Trouble with Check Out process
I've never come across this issue but my client is saying that they are having trouble checking out on their website. I have tried and have no problems.
This is what they have come back:
The issue is that while Brightsparks themselves may not have made changes,
the people Brightsparks use for the payment part of things, HAVE made
changes. https://pggwpromoshop.worldsecuresystems.com, used to resolve to
202.176.14.137. Today, it resolves to 54.252.148.183.
Would it be possible for you to confirm with World Secure Systems that this
is a permanent change? Gen-I charge us for these changes, so we like to
minimise them as much as possible.
Brightsparks is me in the above statement.
I have absolutely no idea what they are getting at and why they would have any troubles checking out. Does anyone have an idea or can point me in the right direction?

Hi Kirst, there was big migrations over the year and the final parts for the AU datacentre was very recently, there was a message directly in the admin for a week before this happened.
Everything has changed. You can find the information and posts about it on the blog that have happaned over the last few months.

Authorization: Can I check-out processes from Solution in Read mode?

I am building a new set of user roles, but seems to get stuck with this one.
With T-code: SOLMAN_DIRECTORY I would like to issue read access to users, but still give them the possibility to check-out processes to the maintenance project.
So far - I have managed to get the read access right, but the check-out button is greyed out (Inactive).
My wish is to keep the users from changing the contents and set-up of the Solution, but still be able to go look for a process and request the check-out when found.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

when you activate the Check-out/Check-in functionality the complete process structure of the solution will only be available in display mode. So you don't need additional authority checks to pretend changes in the solution.
In general, the authority object AI_SOL_DIR is used in Solution Directory. The activities "02 Change" and "03 Display" are available for the solution structure. In addition, an extended maintenance activity is necessary to be able to activate/deactivate the check-out/check-in functionality for a solution this is "36 Extended Maintenance".

Updating record with check out in Workflow by Import Server
Hi,
I have a Workflow starting with "Checkout". During the Workflow, a syndicate is executed, a WebService is called and the response is processed by Import Server.
The record is not updated because it's u201Ccheckoutedu201D.
The user that executes the Import Server is the Admin, which have all roles and the u201CAuto-Join checked out recordsu201D parameter is u201Cyesu201D.
Can I update a record with check out by Import Server? The MDM version is 5.5.64.71

1. Auto-Join checkout records -->Yes ; should join the record which is already checkedout as well as in workflow.
2. Check the [owner] assigned to workflow record that might stop you to AUTO-JOIN this record to exisiting.

How to get "ShareWithMe" files with "check out" status?

I was working on try to get "ShareWithMe" documents via SharePoint 2103 Query APIS with CSOM and REST service.
Practically it works good using the "SharedWithUsersOWSUSER"
manage property from this way:

But, this search query is not working for files that has been set up to "check out", I
mean this scenary :
e.g
I upload a new file to my documents.
Check out the file.
Share this file with someone.
I could verify that "SharedWithUsersOWSUser" property has a empty value for check out files that has been shared with someone, and this it will be the reason for what the query displayed above is not working in this case.
an extra test that I did it was : change the file shared from "check out" to "check in" and then the query it worked as expected.
Is there some way to get also these files(with "check out" status) ? I can see that it works very well on OneDrive for business - "ShareWithMe" page, I mean all files that it were shared with the current user are listed there, without to
take into account if these files it were set up to check out or not. Please, some suggestion ?When the file is checked out and metadata is changed while it is checked out the search crawler will not pick up the change until it is checked in. Clarification on Direct Store Delivery - Check In/Check Out Process
Hi! I am new to DSD and have been getting most of the information from SAP Help. I want to clarify the process relating to the check in and check out of subsequent loads. This may be best illustrated by an example below:
1. A sales order is created for a customer for 10 units of material ABC.
2. Delivery document and shipment document are created for this sales order.
3. Driver picks up the material from the warehouse.
4. A check out of 10 units is confirmed in SAP.
5. After delivery is completed, the driver confirms the check in unit. 9 is delivered and 1 is 'returned' but sitting on the driver's truck (by selecting the remain on truck indicator).
6. Carry out settlement. In this case, the system creates a driver credit sales order of 1 unit and a return loading note (sales order) of 1 unit.
Questions:
1. Is it true that the return loading note of 1 unit created is for information only and has no impact to next day's processing? In that case, what is the use of creating this return loading note?
2. Even though we have indicated that the 1 unit returned is to remain on the truck, it seems that with the driver credit sales order, we are still returning the unit back to the warehouse/plant.
3. Relating to 2, if on the next day the driver needs to service another customer and requires 5 units of material ABC, do we create a sales order for 5 or a sales order for 4 (noting that there is already one sitting on the truck - this also means that we should not process the return on the driver credit sales order?).
4. Do we then check out 5 units or 4 units?
What is the standard SAP solution to handling the leftover check-in units as stipulated in this scenario?
Appreciate any advise on the above.

Possible problems with Check out and Open Component and delayed publishing
Hi,
I've experienced some seemingly wrong behaviors of the checkout and open component and also with the delayed publishing feature, I've listed it down :
1) The all important one:
We know we've delayed publishing features for content, if we set the Release Date metadata at a future date, the content will not be released immediately, but do we have a delayed publishing features for a website page. Through manage website the user can add / delete a page(section), may do include or exclude from navigation etc.. but can they set a future date when a particular page can be included in or excluded from navigation? This should be a standard feature for a WCM solution and I hope there is some solution for sure.
2) Can we set a datefield with a calendar feature as a page custom (section) property?
3) Again the issue with checkout and open component, only the user with admin privilege seems to be able to change the content, normal contributors cannot, cause every time is tries to check in with the old author name, so the user has to have admin privilege to assign a different doc author's name. No trace also who is making the changes.
4) Also facing a lot of problems while trying to implement when we use this checkout and open component. As we cannot check who is making the change there is to way to set us a step for self review, also user can only approve or reject but cannot edit the doc before passing it to the next step, if the step user is created using tokens then only checking out of the doc takes it pass the step user, but everything is working perfect with contributor data file. No problem whatsoever. Even if we use manual check out and then check in (i mean without using checkout and open component) this is working fine. But the main problem with non-technical users will be they would not like the content server portal at all and they would always prefer ms word over anything else. They would directly like to double-click on the website page, the word doc will pop up and they would make change and save.
Issue 1 and 4 are killer issues for us, I need your help to find a solution. I have few more issues that i will post later.

you will need to install DIS on the client machines. The POC that i did was integration of SiteStudio with CheckOutAndOpenInNative.
I am also planning to referenc this functionality from WebSphere, what i have in my mind is to copy the java script from my sitestudio page and paste
it in the JSP, and then using the CIS or RIDC will execute the serverices. At present i am stuck in some other work, If i get this thing working i will
update you. In the meanwhile if you have some question for me, feel free to throw them.

Troubles with playing out from Final Cut Studio to a camera
hello!
have troubles when playing out to a DV camcorder. i 've got a mac mini intel, final cut studio and 2 sony DV cameras with dv in.
capturing works fine, but when i put the captured movie to the timeline, then on both cameras there are 4 small bars (2 vertical, 2 horizontal), which shows some content of the captured files. the rest of the display stays black. looks very strange.
tried to reinstall quicktime, tried to erase quicktime receipts and quicktime settings.. it worked then, but just for one time. after restarting the mac the same problem occured.

Need help with check out form - Payment method error
When I check out error comes up "Payment Method must be selected" though it is.
The 30 day account option works but Credit cards get the above error.
Anyone able to help me?

I personally like to Crop, and then use PNG for my screen-caps. If I need more images, say to show other Palettes, etc., then I do one each for those shots.
We see a lot of full-screen caps posted, where aggressive JPEG is used, and nothing can be read. That is especially true with images, like Adobe Encore's Flow-chart, where there is a lot of text and linking being shown.
Just my personal preferences.

I am trying to use JSTL but it is not working very well.
For instance, <c:out value="${4+4}"/> writes out 4+4
instead of 8. Any idea what is going on?

tanitmOne highly possible reason is that the EL is not evaluating.
EL - expression language is whatever is inside ${.... }
One of the main reasons why EL doesn't evaluate is if the configuration is not set up properly.
You didn't mention which version of JSTL, I'm assuming JSTL 1.1
For JSTL 1.1 , your Webserver (a.k.a container) should be based on Servlet 2.4 spec, check the following
1) servlet.jar version should be 2.4 or higher - look for the version inside the Manifest.MF file inside the jar file
2) web.xml should conform to the servlet 2.4 version, so inside your web.xml make sure you have the following exactly as it appears below:

I'm kind of new to using left outer joins, so I don't know if I'm doing it quite right. Right now there's only one table that may or may not have a corresponding record, so I'm only using left outer join on it. I get the error ORA-00904: "A"."SGBSTDN_PIDM": invalid identifier right now when I try to run my query. This gives me the impression that I need to use left outer join on all the tables in my FROM clause. Any suggestions on what I need to do?

I suggest re-writing the query using all ANSI syntax.

It appears that by having the clauses

AND shrlgpa_gpa_type_ind = 'O'that those I'm trying to pull in with the left outer join are being eliminated. Is it possible to still limit the hours earned while pulling in those who do not have a record on shrlgpa? Before I was just using a UNION to accomplish this, but I thought that I might be able to fine tune the query to eliminate the need for another UNION. -

Trouble with File Out rendering
When rendering File Out nodes, Shake sometimes are not overwriting the existing file (when rendering multiple times..)
How can I get Shake to overwrite the existing File Out file?It has been my experience that if Shake encounters an error writing to the FileOut (say if FCP has the file open), you encounter NO error message. Shake will spend the time rendering but never write out the file. In general, just prior to rendering, I delete the output at the finder level...

i just plugged in a 3,5 headphones into the macbook. everything worked fine. after i unplugged headphones, the internal speakers didn't came back. the port is now red illuminated and system preferences show "digital out". there is no chance to switch back to "internal speakers".
restart didn't help. any other reset possibility or does it look like a hardware error?

andinothing helped. i did pmu and pram reset, installed a clean version os osx. nothing helped. after restart or opening the lid the jack is again red illuminated (i suppose it is laser for the digital out) and internal speakers are dead. i guess that the macbook thinks that there is a digital cable which of course is not.
i guess it is a firmware related problem, cause when i am booting i can hear the start-up sound thru internal speakers and when os x is loaded, the speakers are dead.
any more ideas?

Iam facing a big challenge in trying to process a Customer reservation check in ,check out process for guest houses and Hotel properties for my client using RE-FX functionality.I have already defined a room using the architectural view and used the customer rights of use contract for the process. The challenges are , iam failing to pick up the room from the contract when assigning it in the contract on the object tab page
2 whether also the particular contract i have picked up is the correct one for this business process.
Help to this particular issue is very much appreciated

In order to use any rental object in a contract you have to ensure following;
1. Rental object is created in usage view. Here if you have architectural object then you can assign this with Rental object.
2. Rental object is permitted for your required contract type.
This way you can pick your object from Object tab in contract.
