Trouble with graphics drive

I have bootcamp with Windows XP SP3 installed, but when I try to run a specific application, a message appears, saying that I may have a problem with the graphics memory, or an old graphics drive version. I have the NVIDIA drives, and I am sure I have the lastest version of the drives, and I have enough memory. I actually don't know what the problem might be, but I thougt of a solution, which was changing the drivers. Does the OS X installation disks contain any other graphics drivers other than NVIDIA that I can try installing? Is there any other solution you have?
thankyou

test it with another computer to verify if the sd card is just not corrupt

  • Trouble with graphics driver

The driver in question is the Intel(R) HD Graphics family one (according to the Device Manager)
So what's been happening is I've been playing a Java based browser game. Occasionally the display will flicker with the message "Display driver stopped working and has recovered." Other times, instead of a simple flicker, the whole thing will stop working and the page must be restarted.
I tried searching the internet and trying out solutions with the game itself (it has 2 different display settings, OpenGL and DirectX. The problem appears on both). I was told it was almost certainly a problem with the driver.
I searched around the Intel website and according to some stuff I found, I have to find out what's going on with the computer itself as the drivers get altered by the manufacturers.
    Here's some technical info:
    Lenovo Thinkpad t440s
    Windows 8.1
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200U CPU @ 1.600GHz 2.30GHz
    6GB RAM (5.69 Usable)
    64-bit OS
A note: It only occurs on that one game, though I only really use low-intensity Java applications, so there may be other situations it could occur.
If anyone can offer any solutions, I'd appreciate it. It gets annoying.

  • Troubles with graphic card driver at Equium A60

    Hello everybody,
At first sorry for my bad English.
I have some trouble with the driver of my graphic card. After a new installation I just wanted to install the driver of the ATI Radeon 7000 (I have an Equium A60), after this I had to ascertain that my pc was out of order. The trouble was because the driver, I'm sure, because after a new installation, without the VGA-drive, my notebook is working, somehow.... I mean, I'm sure it could work better if the graphic would have an own driver.
I have been searching on the web and I did see that this was not a new problem; many people have the same trouble with it. Somehow, the pc's own driver is not compatible.
Could anyone help me to find a solution for my problem?
    Thanks a lot,
    Eurytheus

Sorry my friend but your posting sounds really unbelievable. Original Toshiba driver is not compatible with the hardware. It can not be. It can not be the truth!
Your notebook model is almost 4 years old and I presume Toshiba have had enough time to react if display driver is somehow problematic. I recommend you to back up all your data and try to install your notebook using original recovery image. If there is no hardware problem notebook should work well again.
Sorry but I do not see any other solution there because the driver is definitely tested and it must work well.

  • Satellite A200-25Z: trouble with display driver

    Hi,
I'm trying to install WIN XP on a A200 25Z. At first all seemed to work fine but now I constantly get a bluescreen before xp loaded completeley saying something like memory problem on ati2mtag.dll driver
Sometimes, it does start but then when I have to restart next time it won't start up again...
I've reinstalled xp now several times, updatet the bios to the xp version but still the problem stays the same.
Anyone else had a similar experience like that?
    Best

    > The problem is now, at first it seemed to work. But about two weeks later after I installed a game the next restart came up with a blue screen. The game itself didn't have any problems. Just the next restart. And since then whatever I try doesnt really help it.
It looks like the error with you graphic driver appears only after the installation of the game. For me it sounds like a compatibility issue with graphic driver and the installed game.
I have noticed that some other notebook series use the same graphic card Mobility Radeon X2600.
So try to use the ATI graphic driver from Toshiba European driver page:

  • Trouble With graphics Card

Well i have some kind of problem with my t500 its 208959u.  I did not get the computer my uncle did.  I checked the specs and 208959u come with only one graphics card but if its customized i think can come with a switchable card.  When i do a system tests it registers 2 grapics cards.  One is a itel 4500 mhd the other one just says its intel 4 series express.
I can't do anything with the other card it doe not even have driver bios.  I'm hoping this is some kind of graphic driver labeled wrong.  If so how can I find out what the 2nd card really is, so i can use it.  Im hoping its some kind of radeon cause i really one play my games.
My question is how do i find out what cards i really have or how do I make my graphics cards switchable.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

your laptop only has one graphics card, it is the intel 4500 MHD.
The switchable model has the Intel 4500 MHD and the ATI GPU.

  • Does mountain lion comes with graphic, Does mountain lion comes with graphi, Does mountain lion comes with graphic driver updates?  I'm currently using snow leopard, and it seems that there's no graphic driver updates for a really long time.

    Need some advice

I'm currently using snow leopard, and it seems that there's no graphic driver updates for a really long time.
Snow Leopard is no longer being updated, 10.6.8, was the last update. So, a "really long time," will be forever.
Yes, ML has graphic driver updates, but since there is no way to guess whether it impacts your unmentioned hardware, there is no way your question can be answered.

  • Trouble with audio driver HPG60-243CL

    Hello.
A few days ago, I needed to format my notebook (model G60-243CL) and I did everything just like I'm used to do. I reinstaled Windows 7 and after instaling the drivers downloaded from HP drivers page, I had to restart the computer. That's when my troubles began.
Sometimes, when starting up, everything goes on properly until the Windows loading screen, when my computer suddenly restarts again. It doesn't happen everytime and it seems a bit random to me. However, I noticed that when it finally turns on after restarting several times, the audio is a bit odd in every application that involves audio like musics players, videos and games.
On the rare occasions where my notebook manages to start up properly, the audio stays normal.
I already tried formating again, reinstaling the audio drivers and codecs, but nothing seems to work. Does anybody have any suggestions?

There is no simple way to record sound in Java, AFAIU.
Uncle_Sam wrote: ...on some mixer and then play it back. ...
Now my problem is that when the headphones are not connected, any audio being played out through the sound card can be recorded through mixers 4 and 6 above. This includes sounds created by the operating system, any audio files being played out etc. However, when I connect my headphones, the audio at the microphones can be recorded through mixers 4 and 5 above but any audio produced by the computer (again, sounds produced by the OS, audio files being played out etc.) cannot be recorded at any mixer. I tried mixer 6 above without success.
Is it not possible to record computer audio when a microphone is connected? If it is, how?
Significant question. Are you interested in getting this code to work for the machine you sit in front of, or is this for 'the general end user'?
I have no general solution for the latter, but for a single machine, installing an 'audio loop-back' (either software or hardware) might be the answer. That is the most intelligent thing I can offer that might help get around this problem.

  • Help I itunes will not recognize my iphone or ipod. Trouble with USB driver, device not running in safe mode, and HDCP not supported.

Help! When I connect my iphone or ipod touch to my computer, windows recognizes my device but itunes will not. I can still see my songs, videos, and access the itunes store but my phone and itunes store have no connection so it does me no good. I have for 2 days now tried every trouble shooting method posted with no luck. I think I may have finally found a lead. My Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is showing up under portable mobile devices while it is supposed to be showing up under universal serial Bus controllers from my understanding? Also, while running my diagnostic report under itunes it also says itunes is not running in safe mode, it is not showing enabled in windows firewall (which it is checked), and the HDCP is not supported. I don't know what to do? I am in tears here, someone please help!!!

  • K9A2 CF-F troubles with graphics card

My specs are in my signature.  This is a new build.  Everything went without a hitch until I tried to install my video card.
I'm getting the following error in the Device Manager: Code 10 "device cannot start"
When I boot up the computer tried to load CCC and then displays an error message like "Ati device no present or drivers are not working properly..."
This is what I've done so far:
    1) Tried a different video card -> same error
    2) Uninstalled and re-installed video card drivers (and different versions) -> same error
    3) Tested PSU with a voltmeter -> same error
    4) Set motherboard to "failsafe" and rebooted -> same error  >:(
    5) Tried it with 1.3 bios and 1.5 bios -> same error
    6) Tried video card in second PCI-e slot -> same error
    7) Tried it with drivers on the install disk and with updated drivers via MSI Update -> take a guess
Here's the kicker: this is my second board.
I RMA'd the last one because of this issue.  NOW, I'm thinking "user error".  I'll gladly eat crow if I could just get my video card to work.
    Help please.

Either you have something creating a short, or there is something else preventing detection of the ATI card, like not seated properly. You do have motherboard drivers installed, I suppose.
How about something from the old school? Put the initial ATI installation CD in. Enter Device Manager, choose to update the driver for the graphics card, and point it to the CD.
Thanks for the feedback but I tried that already.  The driver clearly installs but the error comes up after I try to start CCC.  Also, the display property tags are not present (via 'right click' Properties from desktop) Thing is I get the same error with the 8800GTS (Code 10 device cannot start).  I'm hoping it's a simple OS error that will clear up when I reinstall tonight.
    I'll let you know.

  • Problems with Graphics Driver?

I believe my graphics card driver keeps on crashing and it gets quite annoying because it exits all running programs. Many times the picture on the screen will freeze and turn the grey-blue seen at login and then my wall paper will appear along with a blank menu bar which then becomes populated sort of like it is starting up for the first time.
Going to crash reporter in the library, I keep on seeing this:
/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/C oreGraphics.framework/Versions/A/Resources/WindowServer under path and under the header, I see lots of
    0 com.apple.GeForceGLDriver 0x0000000200012910 gldAttachDrawable + 2528
    1 com.apple.GeForceGLDriver 0x00000002000d5787 gldUpdateDispatch + 14359
    2 com.apple.GeForceGLDriver 0x00000002000d5a56 gldUpdateDispatch + 15078
Is there any way to reinstall the graphics drivers? I don't really want to have to do an entire OS reinstall

I've had this problem: flickering screen then  freezing up, I noticed this especially (but not exclusively) when Safari was running and the laptop got a bit hot. This is how I ended up diagnosing my problem:
    1) I got the Safari plugin "ClickToFlas" from http://hoyois.github.com/safariextensions/clicktoplugin/ to help identify if this was a flash-related issue. Blocking flash did help reduce the flickerings & subsequent freezes, but not completely.
    2) I went into the Energy Saving panel in System Preferences, and changed the setting from "Better Performance" to "Better Battery life" and this COMPLETELY STOPPED THE FLICKERING & FREEZES.
Upon arrival at the AppleStore for my appointment, the guy explained that in my early 2009 17"MBP there are 2 graphics cards, and that changing that setting forces the laptop to use only the lower-spec graphics card rather than both (or was it just the higher-spec one? I can't remember). This meant that the higher-spec one is faulty. Sadly, they did NOT offer a logic board replacement. I was told it would cost 350 GBP (£) which is about 500 dollars! Plus labour I would imagine so I declined as I'm not doing anything that graphics-intensive.
Note to you all: please check your "About this Mac" - More Info - System Report - Graphics/Displays to see if there are TWO graphics cards installed. Just the overview will show you the higher-spec one. Or open the System Information app in your Utilitie Folder and look for the same. My experiences may help you deterimine what's wrong with your graphics card(s)!
Good luck to you all :-)
