Trouble with icloud pictures on my mac

I have pictures that I tranfered from my iphone to my mac before I started using icloud and photostream. Now that I have used icloud for the past few months all of my pictures taken with my phone is directly transeferred to my mac in iPhoto. I want to put the old pictures that was never in icloud in icloud so that I have all my pictures on one place. I select the pictures and choose to add them to icloud, but there is something wrong. Pictures from march, may and june 2013 just disappear from icloud. i know there is a limit of 1000 pictures per hour, but there is only about 500-600 pictures. I am very confused and I hope some of you understand what I am talking about.

To avoid the time and size limits in My Photo Stream I suggest you create a Shared Photo Stream from your Mac with the photos.

  • Trouble with iCloud

    Trouble with iCloud:
    Equipment:   Mac mini,  OSX 10.7.4
                        iPod iOS 5.1.1
I have done and then repeatedly reread the iCloud instructions on each.
I have up to date copies of Pages running on both devices.
The Pages documents appear on both devices when I look at the iCloud display. There appears no way to download these documents on the Mac mini.    I have tried to upload current documents written on Mac mini (including this one) with no success. There appears to be no ‘save to Cloud’ function.   In addition, there appears to be no way to give a document made on the iPod its own name.  I have  Blank,  Blank 1,  Blank 2 etc.
The other iPod application that is using iCloud is DraftPad
I have no way to determine if Calendar  information is going through iCloud or if it is going back and forth by way of the normal synchronization process.    On the iCloud display I have checked Calendars and Documents & Data on both devices.   There is no    active usage storage indicator bar at the bottom of the display.    When I look at  Management storage I have Pages 2 MB, Mail 1.4 KB, DraftPad 1.4KB   and Backups 0KB.  (I am keeping Time Machine backups on separate external hard drive).
As it stands iCloud is useless and not generating much confidence with me.  I think I would be much happier to make other arrangements.  I’m considering an attempt to cancel my use of iCloud.

On the Mini go to icloud.com, sign in.
    - To upload to an iOS iWorks app click on iWorks and then oh the app you want. Then click on the gear icon in the upper rihgt.. You have option to upload. To download, clcikonthe docuyment you want to download and a download button will appear.
    - To check the Clalender and otheriClud serves, just click in them after signing in to icloud.com.

  • Is anyone having trouble with iCloud email?

I am using iCloud for all of my mail.  I use it on iCloud.com and also with iMail.  I use it for my iPhone, iMac and MacBook Pro.  For the past three days I have been having a terrible time receiving email from my personal friends.  I can get email from commercial entities like DirectTV, Facebook, ASPCA, etc. but nothing when my friends try to email me.  I have spent several hours on the phone with Apple advanced tech support but it's still not working and I am supposed to call them back today.  After changing many settings, the tech told me it might be a corrupt email address and we would completely remove my email address from my computer and type it in fresh which we did.  I then was able to send myself a test email and I did receive that.  I am still able to send and receive to myself.  I then went to my neighbor and did the same thing on his computer with my email address, removed it completely and then put it in anew.  Then I sent myself an email from his computer but it didn't work.  I haven't received the email.  I have asked several people to email me today.  I did not receive any of their emails but am still receiving emails from other entities.  A friend of mine said they are having trouble with iCloud but when I asked the tech, he said he wasn't aware of it.  So, I have no idea if it's something on my computer or if there is a problem with iCloud.  Can anyone help me out?  It's so discouraging.  Thanks much.
By the way, this problem exists on all my products -- iPhone, MacBook Pro as well as my iMac

I'm having the same problem, except I'm not receiving ANY email (not even from businesses etc).  This has been going on for a week now.  I had not upgraded my OS, so that cannot be the cause.  It was just suddenly not receiving emails.  I can send, but cannot receive.  I can log in to icloud.com but when I select MAIL, it will not load, and says application not availble.  Today, I opened Mail Preferences and added a email account using my same email address ([email protected]) and it worked fine, gathered all my missing emails.  But it was using the name iCloud instead of my name, and created a new mailbox for all the mail.  I want to use my mailbox I've used for years...so I deleted it.  It was just a test, but don't really know what was accomplished because my original email still does not receive mail.
Last week I had sent a msg to Apple Support about the problem, and got a reply...so I think they know there is a problem.  Perhaps they just don't know what the solution is so will not acknowledge the issue yet.
I'm still waiting for a solution, too.  Extremely inconvenient, most of us rely heavily on email.

  • Hi Guys, I have a problem with Importing Pictures onto my Mac mini with Lion installed by using a Card Reader, What is the problem here so I can get Pictures onto my Computer. ,

    Hi Guys,
I have a problem with Importing Pictures onto my Mac mini with Lion installed by using a Card Reader,
What is the problem here so I can get Pictures onto my Computer. ,

    Hi Noob Søren
There are a few things that are confusing in your question.
As far as I know, you dont have to install Time Machine on this OS as it is already installed for you. You only need to connect a hard drive to your computer via firewire or usb, click on the Time Machine icon, Open Time Machine Preference in the drop down menu and select a disk: your connected hard drive.
You can of course reformat this connected device, partition it into a few volumes to organise data if you so wish.
I find it strange that your mac's hard drive is divided into two volumes... perhaps this was created through bootcamp?
You can access the configuration of your hd through Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities.
Clicking on one of the icons on the right hand panel will bring the details of the contents of your hardDrive and volumes. From there you can decide to erase a partition, reformat etc....
If your hd contains more than one volume, and one of them is empty, you could decide to remove it. Back up all your important data before doing so.
    Hope this helps

Having trouble with iCloud Photo Stream on a Windows Vista 64 machine.  Can you tell me why Photo Stream will not stay enabled.  When I reboot, it will disable not to mention that it will not get any pushed photos.  Is there a 64 bit version?

    Hello tw_mama,
I was looking into the issue you are experiencing and found an article that may shed some light on the subject. It's called iCloud: Account troubleshooting found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3988
    This section in particluar:
I get an "Unsupported Apple ID" error when I try to sign in to iCloud from my iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Depending on how you created your Apple ID, you may not be able to create an iCloud account with your current Apple ID. If your Apple ID works in the iTunes Store, App Store, Game Center, FaceTime, or with other Apple Services, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. Also, if you created your Apple ID while you applied for a job at jobs.apple.com, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. If you cannot use your Apple ID with any Apple Services, it might not be compatible with iCloud. Contact iCloud Support for assistance.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • I have an iPhone and just goy I pad but no computer I'm trying to synch them together but having trouble with iCloud and I can't seem to subscribe for iTunes match from either devise

I have an iPhone and just goy I pad but no computer I'm trying to synch them together but having trouble with iCloud and I can't seem to subscribe for iTunes match from either devise

You first have to subscribe to iTunes Match through iTunes on your computer and have your music library in iTunes uploaded/matched before you can enable it on your iOS devices (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/).  Without a computer you won't be able to use iTunes Match.

Anyone having trouble with iCloud?  It first started on my iPhone5; it's not connecting to iCloud.  Tells me I need to reset my password, but won't let me reset my password

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

  • Troubles with iCloud/Appleid

I have recently changed email addresses, so I updated my appleid through iTunes. I am able to purchase things, so I know it is working, but I am having trouble getting iCloud to recognize it. I have read these forums looking for answers, but nothing seems to be working. I signed out of iCloud on my mac and iPhone, but when I try to sign in with my new id it tells me that the usename and/or password are incorrect. Any insight?
    Thanks!

    Hey Dorian O.,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are receiving notifications on your Mac to approve iCloud keychain. Have you tried using your iCloud security code or your SMS-capable device instead?:
Frequently asked questions about iCloud Keychain - Apple Support
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204085
How do I set up iCloud Keychain on a new device without another device to approve from?
If you can't access any of your other devices that are using iCloud Keychain, you can still set up iCloud Keychain on another device if you have these items:
    Your iCloud Security Code
The device that is using the SMS-capable phone number you provided when you first set up iCloud Keychain. A verification code is sent via SMS to this phone number. If you can't access this number, contact Apple Support, who can verify your identity, so that you can complete setup on your new device.
After you complete the setup, your iCloud Keychain will be pushed from the cloud to the new device.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Trouble with iCloud calendar in iCal after iOS 8 upgrade

After having upgraded my iPhone to iOS 8, I get the following recurring error message in iCal:
The server responded with an error.
Access to account “iCloud” is not permitted.
    The server responded:
    “403”
    to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.
The calendars are syncing despite the error message, but it is very frustrating having to click "OK" or "Try Again" every few seconds.
There are no issues in iOS or icloud.com.
I enabled iCloud Drive when upgrading.
Same error occurs with same iCloud account on two different Macs - one running Mavericks and one Yosemite.
I have tried removing my iCloud account on both Macs and using my husband's instead. His was upgraded without any issues and works just fine on the same two machines.
I have tried deleting all my calendars and removing all sharing thus only having one empty calendar, but the problem persists.
Now I have no more ideas.
    Please help!

Similar issue. iCal was working fine when i was running the beta version of Yosemite, since upgrading to the public release I can't use it due to this constant error.  I have deselected the calendar within iCloud settings but still get the error.
    Anyone help?

  • Problems with synchronizing iCal with iCloud accounts on my Mac Pro

I have problems with synchronizing iCal with iCloud calender accounts on my Mac Pro runnning OS 10.6.8
(error message "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" på handlingen CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.)
It works fine on iOS devices.

Due to lacking hardware driver compatibility i our graphic production environment we can't upgrade to Lion.
Does that mean that it after the closing of MobileMe is impossible to synchronize calenders to Mac's running OS 10.6.8 ??

  • Having problem with iCloud contact on my mac

I'm having problem with my iCloud contact on my mac. My iCloud contact doesn't appear on my Mac.
I already backup my iPhone contacts to my iCloud account today and I also already follow any instruction on iCloud Apple Support. But my problem still exist.
For the information, i'm using the 10.9 OSX and 7.0.2 IOS. I believe there's no problem with my browser. I already try with Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
    Thanks for your kindly attention.

It's very funny, guys. Right after I post this question, my iCloud contacts succesfully appear on my Mac. LOL.

  • HT4864 Need help with iCloud set up on Mac Mail Client

hi thanks for you help.  I had a long day of issues with my icloud configuration on my Mac Mail. Suddenly (with no changes on my part) there were issues with emails going out. I followed the protocols below.  Is there an issue with my AUTHENTICATION choice? I tried external tps but that didn't work, but Apple Token is what is working). I have the box checked for keep sent emails. I can't figure this out and it's so frustrating. I have a new Air Laptop.
IMAP information for the incoming mail server
    Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
    Port: 993
Username: The name part of your iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not ********)
    Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP information for the outgoing mail server
    Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
    Port: 587
    SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not ********)
    Password: Your iCloud password

Those look like the correct settings.  You might want to post this over in the OS X Lion forum to see if they have any suggestions.

  • Trouble with iTunes loading on my mac running OSX 10.9.2

Lately every time I go to load iTunes, I get a "not Responding" causing me to Force Quit. It seems crazy that this should be a recurring problem. I diligently update everytime something shows up as available. I am getting tired of seeing the "color wheel" spin and spin. Anyone out there with the same/similar problem. But better yet any solutions?
    Thanks for your help

Log out or restart the computer and try again. If there's no change, see below.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
