Trouble with cc installation

Hi I have been using CC for a few months no problem but when I tried to open it last week I had a message "Unable to reach Adobe servers, check firewall settings" even with turning firewall off I still got the same message so after reading up on the problem I deleted CC
and downloaded a new version but now when I try to install it all I get is Adobe Installer opens with the message "Please connect to the internet and try again" can anyone please help with this

All sorted through a chat session, had to ------
In the LAN settings box, check the box 'Automatically detect settings'.
: Then "uncheck" all the other check boxes like 'Use automatic configuration script', 'Use a proxy server' , Bypass proxy server' .
everything good now

  • Any trouble with Mavericks installation?

    Any trouble with Mavericks installation?

I too have upgraded four of my Macs to Mavericks and had no problems at all with any of them. One of the flaws of discussion groups is that one gets a skewed idea of the number of problems that users have because it is human nature to complain about something, whilst the majority of users who don't have a problem seldom bother to remark on this fact!
I, like most of the successful upgraders here, always follow a simple routine that involves firstly backing up, then (if upgrading multiple Macs) creating a bootable drive with the updater on, using Disk Utility or similar to repair permissions before upgrading the OS. I never use the Mac when upgrading and close all the programs and disconnect all external drives, save for the one with the updater on.
Following this routine means that I have never had a problem with an update since OS 7.5 on any of my 16 odd Macs. Of course, smugness always comes before a fall...!

    Hello
I am having trouble with installing Bean Development Kit 1.1.
The BDK 1.1 can't seem to be getting installed on the J2SE 1.4 Java VM. The LaunchAnywhere installer runs and then reports the following error.
    "Can't Launch Executable
(Windows error 1157 occured while loading the Java vm)
Try installing the Java VM or change the Java VM used by the application"
Re-downloading <--- no difference ... still the same error
    Re-installing <--- hmm ... well tried that ... doesnt work ...
Change the VM <--- then whats the use of the new features of J2SE 1.4 if they cannot be used ...
Some one please help me ... Its kind of urgent ... I have a project submission deadline within a few days :)
    Thanks

    Go here:

  • Trouble with Flash Installation

I am having troubles downloading and installing the latest flash and reader versions.  I get the download box after agreeing to the TOS and it goes through the bar and then I get the Initializing Install box and it sits there for a few moments and I get " Installation encountered errors.  Actionlist not found."  Then it takes me to the troubleshooting page.  I have tried both downloaders as well here http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html with the same results.  The machine is running XP Pro 32 bit along with IE8.  I get the same results when using other browser including Firefox and Silverlight.  I'm at wits end and have  tried everything I can think of short of a reformat and install.  Any suggestions?

I can expand somewhat as you are running a different OS than the computer I was working on.  I had to do a repair with the Windows XP disk which got rid of the registry entries for Zeus but was still trying to run.  Once I had all of the updates done from microsoft, I reinstalled Malwarebytes from http://www.malwarebytes.org and ran a full scan. That is what detected the Hotbar malware.  Just for good measure after that I downloaded and installed CCleaner from http://www.piriform.com/ and checked the prefetch data option and ran both the Cleaner and the Registry options. Both of these programs have free and purchased options.  After all of that it finally got both of those out of the system and I was able to download and install Adobe Flash and Reader again.  I hope this helps.  You might just start with the updates and 2 programs as the computer had other issues with a corrupted registry that caused me to do the repair in the first place.

  • Trouble with Tiger installation

I bought Glitch, my Powerbook G4 12", used a couple years ago. The dial-up modem has never worked to my knowledge, but that's the only real trouble I've ever had with him... until now.
A friend of mine had his three day old Macbook Pro stolen, along with over half his toyz... Everything light just vanished one day while he was at work; leaving only an old tower, two old school monitors, and a Toshiba notebook that happened to have been kicked under a couch to keep it from being stepped on. Because I was going to take a holiday anyway (I'm a writer, so that just means getting unwired and reconnecting with the real world... not much of a vacation really.) I decided to loan him my setup, which has been proven portable, so he could still be productive with his art until he could absorb the loss. Starving Artists are just strange like that... we'd rather go hungry to replace tools than stop working and just make ends meet as best we can. ...I was between projects and he was just getting something big off the ground, so it makes sense to us.
Anyway. I was going to upgrade Glitch to Leopard later this week anyway, but my friend still has the software package for his missing Macbook Pro, so we decided to attempt to install Tiger just to tinker around with it for a couple days while I'm visiting from out of state. My fiance has Tiger on his Macbook at home, which we're updating next week... he's not a geek like my artist friend and I, but one of those irritatingly impatient end-user types that don't RTFM before calling up an overworked tech irate. So, if I can upgrade Glitch this week and update his notebook next week, I can skip some of the annoying growling when something goes not exactly according to planned.
    Like today.
I had some work to do on the hardware when the parts come in (boosting RAM, replacing missing screws and worn out keyboard (so keys stop flying off at anything over 45 WPM... because while that can be very entertaining it is hardly amusing), etc.) but this was supposed to give me something to tech out on to fill a lazy afternoon.
Then I get a message. No driver for "Powerbook 6,1"... so, because the software was bundled with a Macbook Pro it won't install to a Powerbook? The licensing allows for it, so I should just need to find the proper hardware profile, right? And if it just needs a patch, that should be available somewhere on the internet, right?
But I couldn't find anything like that on a cursory glance, and I don't really feel like riffling through the murk when I could be vegging out and watching anime... or otherwise enjoying my temporary reprieve. I figured, it couldn't hurt to throw it out here and see if I couldn't find someone who already knows what I'm getting at, or at least has some ideas I haven't thought of... not that I've thought incredibly hard on this or anything. I just figure I'm missing something obvious, because that's usually the way it goes.
I have tried a few different things, and did manage to rescue the drive intact before anything too screwy happened, but is it just me? Or does this really just not make a whole lot of sense? I had been under the impression that Tiger and Leopard were both backwards compatible for my machine, so why on Earth would Apple make a system recovery/installation CD without the obviously indispensable drivers to support older hardwares? The licensing clearly states that the software bundle in my hands can be used only on an Apple machine, and only one of them at a time (I'm assuming preferably one owned or operated by the primary user of that license)... it does not state, however, that this bundle may only be used on the hardware it was supplied with (in particular) or that it must be used on a Macbook Pro (in general).
    In short: ***?
If you have an idea, please, do not hesitate to reply. I'm not sure if this automatically sends email notification... I'm about to look into the settings. If you already know it doesn't, please also send a blip to my email so I know to come back and look for your response.

Actually, yes. Thank you for the confirmation. Now I know that I'm not crazy (at least on this point), because it actually doesn't make sense. I guess you can see where I was going... the logic is sound, it's the distribution that lacks common sense.
Jeez, it's like dealing with lawyers... I think our whole system is screwed because the people in charge of interpreting and enforcing the law are so completely out of sync with reality. I mean, people who take calculated risks assume liability, right? Shouldn't we be able to assume the system works because it has some foundation in common sense? I'm beginning to think that legal #&%$ (technical and otherwise) if really just there to protect idiots from their own ignorance.
Meh... now I'm all disappointed. That is so lame.
I mean, why? Why not just say that in the license? Are they trying to save on printing costs for those little pamphlets or something? It wouldn't surprise me if it really were because they just couldn't be bothered to swap out the words "on a single Apple-labeled computer" with "on a single __(insert model software is linked to)"... blah blah blah. It would be so easy. The license agreement doesn't even have the actual full name of the edition, just OS X, or a little sticker or something with the specific serial, or anything.... nope, no effort what-so-ever was made to make this paperwork actually useful.
Heh... actually, I guess that's the point my lawyer was trying to make to me a few weeks ago when we got into a growling match over some documents. I'm to smart for my own good sometimes, and speak legalese better than most non-legal education types, so I make their job more difficult than they think it needs to be. I guess most attorneys aren't used to their clients asking informed questions or pointing out inaccuracies in language.... I guess most of them don't expect to represent weirdoes like me in accident cases either. Oh well. I should have just done the groundwork myself and just paid someone to look good in a suit. shrug
I'm so wandering... I'll shut up now.
Thanks again, especially for the prompt response and the email.

  • Im having trouble with the installation of the downloaded trial.

Will download and I downloaded the 7z that is necessary one of the two files.
    The install won't initiate.
    Adobe%20Premiere%20Elements%2013-AkamaiDLM.exe
    PremiereElements_13_LS26_win64.7z
We've ordered the Premiere Elements 13 software but wanted to start using the trial until it arrives.

    annp
There are the downloads that require 2 files. One file is the .exe (Adobe Application Manager) and the other file 7z (which is the program itself). You need both of these...first the exe and then the 7z.
When the .exe involves the Akamai, there are typically firewall issues. If you are going to continue with this download, please start again, but this time with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled before you start the download and install process. From where is the download coming..the Adobe web site direct or other?
You could also get the tryout of 13 from the following web site and insert your purchased serial number in them during installation.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools
The key here is to read and carryout carefully the web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" in order to avoid an Access Denied Message.
    Please review and consider.
If any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • Trouble with Leopard Installation

I bought a Macbook Pro on Amazon, and it shipped with Leopard, but not installed.
So I just run up the Leopard Installation DVD, and followed the process.
The thing is, after a loooong time, my computer was still stuck on the boot screen(grey screen with apple logo, and the rounded animations of loading).
Now, every time I turn it on, it doest boot, stay stuck on that screen.
    Can anybody help me?

    Disconnect all non-Apple peripherals.
    1. Erase and install 10.4 from the original startup disks.
    2. Restore following the directions here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61802
    3. Upgrade to Leopard from the Leopard installer disk.
If it still fails, you may need to see if there is a hardware issue with the machine:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303081
If none shows any problem, but it still won't boot either you got a bad installer disk, or you had your machine shipped with bad RAM, and you should call AppleCare:
    http://www.apple.com/contact/phone_contacts.html
Call also the store you bought the machine from to find out what time period do you have to return for replacement of a lemon.

  • Trouble with Filemaker Installation Package-User Issue

I'm have an issue with a downloaded update from Filemaker (.dmg). When I open the file the Installation Package that we all see is a blank icon. Says it wants to open with Adobe PageMaker. If I change user to another I have set up, the package icon is correct and I can install the program. Unfortunately it is for the wrong user. Filemaker tech guy said it had to do with permissions. So I repaired disk permissions with Disk Utility. No good. What else can I do? Any ideas. I don't want to create a whole new user/administrator, since I have hundreds of programs linked to it.

Hello and welcome to the Palm Community Forums.  Please let us know:
    What version of the Palm Desktop you are trying to install, and where you got it (i.e. an original TX installation disc, a copy of an installation disc, or download from this site);
    What is your desktop Operating System;
Whether this is an original Palm software installation, or whether you are installing over a previous Palm installation.
I might also suggest that you *Edit* the Message subject with some references to this info (i.e. Windows version, Palm Desktop version) so you will draw some more specific attention from people who might be able to help.

  • Trouble with DivX installer

When I open DivXInstaller.dmg, I get a *.pkg file with an icon like a sheet of paper. My computer doesn't know which program to use to open it, and neither do I.
    Thanks for your help!

The standard application that uses packages to install applications/plug-ins is the Installer.app in /Applications/Utilities. If the second download gives you the same screwy icon, try dropping in onto the Installer.app and see if that'll work.

  • Troubles with remote installation on older macbook- problem arises when I restart computer while holding down option key

I've got remote disk sharing set up so I can upgrade my operating system from my desktop using snow leopard CD. My Macbook is able to read disk remotely and all goes well following directions for installation until I am supposed to hold down option key while restarting computer. When I do this, only my hard drive is an option for start up, not the hard drive and the disk as it shows in the instructions and pop up menu for start up. Why? What am I doing wrong with the start up? Also, it says I should be able to choose the Airport network, but my computer automatically connects and anyways, that is also not an option from the pop up menu (to choose a network and enter password), that pop up menu section doesn't show up at all, it goes right to choosing disc icon where only mac hard drive, not mac os x install, is an option. Does this make sense? I'm giving up for now.
    Thanks.

The only known way to make it work on an external drive is by first installing Windows onto an internal drive, then cloning the install to an external Thunderbolt drive. Thunderbolt is seen as an extension of the internal bus, so Windows doesn't see it as an external device.

    the very best solution:
This is easy to get around. The error is only in Nokia's combined installer, not the NSU installer itself.
    1. Download and install 7-Zip. Don't worry it's free!
(No, neither WinRAR nor WinZip will do for this)
    Get it here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
    2. Use 7-Zip to extract the contents of NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe into a folder. You should now have a bunch of folders and a few files.
    3. Go into Packages, then NokiaSoftwareUpdater, then Setup
    4. Launch NokiaSoftwareUpdater.msi (double-click it).
    5. That's it!

  • Troubles with the installation of an old version of Elements

I have a quite old version of Elements, regularly purchased. I have just changed my system and I would like to install my Elements Package on my new PC. But it seems to be impossible as an error message appears, saying : "before the installation it is necessary to get Explorer 4.0 (or a more recent version). In fact, MS Explorer is already installed on my machine (the most recent version). My operative system is MS Windows 7 Professional. How can I solve my problem? Many thanks in advance.

There is apparently a problem with IE10+ in that it is mistakenly seen as being IE1.  To get around this either use a different browser or use compatibility view (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility -view#ie=ie-10)
It might not be possible to install your older version on a new machine but it depends on just how old it is.
