I got trouble with my home button.....next is with slide to unlock function...ad one more problem is with it's wifi droping

What exactly is the trouble with the Home button and Slide to Unlock? If they are not responding, they might need replacement.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that I could recommend when experiencing Home button issues. The article below is labeled for the iPhone, but the steps are the same for your iPad.
The Home button is slow to respond
If the Home button is slow to respond when exiting one application, try another application.
If the issue exists only in certain applications, try removing and reinstalling those applications. Get further assistance in installing and troubleshooting applications.
If the issue continues, Try turning iPhone off and then on again. If the iPhone will not restart, try resetting it.
If the issue is still happening, try to restore the iPhone.
Seek service is the issue is still occurring.
The Home button isn't working
Put the iPhone to sleep.
Wait a couple of seconds.
Press the Home button.
iPhone should wake up.
If iPhone does not wake up, then iPhone should be serviced.
If the issue persists after all the steps have been processed see the last section labeled issue not resolved.

By the way, alcohol based hand sanitisers work too.
Don't overapply it in one go though. You'll have to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
One final tip, after its dried, I'd recommend you to leave your iPhone's home button facing a laptop's vent just to bake it a little drier.

If the new phone has already been setup, make sure the phone and iTunes are both set to the same account.
You might also have to authorize this computer for the new device under the store menu.

If it happens again then try to reload the website or clear the cache and the cookies from that website.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.

Having Troubles with Fireworks buttons in Dreamweaer

Hi Everyone
I am having troubles with my buttons in Dreamweaver, I created the buttons in Fireworks, when I preview the buttons in a browser in Dreamweaver, they show a "no image" sign when you click on them. I am not sure if its a problem with my states or maybe if its a script. Please HELP!

Having trouble with home page buttons

I created a project that has more than 20 states so to accomodate this I used the functionality to create a custom component with sub states. However, I seem to be having a problem with the buttons on my home page (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, etc). They work fine the first time visiting the home page and link to the first state within each custom component as I'd like them to and as I've assigned in the button properties. However, once a user clicks through all the states within a component and returns to the home page, if they click the button for that chapter again, they are directed to the last state within the component. What am I doing wrong? I have these home screen buttons configured to link to the page that represents the starting point for each chapter. If I try changing the button to configure to automatically transition to the custom component state 1 instead of a page then it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Haven't been able to call due to health issues. Hope to be able to call soon, but tried to move WiFi as much as I can. Upgraded to Quantum, so the WiFi router is connected via ethernet to the main box (if I remember correctly). Then the Gateway device is connected to the router via ethernet cable. Can I just remove that cable or do I have to set it up to be wired? I really can't move the two routers out of our bedroom. Thanks and I will hopefully be able to call within the next couple of days.

IPhone4 will not turn on. Tried reboot with home button and power button, and tried with sim out. Left on charge for an hour and nothing. Tried plugged into PC and nothing. Tried holding any and all buttons one at a time and plugging into PC and nothing.

This is for my wife's iPhone 4
She was on a call and went to end the call and the phone just turned off.
Left it on charge for an hour or so and nothing.
I tried the old reboot (home button and power button) and nothing
I tired with the sim out.
And with it plugged into a PC, opened iTunes and it didn't recognize that the phone was plugged in.
I tried my PC and nothing.
My phone charges and connects to both PC's
Tried holding the home button then plugging into PC
Tried holding the power button then into PC
I've now been trying different combinations for about 3 hours and now I'm all out of ideas.... :(
Please please can some help before Tuesday when I will have to find someone to repair it.

Sounds like faulty battery. Make Genius reservation and take to Apple for quick (minutes) free battery diagnostic testing. If you have Warranty or AppleCare the problem will be covered.

Problem with home button and "messages" app after upgrade to iOS 4.1

I have noticed two interesting problems with my iPhone 4. I am not sure if it is in conjunction with the upgrade to the iOS 4.1 software, but I did not notice the problem prior to this. Both of these problems are very odd and are hit or miss. I have tried restoring and the problem is still present. Also, since both problems have presented at the same time, that is why I am starting to believe it is not hardware...
Problem 1: The home button has become considerably unresponsive. This is not all the time, but it does happen a lot. Sometimes it won't work for about 5-8 clicks and I have to use the power button to access the phone.
Problem 2: When composing a new text message the cursor would always default into the "To:" section of the app which allows you to easily type what contact you are trying to message. However, I am having the issue now occasionally when I am in the messages app and select to compose a new text message that the cursor now defaults into the chat box (where you type your actual message). This is very annoying and I know that this is not the intended behavior of this.
Please let me know if anyone has experienced similar issues and can provide me with some feedback.

You restored from your iPhone's backup, or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup?
If whatever software problem is causing this is included with your iPhone's backup, restoring from the backup will also restore the problem.
Try restoring as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup to see if this makes any difference. If not, more than likely your iPhone has a hardware problem.

hi, i am an iphone4 user from the United Arab Emirates. I got my phone as a gift last September and it was not bundled with any carriers and was a factory unlocked piece. Within one month of usage the home button started misfunctioning. It started registering double clicks as single, triple clicks, etc. (the usual complaint of many countless users of iphone from the time of the release.) I then kind of ignored this problem and continued using the phone.
With this problem still continuing, comes another one.
My friend gave me a call yesterday, and we were talking happily for a minute or so and suddenly without any reason my friend failed to hear me. Five minutes was spent trying to make myself heard to him. I tried and i tried and the only solution i could find was tapping the phone gently,but firmly. Then he was able to hear me but then after sometime it was back to the same problem.
The only solution i found was to tap in th sides.(please note that this is also a common problem with many who have call problems but no voice memo problems.) I tried adding and registering my device to my account but when i try to put in my iphone's serial number,they say that the device number is invalid.
Now i want to get a solution to this, but since this was a gift piece i do not have any invoice of any sort. I even checked itunes.com/support and was happy to find i still have warranty till september.
I am confused as to what to do as I was dissappointed to find even a single apple store in the UAE and do not know what do we get in terms of support. Could someone please help me?

that is exactly the problem. I have no idea as in where this phone originates from. It was gifted to my Dad from a personnel who he was supplying for in the company. My dad then gifted it to me on my birthday. I asked my dad about the phone but he also does not know a thing. He also said that the other guy must have taken the invoice with him as he did not give anything to my dad.
I checked it in quite a few places (like SharafDG,eMax,Axiom etc., the local electronics suppliers) to track where this phone was originally purchased from( because these people usually take down the IMEI's of the electronic devices they sell), but they all could not help me.
Now i have no idea what to do and i do not want to spend huge amounts of cash for this matter as i am already in the warranty period. Anyways,thanks for your help in advance, but it would be helpful if you could try to get this solved for me.

Same here. iPhone, Mac Mini and Apple TV3 are all up to date. Logged in and out on each device and home sharing and airplay still don't work at all. Nothing shows up in the remote app. They're all on the same network and have been. The only thing I can think of is the most recent ATV firmware update, but why would my phone be unable to see my computer??

No, but you can use any picture editing tool to crop out the bars. (Many are free in the App Store.) Me personally, I use PhotoPad, which I use to crop as well as rotate the screen shot. Takes less than a minute to do both with PhotoPad.

IPod stuck in recovery mode with home button not working

Hi, I was restoring my iPod and everything went fine until it was restarting with the apple logo and loading symbol. My iPod's home button hasn't been working in a while so I use assistive touch. Now the iPod is stuck in recovery mode and I can't press the home button, I don't know what to do. Pls help!

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Turning on an ipod 4th G with home button

I have a question. The sleep/lock button on my ipod touch is stuck, and I want to know if I turn off my Ipod will I be able to turn it back on with the home button or another way. I currently use the assistive touch feature to lock the screen. I want to turn off the Ipod to see if that will help speed it up a bit, and because I haven' done it in a while. I don't want to turn it off and not have a way to turn it back on since the lock/sleep button is stuck down.
