Trouble with featured news in URL

Hi there,
I don't know what the exact terms are, so i'll try my best to explain:
When you use Featured news, you have different triggers/newsitems in one page.
Now i want to link to the content of some of these triggers in another page. But when i preview in a browser and click on the different triggers the url stays the same.
It's very important for me (and i think for a lot of people) to have the content inside all the triggers easily found by users through the url.
So when i'm in page X and there are 3 newsitems (triggers) i'd like to link (for example) X-2 to another page in the site and land directly in X-2.
Is this possible??? Did i oversee something?
thanks in advance.
bart

Hi James, thanks for the reply.
Is there a menuwidget that lets you stay on the page instead of linking to new pages? (Anchors is not what i'm looking for...)
Hopefully there's a staffmember who has good news for me.
best regards, bart

  • I'm having big trouble with my new mainboard: Part II

    Hi
I haven't got any more replies to my post "I'm having big trouble with my new mainboard" by Krelian 2003.09.13 at 05:25. Please help! I've been struggling with this for a LONG time. And now my computer won't boot at all! Sometimes the LED's in front of the computer lights up for half a second, and nothing more happens. The only sign of life is the green light in the LAN jack. It happened after I took the ide cable for my harddrive in and out of the mainboard. This is insane, how can that suddeny happen :O ?! I was asked by wonkanoby to post max amps for my PSU, I did, and I really need to know if I maybe need a new PSU, since he asked that. Can a new PSU solve all the problems mentioned in my previous posts? Everything was fine except that I couldn't get into Windows, before i tried another harddrive on my computer. How can that complicate things so much? I have tried going barebone, and taking out the cmos battery and setting the jumpers JBAT1, J10 and J11. I have also tried every suggestion I got. Please help! I really need to get this fixed!

Some power supplies or designed so that if there is a short or overload they shut them selfs off and some will not turn back on. Some have a relay that will click back on and work, some you have to  cycle the power switch. Those that won't come back on will have to be replaced. I'm not saying that yours is that type as I have no way of telling. But if you have a friend who will loan you a good power supply you might try it. As someone else said just turning off the power will not darn all the power from some motherboards. To test this turn off your power supply than turn on the computer with the start botton. Mine will flash the lights and fans will start to spin than die. So every time you turn off computer to work on it. After turning off PSU hit the start botton to drian any power left in it before working on it. Also do this after unplugging it just to make sure.

  • Anyone having trouble with the new update for 2010 mac book air 10.8.2?

Anyone having trouble with the new update for 2010 mac book air 10.8.2 ? My 2010 Macbook Air has crashed 15times since the 10.8.2 update. Have only once since owning it.

Turned out the hardware was bad.  Apple exchanged it for a new Mac Air and the new trackpad works great.  Thank goodness it was a defect.  If the trackpads all worked like that I would have been bummed.

basic troubleshooting steps from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
Have ANY of these been tried?

This subject has been talked/written about a lot, after Lion was introduced. A solution from Apple has not yet been published, everybody is waiting.

  • I`m having trouble with my new advanced system the mac os X 10.0.3

    Hello everybody...
I need Help, I would appreciated anything anybody could do to help me...
I`m trying to install the new software the mac os X 10.0.3 and having trouble transfering all my files form the mac os 9.2.2 classic to my new system...Do i have to erase my hard drive to do a clean install???? Could I transfer my files to my home`s computer, instead of buying a portable smartdisk hard drive of 100 Gb, and then so i could transfer my fiels back to my mac without no trouble ????
I Hope anyone could answer to my post as soon as possible, Thanks

Hi, John. If you weren't having trouble with Mac OS 10.0.3, it would be a major surprise. OS X 10.0.x and 10.1.x were unusable beta versions and never should have been released, in the view of most people who ever tried to run them. It would be a severe trial of your patience and a waste of your time to install 10.0.3 on your Mac.
If you want to run OS X, buy OS X 10.2.x (Jaguar), 10.3.x (Panther) or the current version, 10.4 (Tiger). All are available at reasonable prices from AppleRescue. Tiger is also available from any Apple retailer. Carefully read the system requirements for whichever version you prefer, and be sure your computer meets them before buying. If your Powerbook only has a 10GB hard drive, install a larger one (at least 40GB is sensible, since the cost per gigabyte of smaller drives is now exorbitant compared with larger units) before bothering to install OS X.
It would be most advisable to copy everything on your current hard drive to an external FireWire hard drive, then reformat and erase the internal drive before installing OS X on it. Doing so insures that your data is all safe and that your internal drive is in tip-top condition when the new OS is installed. After performing the installation, you can copy the contents of the external drive back onto the internal drive. The external drive will then be available as backup space for the entire contents of the internal drive, including OS X, all your applications, and all your data.
While OS 9 is still installed on your hard drive, check to make sure your Powerbook's firmware is up to date. It will need to be brought up to date while running OS 9, before you install OS X 10.2 or higher. Here is the updater for your 500MHz Tibook:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75132
If the firmware has already been updated, running the updater again will tell you so and will do no harm.

  • Trouble with the new os7.1

OK, I upgrade my 9860 with the new os7.1 ,but it doesn't seem to come with all the features, can some one help me
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Two of the most popular new features are Mobile Hotspot and Radio Tuner.  It would appear that not every version of OS 7.1 includes both so I'm going to guess the OP is referring to one of these.  It's dependant on which version you download.
    Cheers.

  • Troubles with the new headphones?

Anyone having problems with the new head phones? I got my classic 2 days ago, and the right speaker/headphone just all of a sudden fried. It gives the sound when you blow your speaker out due to too much bass. I have the volume limit at about 75% and Im not using the EQ to achieve more bass. I guess my real question is, is this covered by the warranty? I dont mean to complain but those things are 30 bucks.

If you are referring to the included earbuds, take everything back to the store so that they can test the ipod as well. They should be under warranty.

  • Trouble with a new format

    OK heres the skinny.
I have several sytems and I am having trouble with one in particular. I was running this KT4V with a barton 2500+ and 1 gig of 2100 DDR. I couldnt put 1 gig of 3200 DDR in because of board limitations. I also has a 170o+ "b" chip that I had order a while back and was using on an outdated MSI boad and was getting mixed results at best.  So I decided to upgrade al my stuff.  I bought an Abit nfs-7 for th ebarton and a gig of 3200 and put the 1700+ in the KT4V. And thats where the trouble started.
It starts at the reformt. It takes literally 5 hrs. to reformat a 30 gig harddrive.  and it took about 1.5 hrs. to complete the windows install. At start up, (it will start up) but it takes about 15 minutes to get to desktop and the pc runs VERY sluggish.
I stried the quick format and it was quick but it is still very sluggish when in desktop.
The only thing different is the cpu.   When I was using the 2500+ this system was fast and stable for over a year. Any suggestions and what could be causing this thing to be soooooooooooooooodamn slow?
    The system is:
    t-bred 1700+ 'B'
    KT4V-L m/b
    1gig 2100 DDR RAM
    Maxtor 7200 30 gig HDD
    Sparkle 300 watt PS
    GF 5600 GPU
    HELP!

Reading that list of parts you are trying to use, I see one item that may cause major problems. The sparkle 300W PSU, it may not be able to handle the needs of the system with that FX5600.
As for the slowness, the IDE cable could cause this. Ensure the blue end is hooked to the board, and the hard drive is hooked to the black end, and not to the gray plug in the middle.

  • Does anyone have trouble with the new MBP unibody cover/lid falling shut?

My new MBP unibody lid will close inadvertently after a certain angle. The tension on my white Macbook was nice--I could angle the lid at ANY angle, from all the way open to almost closed, an d it would stay put. Not the MBP. As I lay in bed with this new laptop, if the sceen isn't angled far enough back it just swings shut, as if it is too heavy or the tension of the hinges isnt tight enough! Anyone else have this problem? I read somewhere that Steve Jobs "intended it to be this way." Huh.

    I have a 17" mid-07 MBP
I have the same problem. I'm currently sick in bed for the last 2 days and have been going crazy with this problem. I spent half the day looking online for some kind of clamp to keep the screen from being able to close. Basically every 3 minutes I have to push my screen back again. Every time I cough. My lid comes flying down. So annoying.

  • I am having much trouble with the new reminders in IOS7 and how it interacts with Outlook Exchange. Many features lost in the new version.

When I downloaded IOS7, I found that the reminders/task app and how it interacts with Outlook Exchange is much more difficult to use. Some of the issues that I am having are...
    1. Trying to edit my task on my phone is not possible, if the notes are lengthy. When you click on the text to edit data near the top, it will scroll to the bottom and not allow you to edit the text because you cant see it.
    2. Now all of my task are in one long list. I can not move from day to day like we could in previous version IOS6
    3. When I do edit a short task reminder and click done, it crashes and completly goes away. It does save the edit though
    4. You can only add task at the bottom of each days reminders. This is very inconvient and much more difficult than IOS6
    5. There is a major delay or latency when interacting inside of reminders in this version. Much more than IOS6. It is very unstable and quirky.
I have never seen Apple take a step back with a product until now. I am a huge Apple fan and always will be, so I am hoping they make enhancements to fix these issue. It is a big time prodcutivity killer.
Thanks for any and all help you can give.

  • Trouble with a new MacBook Pro - times 3 now..

    Hi all,
Trouble Trouble Trouble - my frustrations with Apple:
    1) MacBook Pro -bought 19th nov 2009- Death On Arrival, 4HDD/11/40000004:SATA(0,0)
Been sent back to Apple and I got a new one.
New MacBook Pro -got it on the 25th nov 2009- Started to have random Kernel Panic's 2nd of November:
    2) Kernel Panic's everywhere.. even on the Mac Bootdisc with Disk Utility.. as random as they appeared, so random they went away. Just to be sure on the Apple helpdesk they advised me to cleaned disk and reinstalled everything. Lucky I made a back-up when it was still working.... otherwise I'd have lost everything.
    3) Worked well for 2 or 3 days and now -6th dec 09- all the sudden it doesn't want to start anymore. Giving me 9 beeps at start-up on a black screen in the morse code s.o.s. 3x short, 3x long, 3x short)
    Apple?
I'm sure when I call Apple tomorrow I'll have to bring away my notebook to an Apple Service Provider cause they can't help me on the phone. If so, I will have to wait for another 20 days(experience in the past with my bro's MacBook for a new harddisk(!)).
I used to be a PC-guy and took the brave step to be a full-time Apple-guy, but this is just frustrating me. Sold my old laptop and now I'm without one for ages.
What would my options be? Could I get a complete new notebook?
    Niek

Giving me 9 beeps at start-up on a black screen in the morse code s.o.s. 3x short, 3x long, 3x short)
    Sounds like bad RAM:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2341?viewlocale=en_US
    Or bad power.
Have you attempted to change the power supply or power source? If it isn't plugged into a surge protector, you may have issues with your house power that create problems for multiple computers.
Also, be sure you aren't damaging the power cable unintentially*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/frayguide.html
This is a user to user board.
    Call Apple directly at:
    (31) 0900 7777 703
And let them know your repeated issues. They could give you a replacement machine, but also ask for a replacement power brick to at least test the theory the power brick may be damaged.

  • I'm having big trouble with my new mainboard.

    Please help!
I've bought myself a new mainboard, a MSI K7N2 Delta-L. I was having trouble getting Windows XP to detect my harddrive, but then I found out that I had to to first format my harddisk. But now I've got a new problem. I first tried a different harddrive on my computer, to see if something was wrong with my harddrive. But, there wasn't, since I tried my harddrive on another computer, and it worked. So, when I put my harddrive back into my computer, I can't enter BIOS. The screen either turns white, or some colors appear, and nothing happens. If I start without trying to enter BIOS, the same thing happens after detecting IDE devices (which takes an unusally long amount of time). When the white screen is up, my CD-rom tries to start my Windows XP cd several times, but, nothing happens. How can I get my computer to start normally, so that I can reinstall Windows and live happily ever after.
    -Krelian
    MSI K7N2 Delta-L
    TwinMOS PC3200 DDR-DIMM 512MB m/Winbond
    AMD Athlon 1.2 GHz
    Western Digital Caviar 120 GB
    Plextor CD-RW 48x/24x/48x IDE
    Sony DVD Player
    Sapphire Radeon 9500 PRO
    Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Player
    Chieftech Dragon Miditower

I pulled the jumper out of my harddisk, and it detected IDE devices extremely fast, as it should. But, I still can't enter BIOS. After detecting IDE devices, the screen turns white, but not for long, I could hear the harddrive booting, and the Windows XP boot screen appeared for about half a second. Then the computer restarted, and the same happened again.

  • Troubles with a new ThinkPad W 520 - defective at receipt 3 weeks ago

The computer ( art. 42823JG, SN xxxxx)  was defective when we recieved it ... ("freeze" at first utilisation)
We downloaded a lot of tests, awaited a technicien visit, awaited 2 more days for a carrier to bring the laptop to the service center and a full week without any news.
Now the support inform us that the mother-board is out of order and that there is no available spare part. They also said "it is written on the warranty  that, in case of no disponibility of spare parts, no repare time can be assured"
Nice to ear, speaking of a a brand new professionnel computer !
Did anybody already have the same kind of troubles ?
What kind of solution can we ask for  (our son is in university and cannot work properly for his exams) ?
Thanks for attention (and sorry for bad english)...

I had similar problems with getting a replacement mobo. First I sent it to Lenovo. Then they replied that mobo was out of stock. I called and told them I need the computer for an out of town trip. The escalation department found a mobo and ordered an on site service. They sent the W520 back to me, and they sent the mobo to the service tech. He came to my house and took the computer apart. The we noticed the wrong mobo was sent. The tech put the computer back together. The correct mobo arrived and the tech put it in.
Lenovo has done so much for me. But my computer is still not working correctly. The original problem is that the color on any external monitor is not correct. There is a bluish greenish tint which cannot be adjusted to match the laptop monitor. The next step was doing a re-image which did not correct the problem either. I am now reinstalling and upgrading the drivers and updates.
I bought this computer in June and Lenovo even sent me a new one due to a problem with the sale price. Instead of giving me the discount on the one that I had ordered, Lenovo sent a second on at the correct price. I sent the first one back as per Lenovo and go the full amount credited to my Master Card.
The first computer also had a problem with the color tint but I did not worry about it since I was sending it back any way.
I feel Lenovo and the support personnel have gone overboard trying to fix the problem If I only used the laptop without any external monitor I would not notice the color problem. But when you have two external monitors and they do not look the same way as the internal display it is very aggravating.
I am going to call tech support tomorrow and see what options are available.
Has anyone else had a problem like this, where the external monitor has a greenish or bluish tint?
    Best regards
    Danny

  • Does anyone else have trouble with the new remote?

Is anyone else having any issues with the remote for the new MacBook Pro's? I can hit menu on the remote, then go to iphoto, it will let me go down, then simply quits. I just bought it in July so this is rather frustrating. If now one else is having trouble is there anything I can do? or should I just go back to the store to have them look at it?

Probably take it back to the store--if it's defective, you'll get a new one right away, and you can make sure it works while you're in the store.
Maybe I should take mine out of the package and check it out.
    Good luck!
