Trouble with inserting a page

Pages '09 v. 4.0.3
While trying to insert a page in a Pages (Page Layout) document, using the "Insert" toolbar, I can get a blank page to insert, but the other templates merely flash the "inserting page" progression bar very quickly, but no page is inserted. Any ideas?

Do you mean you are using Insert > Pages > blank or text?
If you look at the bottom of the page window you can read how many pages you have. That number doesn't change?
Do you have thumbnails showing? You should see if you got a new page there. If you have chosen a page you already have you will get a new exactly the same page and for your eyes it will appear as you didn't get a new page.

Did your wife tick the box on the Yahoo sign in page to remember her for two weeks?
It would be best two have two separate Firefox profile folders, one for each of you to prevent such problems. 
Then you also do not have problems with deleting or changing bookmarks.

Im having trouble with my home page alignment.

Im having trouble with my home page alignment. If you look at all the other pages within my site you will see how the alignment should be... trunderground.com. I have tried chaning master pages for my home page, and still nothing.... Please someone help.

Trouble with inserting pages in Adobe 9 Standard

"Insert Pages" function was not available when trying to insert pages: from file: is greyed out and the pdf's were created in Adobe 8 standard, did try the combine function using the merge function but the signatures were lost and it did state that it was better to do a portfolio but when doing the portfolio you are unable to select the display meaning how to look at the portfolio which is not good, because basically the insert pages function allows you to look at all pdf's together in a straight vertical line and the portfolio function you have to click one pdf at a time to really view the pdf even though they all show in the portfolio and they are displayed horizontal.
I would think that Adobe 9 standard is compatible with pdf's created in Adobe 8 standard there has to be a work around to insert pages and have the option to put them before or after the pdf's that are already there.
I am hoping someone can give some insight on this issue with Adobe 9 standard.

Trouble with using several page tag in pagedef and including jsff-page

I have the .jsff-page with table (refNMU.jsff with own pagedef), which used as ref-book on main page. On main page it simple include in dalog content:

 </af:popup>In main pages pagedef I include the pagedef of jsff-page:
 <page id="PD_refNMU" path="Refs.refNMUPageDef" Refresh="ifNeeded"/>and in jsff-page replace binds from
bindings.refNMUView.collectionModelto
bindings.PD_refNMU.refNMUView.collectionModelIt`s work fine.
But if I add two ref-book (in main pages pagedef insert two <page> tag before existing ("PD_refNMU") then table on refNMU.jsff page "no row yet" show (but "estimatedRowCount" method work fine).
If I move <page> tag on first position then its work fine again, but the other two jsff-page not working ("no row yet" in table or "QueryModel object not defined" in console)!

binding file references are supported for template bindings only and here you are allowed to have a single template only. So what you try is not supported. Please use a region for adding the page fragment (bounded taskflow) or copy the bindings into the main file

Trouble with removing last page of book

I'm having trouble, iPhoto is not deleting a unwanted page.
The book is 36 pages long, but is showing 37 pages. Page 36 is blank and 37 is showing the image I want on 36.
What ever I do, ( add the same image to pg 36 and delete pg 37) I still end up with blank 36 & photo on 37.
Any help is appreciated.

Rebuild the library as follows: launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the option to rebuild the database file. Make a temporary backup copy of your library beforehand just in case.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Trouble with inserting a string containing a single quote

Using php with Oracle
If I do the following two lines before sending my $Query string through the parse function
$name = "Dominick's";
$Query = "INSERT INTO customers (name) values ('$name')";
it gives me the following error:
Warning: Ora_Parse failed (ORA-00917: missing comma -- while processing OCI function OPARSE)
If I try and force the single quote to be surrounded by double quotes and therefore not be confused:
$name = "Dominick's";
Query = "INSERT INTO customers (name) values (\"$name\")";
Trying that yields the following error:
Warning: Ora_Parse failed (ORA-01741: illegal zero-length identifier -- while processing OCI function OPARSE)

ORA-01756: quoted string not properly terminatedFor Oracle, single quotes must be doubled, not escaped with backslash.
Of the solutions to insert the data, I'd prefer using bind variables
since no escaping or quote doubling is needed.

Trouble with ordered list & page breaks

I'm using Framemaker 10. I was using numbering and selected Numbered Next, but FM started numbering from 1, although there were previous numbers up to 4. This has never happened before. Also in the same document, FM is sometimes forcing a page break whenever I mark text as a heading. Any ideas?

The numbering issue all depends upon how the numbering is defined in the paratag and if or which series is being used. Some paragraph before your NumberedNext is in the same series and is resetting the numbering back to 0.
Again, it all depends upon the settings in the specific heading parattag that you are using. It could be set to start at the top or it could also be set to keep with next and this is causing it to roll over on to the next page.

I having trouble with a scrolling page......where i have a video. the pages between the video and the previous page jumps and show a gap between the pages.....i'm not sure if it is the spped or what?

I keep getting a gap between scrolling pages of a video and a regular page. Not sure why. I keep adjusting the speed, but still I get a gap in the pages as it scrolls. Thanks.

Hello cor-el, I apologize for not letting you know if your suggestions about my question worked or not. I came down with pneumonia and then caught the flu on top of that. Today I tried what you had suggested about disabling the hardware acceleration and it didn't make any difference. You had also gave me a link to he article about plug-ins and when I clicked on the list of the current plug-ins I have the following is what came up:

When I then clicked to see if there were updates available, the only one that it said was updated was the Shockwave Flash. The Windows Media Plug In Dynamic Link Library, said the status was vulnerable and the other three said the status was unknown. Does any of this make sense to you and are there things that should be on the plug in list that aren't? I apologize for the length of my post but I wanted to give you as much information as possible. Trouble with buttons caling pages.

I have created a few buttons on several regions to call some pages via branches.
This is my current situation.
On my main page, lets say p_100. I have the following:
region_A
button conditional branch to page 122 (reset pagination: uchecked, On Submit: After Procesing(After validation....)
button item Request=Go
result: takes me to page 122 when clicked, AS EXPECTED.
button conditional branch to page 117 (reset pagination: unchecked, On Submit: After Processing(After validation....)
button item Request=Go
result: takes me to page 122 when clicked (WRONG PAGE)
region_B
button conditional branch to page 123 (reset pagination: uchecked, On Submit: After Procesing(After validation....)
button item Request=Go
result: takes me to page 122 when clicked
button conditional branch to page 118 (reset pagination: uchecked, On Submit: After Procesing(After validation....)
button item Request=Go
result: takes me to page 122 when clicked
I have verified I am indeed using the right buttons in each branch!!
Am I missing something?

Hi,
You need to change Request = Go to Request = somethingElse. It should be different for each button.
Then change your branches' conditionality to when button is pressed, and then tell it which button.
Every time you are clicking a button, it goes to the branch that matches with the "GO" request and has the highest sequence number.

Trouble with 'Thank you@ page

I'm new to web development and I am having a problem. I have created a comment form and am using PHP script for extraction. All the form info is going to the mail box and so the form and the script for it is working fine. However, I cannot get the Thank you page to appear.
This is the PHP script that I am using. It's working fine except for the thank you page (messagesent.html)

Trouble with updating child pages in dreamweaver cs4

Hello,
I have added some advertising links to my template page in Dreamweaver CS4 and it doesn't update my child pages for some reason. I have saved the template and synchronized the sitewide as normal but it isn't updating them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it has worked in the past.
Not if you made those changes to an editable region in the template it didn't. Changes made to a template page ONLY propagate to child pages if they have been made to non-editable regions. Changes to editable regions of a template page will ONLY appear in child pages created from the template after the changes have been made, and will not propagate to existing child pages.
so does that mean if I add content to editable region I will have to manually put it on each page
Yes it means exactly that.
Can I change the editable region to a non editable region
You can do that by removing the editable region from the template. Of course when you do that, all unique content appearing in those regions on your child pages will also be removed.
The moral to the story is to make sure that your template is designed properly (vis-a-vis editable regions) so that all of your needs are accommodated.
