Trouble with fantom language aur package

i used packer to get the fantom language package from the aur. i need to add the  install directory to my path. how do i find out where it installed to?
i found some fantom stuff in /opt/fantom, but when i add /opt/fantom/bin to my path, or just call the commands explicitly (/opt/fantom/bin/fan -version) for example, nothing happens. this leads me to believe this is not the directory i should be adding to my path.
any ideas? anyone out there even USE fantom?

I don't use java and it's the first time I've heard about fantom, but I've installed it and got
[karol@black ~]$ ls -l /opt/fantom/bin

  • Trouble with Fantom drive / Disk Utility won't erase it

Until a few days ago, i had no problems with my Fantom 160 GB titanium drive. Then when i connected it to a freind's Mac, it started out OK fora few minutes, when my brother was playing around with creating an air network between the friend's computer, to which my fantom drive was attached, and my laptop. When i tried to activate the network, the Mac semi froze for a few minutes and just didn't do anything. when it started to move again, the fantom drive was showing 0 files in the finder window, and wouldn't eject.
So i turned it off and back on, which was probably a mistake; then the drive gave a message that it was unreadable.
Since i wouldn't lose too much data, i had no problem reinitializing the drive, but Disk Utility kept telling me that the erase failed.
When i try to verify the drive in Disk Utility, i get the error -9972: "Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)"
This is the same text i get when i try to erase the drive, but without the error number.
I see at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302411 that this message this is bad, as Disk Utility cannot fix it.
Currently, the drive does not show up on the desktop, but it does show up in Disk Utilities. It stopped telling me the drive is unreadable.
    Is this drive beyond help?

    Dale,
that post is helpful, but I'm not sure how much it applies to me. My ibook shows no problems when not connected to the firewire drive, while the firewire drive started acting up when connected to another computer. i have also not been able to get the firewire drive to work on two other macs. The Fantom drive showed up as unreadable on all three, and Disk Utilities on all 3 computers failed to erase the firewire drive. By brother's had Disk Warrior & it wasn't able to do anything for the fantom drive, either.

  • Is anyone else having trouble with Audio Assets not packaging correctly? Indd CS6

When I go to package my indesign files, which appear properly linked and organized, rather than bundling the play and pause icons in one folder labeled Audio (in an Overlay Assets folder) like it should, it collects as two Audio folders (both into an Overlay Assets folder). I do have two audio resources I'm using (the same mp3 file for each audio button). When I collect, I see one folder is named Audio and has nothing in it. Nor does the 2nd folder, named Audio 402-12510241 but with a long 12 digit code in the filename (this number changes each time I attempt to bundle.). So each time I try to package, then open the newly packaged file, the audio controller files show up as missing assets.
Here's two alert messages I get when I:
    A. Try to package a file
    B. Try to preview on iPad
If I manually dump these collected audio folders and replace into the Overlay Assets folder it works to preview on the iPad. And seems to work. But try repackaging and you get the same scenario.
Any ideas how to resolve this?
    —Brian

Well it worked, kind of. Opened and worked in CC. Previewed to iPad just fine. Packaged folder on the CC machine, which seemed to create correct overlay asset folders with the audio plan and pause pngs. Yeah.
Then, I followed the steps from your note, copied the whole folder to the cs6 machine. Opened the idml in that folder, where there was also the CC version, saved the idml as a new filename in cs6. And if I stop right there, I likely have good files.
But for good measure, I tried to package again, hoping this time I'd see the audio folders in the right place. But no dice. The packaged file creates two empty audio folders. The reason I keep trying to re-package is because I'll be adding more content to these files and will have to re-package at least one more time before uploaded article into an actual folio. And I want to address the problem before going to the Cloud. I'm a bit hesitant to upload given the behavior of these audio files. I've tried importing new audio files with new controller files but that doesn't work.
Days ago, doing troubleshooting of the file, I noticed an old remnant which I deleted from the CC file, and that was a plain text box (with 100% color fill) that had an audio controller file path/location (in the audio folio overlay panel) that linked backed to the CC machine. This was an accident to link this colored box, and it had no mp4 link (or audio controller files) attached to it in the links folder. But deleting the box did delete this audio pathway.
So I can keep doing what I'm doing, replacing the Overlay Assets folder with a custom Audio folder each time, but I'll have to do this to my other 700 pages of iPad documents that will follow this chapter. I'd rather just understand what is happening, fix the file once, then move on and use the corrected files for a template to use for other 20 chapters i have to build.
Mac OS 10.7.5 (which keeps telling me there is an CS6 update but then after updating it, the same update is ready for me to download again). So maybe my OS has something to do with it? Or working on two separate harrdrives that are both within the same tower? I'm trying to work on just one, but I have copied files onto this 2nd drive, which I plan to add as new articles to a new folio as soon as I figure this out.
    What do you think?

  • Trouble with foul language when using dictation?

I've been using the dictation tool, which is remarkably useful. But it has a significant downside, which is that when I mistakenly hit the shortcut key (fn twice), and don't dictate, it begins inserting random words into my text. These range from "hey there" and other innocuous terms, all the way to four-letter words.
Both types of random insertions are bad, in part because I then have to go back through any transcribed text to extract the random insertions. But the four-letter words are obviously a major concern for my professional work.
I have tested to make certain that the random insertions aren't just misinterpretations of something I said. I left open a document I had been working on, placed the cursor in the middle of the text, and then hit the shortcut key. Pretty soon, in popped a word that would make my grandmother blush.
    What's up with that?!?

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have cleared all cookies and reset Safari, several times.
I just discovered that having that box checked does NOT prevent me from
logging into e-mail, when using Firefox web browser, version 3.6.19
I was wrong to have made the statement about different browsers, in my previous posting.

  • Trouble with Natural Language Search

When I type a normal question in the Search text box (e.g.,
What are my payment options?), I do not get any results. Yet if I
remove the words "What are my" and do a search on "payment options"
I get results. I already have a payment options index entry. Why is
"What are my" messing up the search results? I thought a person
should be able to ask a normal question.

I'm going to bet that you're testing the NLS feature on a
project that you generated but did not publish to a RoboEngine
    server. The NLS feature will
not work on a project generated to your local drive; it must
be published first. So if you generate your project and then view
it, the behavior you describe--questions don't return results, but
terms do--will occur. (Actually, it's not a "question" issue; it's
the result of entering too many terms into the search field.)
On the off chance that you're testing the feature from the
RoboEngine server, check your RoboEngine search settings. It's
possible that they're set too high, which lowers the number of
    search results.
To check the engine's search settings:
    1. Open the Configuration Manager.
    2. Open the engine.
    3. Click the
    Projects icon.
    4. Check the number in the
Relevance Threshold field. The higher the number, the fewer
    search results the engine returns.
    Good luck!

  • [SOLVED]Weird conflict with official packages and aur packages

Hi. I have enchant-zemberek installed on my system. It is my package that i'm maintaining at AUR. Yesterday i tried to install poedit which depends on enchant. Weirdly altoguh enchant-zemberek provides enchant; pacman tried to remove enchant-zemberek and instead install enchant. Otherwise it won't let me install poedit. I have updated enchant-zemberek PKGBUILD and pacman let me install poedit without forcing me to install enchant. Here is what i have in my first PKGBUILD before update:
    replaces=("enchant")
    provides=("enchant")
    conflicts=('enchant')
    And after updating;
    replaces=("enchant=${pkgver}")
    provides=("enchant=${pkgver}")
    conflicts=('enchant')
Now, i'm wondering while an AUR package have different package name than the official one why pacman tries to replace it? Why PKGBUILD needs package version in provides tag? Say, if i want to keep my own my-abc-1.0-1.i686.pkg.tar.xz but official package abc-1.1-1.i686.pkg.tar.xz released; must i keep my package only in Ignores array? Should i report this as a bug?
Last edited by tarakbumba (2011-04-07 09:52:41)

No, its not a bug. poedit depends on gtkspell which depends on enchant>=1.5.0 - your original custom enchant package did not provide any specific version of enchant, so pacman pulled in the repo package instead to satisfy the versioned dependency. As you have built your package with replaces=enchant, pacman also honours that.

  • Cannot retrieve aur packages installed with yaourt

I accidently deleted /var/lib/pacman folder while attempting to solve my update issues (updating system after a long time) . I restored my local pacman database with the excellent guide in the wiki using /var/log/pacman.log  http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pac … l_database. I was able to update and restore my system. However, yaourt is not listing my installed aur packages. I re-installed yaourt and tried packer as well but it is not able to find the aur packages I installed using yaourt earlier to my update ( It is able to install and list new aur packages) . I can run the old aur packages  but I am not able to remove or list them. How can I list these lost aur packages or remove them completely? Is there a way to retrieve the database for aur packages installed with yaourt?
    Thanks.

    Hi karol,
    Thanks for your response.
Executing pacman -Qm only lists aur packages which were installed after I accidently deleted /var/lib/pacman. I am not able to list those aur packages that I installed with yaourt prior to my /var/lib/pacman deletion. I am not sure how the accidental deletion and this issue is related, but I would like to delete these old aur packages. One example of such an aur package installed through yaourt (prior to blunder of /var/lib/pacman deletion ) was chromium-browser. I am able to run chromium-browser, but since this package is very old I would like to remove it. However, neither pacman nor yaourt is able to remove it.

Chromium-browser is just one of the packages I remember having installed using yaourt prior to the /var/lib/pacman deletion. I would like to know if there is a way to find all such aur packages installed through yaourt prior to /var/lib/pacman deletion and if possible, delete them.
    Thanks.

  • Craete AUR package with no url in PKGBUILD ?

    Hi.
I am trying to create a package for AUR.
The package is just a script installed to /usr/local/bin
it has no url as the script is included (as source)
how can I create a package with no 'url' - when I try to upload to AUR is says I needed a url section
    I created one with
    url=()
but then I get (when submitting package)
'Package URL is missing a protocol (ie. http:// ,ftp://)'
Can anyone help upload an AUR package (with no ur) ?
    Cheers !

Just open a thread here for the package and link it in the PKGBUILD, like this package:
    https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=41689
UPDATE - Sorry, not that one, that is recursive
This one is a better example:
    https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=32483

  • How to list AUR packages in terminal with yaourt or other helper?

I can list packages I have installed from AUR, for example to find all the developer components of Xfce that I have installed, I can run the following command:
        pacman -Qim | grep -E "Name           : xf".+devel
    Which outputs:
        Name           : xfce4-appfinder-devel
        Name           : xfce4-dev-tools-devel
        Name           : xfce4-panel-devel
        Name           : xfce4-session-devel
        Name           : xfce4-settings-devel
        Name           : xfdesktop-devel
        Name           : xfwm4-devel
But, how do I find out if there are other packages that match the same regex pattern available in the AUR, maybe using yaourt? When I try:
        yaourt -Si | grep -E "Name           : xf".+devel
I get no output. When I don't include .+devel, I find out that none of the AUR packages are included. If I try to force it to search the AUR by including -a, it says that's not a valid option.
So, how do I search the AUR from the terminal?

    falconindy wrote:
cower transparently supports regex -- but not thanks to the AUR. In reality, the query "xf.*-devel" is actually asking the AUR to search for "xf". The returned results are filtered against the regex "xf.*-devel" and out pops magic.
    Yaourt doesn't do this.
I saw that, but Yaourt should be able to simply query the AUR without it trying to install stuff, but how? Does anyone know? I knew yaourt didn't support regex, that's why I was piping the output to grep. It worked for pacman, and works for yaourt when it uses pacman, but I can't figure out how to get it to return the contents of the AUR so I can pipe those contents through grep.

  • Language trouble with Infoset CRM_MKTTG_BP_CENTRAL

    Hi *,
we are using infoset CRM_MKTTG_BP_CENTRAL assigned to an attribut list.
Once we use attributes for filtering in segmentation logged on with any language the attributes (e. g. ALTER (age)) are shown in German language.
Shouldn*t the system use the SAP standard language stored in the system?
How to handle this for foreign logon languages?
    Kind regards
    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,
the attributes within an attribute list are always displayed in the logon language if available. If the attribute values are not available in the logon language this takes any existing language.
The translation can be done the following way:
In CRMD_MKTDS (logged on in EN) when you create the filters these will be maintained in with an English description.
When you then log on in DE, you need to first copy the descriptions to the logon language in CRMD_MKTDS. This functionality then checks if a description exists in the logon language and adopts this. To do this from tx CRMD_MKTDS, enter the attribute list you would like to translate, thens elect the button "Update Data Source" and select "Copy Description in Logon Language".
    Is this answering the question?
    best regards,
    Johannes

  • Upgrading certain AUR packages when specific official packages change

I'm having some trouble with updating. As many Archers, I use some packages from AUR. In my case, I'm using bauerbill specifically to update packages from AUR just like I would with pacman. Quite convenient (thx, xyne!)
But I have some packages that need to be rebuild from AUR when certain official packages are updated, e.g. compiling thinkhdaps against the new kernel version, or updating Lightning and Enigmail from AUR when I update my Thunderbird. However, so far I have not yet found a way to do this: calling specific commands when certain packages are changed.
Is there any way to do this in pacman or one of the other arch package managers? Or do you have a clue about how to write a script that could do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

dmz wrote:You could watch (with inotify) the pacman log for specific applications and events. Turn this into a daemon, and execute relevant commands when application X is updated.
But I think that seems to be a problem as you wouldn't know which applications to keep watching since some might need to be re-built, and others might not.
I guess watching every package installed outside of pacman (pacman -Qm) would be the only way to see which AUR package needs to be re-built. Depending on how many packages you have installed from AUR or external sources, this could be very fast to extremely slow.

  • Trouble with booting system after upgrade udev= systemd

    Hi everybody,
I have been trouble with my system since last upgrade (udev => systemd)
My issue is something like this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1106157 but advice from this discussion doesn't work.
When system booting, *immediately* (very fast, too fast) display login screen after start parsing hook [udev]
Of course, i can't login - type username and i have redraw screen again on all /dev/tty* - i have no chance to type password.
Many invalid logins suspend init for 5 minutes and allow me see display error due stop redraw screen - libpam.so.0 cannot find.
I suspect that, partitions aren't mount (this fast login screen doesn't have even hostname). I have a 4 discs, with many partitions - mounting
this take a some time (+- 5 secs).
In rescuecd, i can mount all partitions and chroot. In chroot all works fine - /bin/login (i was checked authorization on all users),
paths and pams are ok. Of course i try ,,default rescue trick'': `pacman -Suy linux udev mkinitcpio` and 'mkinitcpio -p linux' on rescuecd
but nothing it's changed after reboot. I checking grub config, and unpack and check initramfs-linux.img - all ok.
In my mkinitcpio.conf ofcourse i have MODULES="ext3" (for my filesystems).
    Please help.

This may or may not be related... but I saw this message just now during an upgrade:

to /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and regenerate your images before rebooting
And am wondering what the message means by if /usr is on a separate partition - separate partition to what?  /boot? / ?
I have my /usr partition in the same partition as /  (but /boot is in a different partition)
Logic tells me I'm safe (haven't rebooted yet), as / is "master", and anything else is a separate partition, and I have /usr on the same partition as /.
Do you guys have separate /usr and/or /boot partitions?  As stated in first sentence this may not be related, but looks important...
It means separate from /. So yes, you're right, you are "safe" from having to do anything with this message on your system.
And to the other people on this thread: make sure you do have all your packages uniformly updated, including any pam-related AUR or ABS-build packages. libpam and the pam module directory (.../lib/security) were moved from /lib to /usr/lib a little while back, so make sure that anything that cares about where these may be have been updated so they aren't confused by this move.
