Trouble with battery in brand new PB

I have recently bought my PB and I wonder if this is normal behaviour when in use: Fully charge battery will work normally until reaching 65% when it drops immediately to 0% (normal LED and sound notification is present and battery indicator shows no power in battery). Short time connection to charger (5 seconds) restores battery indicator to previous level ie 65%. Than unit work until it reaches 55% and scenario repeats as at 65% level. What should I do? Cheers

Take it back if its new mine recently started having a similaar issue with the latest os update it seems to have about half life then next time i look at it its shutting down.

OS X reports %74 keyboard battery for brand new fully charged batteries

I just placed three brand new fully charged 2450mAh Energizer batteries into my wireless keyboard and OS X reports that it is only %74 charged. Previously I had the same result with rechargeable Duracell batteries but using non-rechargeable batteries OS X reports %100 battery when using new batteries. Is this normal?

The reason just may be that rechargeable batteries no matter what kind (ni-cad, HMDS, or Lithium) are 1.2v batteries rather than 1.5v's like Alkaline batteries. That is why the keyboard and mouse instructions state that, "rechargeable batteries may be used." Which implies to me they are not the first choice of Apple. In all probability, the battery level is in fact calibrated for 1.5v batteries.
No matter, rechargeable's will work fine with more frequent replacement. A handy spare set solves the problem.

Battery on brand new iPod touch drains when synced to a mac and now it won't charge. If you're thinking of buying a new iPod touch, don't bother. The batteries don't work.

The battery on my son's brand new 64G iPod touch drained while it was synced yo the mac. Now it says 100% charged when it's connected to a charger, but drops to zero as soon as it's disconnected. It would appear that, either the battery is faulty or the battery indicator is faulty. iPod batteries are not supposed to drain while syncing. And rechargeable batteries are supposed to recharge after they have drained. Maybe I'm missing something simple here, does anyone know what it is?

I have some troubles with the creation of a new custom adapter for NW 7.1. I have followed some pdf and notes, like :

I have see in the nwa if there are some applications or services that are stopped but all the necessary it's started, just one question : in the pdf for upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1 no one speaks about ejBean or about a creation of it ... it's necessary an ejBean ?? Battery for Brand New MacBook Pro 17"

Hello,
I just purchased a new MacBook Pro 17".
What do I do with battery charing for the first use?
Apple's official battery resource: http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html does not effectively answer the question.
It writes "Be sure to fully charge your portable when you plug it in for the first time, and then run Software Update to ensure you have the latest software."
The question then is, do I run down the battery completely the first time (but never plugging it in), and then when it goes to sleep, charge it all the way up to full?
I basically want to know what to do for the first time - how long do I let the battery run down if at all?

Here's the dirty little secret about lithium batteries: Heat & frequent full discharge/recharge cycles are the two biggest killers of these batteries. Fact is, lithium batteries really don't like to be discharged below 40% of capacity very often. I'm typing this on a 4 1/2 year old MacBook Pro, and my battery is still going strong. It's fine to leave it plugged in all the time, that's what I do. Once every two-three months, I discharge it to about 40% & then recharge. So, charge yours till full, and try to never fully discharge the battery.

Trouble with itunes after adding new nano

I've had an ipod mini for some time and had no troubles. I just got a new 8gb nano and installed it (The latest version of itunes was already installed and working with my old mini). Itunes recognises both ipods (I gave them seperate names) and I have no trouble syncing either one, each with it's own individual content (was actually impressed with how it mannaged two distinct ipods). The trouble is that I can no longer use itunes to play my music on my computer. When I select a song it plays properly for about 2 min. then becomes choppy at the same time itunes becomes unresponsive and is difficult to shut down. I've reinstalled itunes 7 using the repair feature and then the uninstall/reinstall no change. Any thoughts?

Likly a issue with your quicktime,
1) Update your sound card/audio device by going to the PC makers site and seeing if there is an update for your model.
2) In WIndows goto control panel>Quicktime>Audio tab check "Safemode (Waveout Only)" hit OK then reboot the PC for the settings to take

Issue with reinstalling a brand new mac pro

I was recomended to reinstall the leopard since I had some issues with my new 27"
cinema display.( there is an update for the cinema display and my mac did not allow me to updat it so apple care person told me to reinstall the leopard.
After 15 minutes in gto the reinstalling the mac pro has stopped responding and i have a white background with apple logo in the center of the screen fro the last 2 hours.
Any recomindations until the apple care is back on the line.

Make sure you have the display usb cable connected as some of the functionalities
are addressed through the usb cable.

Battery on brand new Ipod Video

I’m looking for advice to assess the quality of my Ipod battery.
I bought a new 30GB video Ipod 2 weeks ago. During the first couple days I noticed that the battery indicator turned red rather quick, so I decided to apply the following battery test:
I fully charged the battery and then played continuous music without stopping. While testing the Ipod, I played music in the most efficient way suggested – did not play video, didn’t change the volume, didn’t use the backlight, etc. After 8 hours the battery was empty! Can any one tell me if this is the normal duration of the battery? I thought that if I only played music, I could get up to 15 hours on my battery.

Trouble with TV shows to new iPod

I just purchased a new 160GB iPod Classic and some of my TV shows will not transfer over. I get an error message that reads "was not copied to iPod because it cannot be played on this iPod"

A new episode for Season 3 of "My Name is Earl" is up..
It is the second episode with number "314" in a row. Perhaps this is why when we try to purchase it, we get "Item you tried to buy is no longer available".
what's up with that. No looking around and coming back to this part of the store helps.

Troubles with G4 Loaner and new HP monitor

Hi!
I am having difficulties ramping up with a loaned Power G4 and a new HP 2009m monitor. I've had these for about a month...
I was never really sure how this older mac should be running, but it is sluggish - the keyboard is very slow, working online is ... just slow. period.
From the beginning, the mouse got a little "lost" over on the right hand side of the monitor. I looked, and discovered there are no drivers for mac to see if that might help.
The last few days, I've had more problems with mouse trails, safari window corrupted, let's see... what else? When I move the mouse over the edge of firefox window it kind of jumps slightly. I thought the other day I thought I had somehow managed to enter a kind of telescoping view that I couldn't get out of... same "bump" when moving mouse around.
Can you help Me??
My iMac had a kernel panic and this was offered. I may crack up if it's not going to work out. I've already lost a lot of time, etc. getting back up to speed. TIA

Could be many things, but One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for action in Safe Mode...
Reboot, test again.
While it can still can be HW such as Video Card, Airport, Mouse, etc., If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it is some 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check System Preferences' Other row.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

/System/Library/StartupItems
Not sure which iMac you had, but an year old Mac isn;t going to be as fast likely, especially the way they've messed up, (enhanced), the internet! How are you connecting? Airport, Ethernet, Dial-up, other?
We can likely fix a few issues, & it should work, just not speedily.

Having troubles with extension manager and new add-on

Hi,
bought a new add-on (never done that before, so it's new to me).
Extension manager CS6 will not load the add-on.
I checked both manager and add-on, both CS6, so it should work.
Updated the manager this morning, which helped a bit, as it is now loading
80%, asking me to accept the disclaimer.
When I do, I get "unexpected error while trying to install".
Then it's loading and installing again. When it's finished there is no new add-on (extension) loaded or to be seen.
Could you help me with this problem, please?

Trouble with signing up for new service.

Hello, I have a problem that I hope you can help with. Tuesday I went online to see if I qualified for your service with no deposit(I did). Unfortunately, I never saw a confirmation notice of approval and I went a few steps too far and actually purchased the phones from you. This wasn't what I intended and I called to cancel. That went ok, but the items had already shipped. I was informed by customer service to just refuse the items and Fedex will send the phone package back.
Wednesday, I never got the shipment and called Fedex to find out why. Apparently you had requested it get returned and that is what they are doing. As of last night it was en route back to you.
Thinking everything with that was taken care of, I decided to still sign up for Verizon Wireless, but wanted to go through Best Buy for the Gold and Blue Galaxy s5's. When I get there I am informed that I already have an account, yet there is no phone number associated with it. So the Best Buy rep has no idea how to proceed, as they cannot set up new service since it appears I already have an account. Nor could they do a work around and upgrade as I had no number.
While I was at the store I tried calling customer service and they were very rude and said they had to have the phones that I ordered back on their way to them. I said they were and told them that I could look on the fedex site and see that they were en route. But the customer service rep was unwilling to help any further.
I was wanting to move over to Verizon as I've heard the service and support was much better than ATT. But I am pretty tired of this mess. I am reaching out to you via facebook and this forum to see what my options are. I was wanting to get these phones by this weekend as the specials that Best Buy were offering may go away.
Please let me know what can be done.
