Trouble with digital copy

I received a message from iTunes that an error occurred while transferring my movie from digital copy. The movie does not show up on my iPad under purchased.

How did your movie get to iTunes originally?  For example, did you purchase it in the iTunes Store?  If so, was it purchased using the same Apple ID as your iPad uses?

Perhaps try the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:

  • Aparture 3 – Can you link a CD-copy with digital copy available on Mac App Store?

Is it possible to link my CD-copy of Aparture 3, which I have on my Mac, with the digital copy that the Mac App Store offers?

No, unfortuntely it wouldn't be possible for you to do that. iTunes wouldn't allow that because you didn't purchase it from iTunes.

  • Help with digital copy film on mac

hi, i got the hangover blu-ray for christmas and it comes with a free digital copy, which i was very happy about, so i follow the steps and go to the website where it says, sorry, its windows only, this is the first time i have had one that is windows only, now as well on the website's main page there is a help video which shows a video being transferred to a iphone/ipod touch, yet when i select that i have the hangover blu-ray and want the digital copy, it says sorry, windows only. any ways of getting it on my mac would be very helpful and make my christmas. thanks in advanced.

It's probably related to some type of DRM (copy-protection) on the digital copy, and not due to it being any particular type of file format. The DRM scheme probably only works under Windows. And if that is the case, I don't think you will be able to get it to work under Mac OS X, short of running VMware Fusions or Parallels Desktop (or Sun's free VirtualBox) and installing Windows to run under Mac OS X.
Considering the popularity of Macs recently, and higher use of Macs among creative folks, it's pretty stupid for the studio/distributor to make a key feature Windows-only.

  • Hassle with Digital Copy - Peeved at Customer Service

I bought Sex and the City: The Move (extended cut) that came with a digital copy. When I redeemed my digital copy it had me download the theatrical cut instead of the extended cut. I did the whole “Report a Problem” bit in iTunes which kicked me to Apple’s support page to contact someone. I did and the person I’m speaking with doesn’t appear to speak English or understand my situation.
Customer Service (aka “Judy”) says, “Cristina you would be able to get the original cut of the movie for your iPod would not be play the extended cut of the Sex and the City movie for the file would be too big.” Now, honestly I don’t know what she is talking about so I assumed she was trying to tell me I couldn’t have the extended cut because the file is too big? Um then why do you have the extended cut for download in the iTunes Store?
I stood my ground saying stating this weirdness; I also resubmitted my support ticket to possibly get someone else to help me as well. She responded this morning saying I get 3 video credits, and that if I have anymore issues I should take it up with Fox’s Digital Copy Site; too bad my movie is by New Line Cinema, so that doesn’t help me very much.
With my credits in tow, I proceeded to download the extended cut. Once my download begins I get some kind of warning message saying my video credit only works on some movies. The movie was charged to my credit card instead of being redeemed through my video credits. I reported the problem through iTunes again, and I replied to the current Customer Service rep that's been helping me.
I'm getting really frustrated with this. Any idea if there is anything else I should do other than what I'm already doing? All I wanted was the correct copy. I thought I was getting that through the video credit. Now I have $15 on my credit card.

Keep with your original case # (it should be in the subject line of the email) and ask for a supervisor's help.

  • Trouble with digital copies

Hello all, I'm having problems transferring a digital copy of a film to my iPod from iTunes. I get this message:
The iPod is currently linked to another iTunes library. In order to copy the movie to this iPod, you must link this iPod with this iTunes library.
Doing so will remove the other digital copies from my Nano. I recently replaced a dead computer and I was unable to recover most of my files from the dead hard drive, so my digital copies reside solely on my iPod. I was, however, able to resync my music library with recovered data and I can add music from my current library (plus new music purchases) to my Nano to my heart's content. Why is this stupid digital copy giving me such headaches? DRM? Am I screwed?
    Before anyone asks:
    - The Nano is set to "manually manage music and videos" already. It didn't help.
    - I can add other videos to my iPod (from iTunes Store and other sources) with no issue.
Is there any workaround for this other than pulling the other DC's off my iPod and re-adding them later? Thanks in advance!

    DRM? Am I screwed?
It's possible. Do an internet search for a possible workaround.

  • Trouble with Digital output on Live Value under Windows

I have a soundblaster li've value card in my system using the digital output in win98se and all works fine. I just upgraded to WinXP. The windows drivers worked fine once i switched them to digital output. However, i lost the Creative mixer and wanted it back. I then downloaded your Unipack driver for the Li've card for winXP and lost the digital output even when i toggled to digital output control. I then downloaded the li've value from the Gateway site since they OEM'd the card in my system and the digital is working again. However, they do not provide the Creative mixer. Is there anyway I can get the Creative Mixer to work in XP wiith the li've value card? Thanks
    Soundblaster FAQ states:
Some name brand systems shipped with a special Li've! Value card that was made to work with digital speakers. If you system shipped with a Li've! Value and you have digital speakers you will need to use drivers provided by your system manufacturer. If you use the drivers on the Creative website your card will no longer work with your digital speakers.
Boston Acoustic Digital Speakers or Prebuilt System With a Digital Li've! Card
If you have a set of Boston Acoustic digital speakers that came with your system and they are not working with your sound card, make sure you have it connected to the digital out on the card. Also make sure that the digital out is enabled.

I still always get the value 0.0 returned for minA. I
know that the data is being correctly stored because I
have a seperate report frame that displays all values
    for all entries.
Any ideas where the flaw is?
    Thanks!
Hey, there. It's unlikely that your users are entering negative numbers which are the only numbers that will be less than zero. You need to initialize your minA to be some quite large number.

  • Troubles with digital download from Warner Bros.

I purchased the Inception Combo Pack (DVD+Bluray+Digital Copy) and neglected to download the digital copy in time. Then, Warner Bros. extended the time of all their digital downloads (still cannot believe that!) and so I attempted to do the download again. The steps are as follows:
    1) Go to a WB website and enter the verification code
    2) A new code is generated to input later through iTunes. Click Ok to continue to open iTunes
    3) Enter the new code, click ok
    4) Asks for my AppleID and Password
This is where things go funny. It keeps going back to step 4. Over and over. I thought maybe after going through it 3 or 4 times it might eventually work but it has not. I sent a message to WB's help and they just refered me to iTunes Community Support.
I was able to get all the Harry Potter digital copies this way and recently downloaded The Avengers (although that is through a different method because it's from a different studio).
Anyone had any similar issues like this and how was it resolved?
    Thank you.

  • Bought retail movie, with digital copy, downloaded & watched, now what?

This is a question for my wife who actually uses an ipad. I collect movies and activate the digital copies into her / our itunes account. For the first time, she's now downloaded one and watched it on a flight. If she deletes the local copy, will it automatically go back to the cloud (recreate the cloud download symbol) for later viewing, or is there some special procedure that she must follow in order not to lose the ability to download it again or stream it again? Thanks.

If she was able to watch the movie on a flight - then that means that the movie is actually residing on the iPad. You don't have to do anything to watch it again other than to go to the Videos App and tap on the movie to start it again. If you downloaded the movie onto the device or synced it from iTunes after downloading it there, it is on the iPad.
If you want to be sure, go to the Videos App and look for it. If it does not have the cloud icon next to, then it's on the device, and not in the cloud. I don't know if you can download digital downloads again, so if she wants to delete it from the iPad, I would transfer it into iTunes before deleting it. Then she can sync it back later if she wants to watch it again. I have two movies that had digital downloads. I downloaded them in iTunes and synced them to the iPad and I have the movies safely stored in my iTunes Library on my. Mac.

Quick edit. Apparently you can download digital downloads again. Take a look at this. I just found it.

  • Trouble watching digital copy movie in iTunes

I transferred a digital copy movie to iTunes. When I try to play the movie on my new MacBook Pro, I get a message, "This movie cannot be played on this computer." I was able to transfer and watch a different digital copy movie. Help!!

Okay, but being "checked and highlighted" does not cause media to sync.
Do you manually manage the content on the device or use the sync feature as designed?
If manually managing the content, can you "drag and drop" the media onto the device?
If syncing, go to the Movies (or video) tab and select the video there, then sync.
    Does it work now?

  • Trouble with digital PWM using an M-series Daq

    Hello,
I am trying to control 8 independent digitally pulse width modulated Thermoelectric Peltier couples using the 6221 daq. I have tried using the digital PWM for M-series daq example that is available, but can only get the first line to output a signal.  When different lines are selected using the drop down menu, they create no output signal.  What am I doing wrong?
Would this program (with some modifications) capable of running 8 different lines of signal?  All 8 signals will be run at the same frequency, with only the duty cycle needing to be independently changed, so I assume I will only need to use one counter?
I have struggled with the example program for several hours, and cannot figure out why only the first line will output a signal. It says it was posted only a few days ago so I wonder if there is something wrong with it.
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated because I am at a standstill until I get this resolved
    Thank You
    -Gabe

    Hey,
I found an example which you could use to build up on it. It works on 8 lines.

  • Trouble with Digital Signature

    Hello,
         I get the message
    "This document cannot be signed.
There was an error when attempting to commit this signature. This document was not saved.
The file may be a read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
The security on the PDF is not set to read only.  I have done this with several other people in the office and do not have a problem.  She has both 9 and 7.05 on her comp.  I have had her open it in both versions with no luck.  Is there something I am missing?

Problem solved, we got a new server and the settings got reset over the weekend.
