Thanks.You may specify the module the user have to authenticate with adding in the url parameters module=LDAP for instance.
Another solution is to specify an authentication level in your authentication module like 0 for anonymous and 1 for LDAP or any other module you are using. Then in the login url, you add the parameter autlevel=1 (require to authenticate against a module for which the level is at least 1). -
Trouble with login password in Keychain Access
Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, my "Login Password" seems to have changed. Not my account password, thankfully, but the Keychain Access Login Password that enables me to access my Login Keychain. I certainly did not change it, but the password I used in 10.5.8 doesn't work anymore. This has actually happened on two different machines
I tried the 'First Aid' function in Keychain Access and got this error message:
Checked password for ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain
*Password for ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain is not the same as login password*, so keychain can't be unlocked automatically
Login password could not be synchronized with keychain ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain (-128)
Unable to read settings for ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain
Okay, so how can the Password for the Login Keychain be different from the, uh, Login Password?!?!
Is there any way to reset a Login Password, or do I just have to start a new one from scratch (really don't want to have to do that)?the password for any keychain can be set to anything you want. by default the password for you login keychain is set to be the same as you account password but that's done just for your convenience so that it can be unlocked automatically when you log in. those passwords are completely independent otherwise. changing one has no effect on the other. that said, unless you changed the account password or the keychain password yourself what you are seeing should not be happening.
did you change your account password? if not your keychain could be corrupt.
in Keychain Access is your login keychain locked? if it is select it and click on the lock above. if the keychain works ok it should ask you for the keychain password to unlock it. does it work? -
Trouble with Login Redirect [$_SESSION['PrevUrl']
I'm using the DW functionality to confirm that a user is logged in before allowing access to a page. Everything works except successfully redirecting to the previous URL. Here's the situation:
User accesses a page with a url such as "addtocookbook.php?recipeid=6".
Since the user is not logged in, they are redirected to"login.php".
After successfully logging in, the user is redirected to "addtocookbook.php" without the "recipe=6".
My login page does attempt to direct the user to the previous url (if it exists). I'm not sure if there is a simple way to make the variable $_SESSION['PrevUrl'], used by DW to redirect, store the entire url.
Any help is appreciated.

ECC 6.0 - troubles with login password
Hi, we upgraded the system from 4.6 to ECC 6. and now some of our users have the problems with passwords (login).
We suspect that more users have the same password. Is it possible that in new verision users need to have different passwords?

so i had just refreshed my pc due to some issues with the start menu and they cleared so after i updated and rebooted i couldn't type so i tried to use the pop up touchscreen since my laptop has a touch screen and nothing happened so i tried to use the
on screen keyboard but the ease of access button does absolutely nothing and then begins to lag and then freeze and would like to know if there's a fix or a way to fix it?H,
Do you mean
that after the updates, you are completely locked out from your machine? Have
you tried power off the machine, then unplug the keyboard\mouse for moments,
reconnect again, check the result?

Trouble with login -not just a blue screen-
Ok, here's everything that happened.
I put my computer to sleep yesterday, everything had been working fine. When I woke it up, I got a kernal panic and had to restart. After restarting, it brought me to the Leopard 'blue screen'. I had already had this upon my initial installation and removed application enhancer -this was months ago-. So, I did my normal thing and booted into windows and tried restarting -this does work sometimes-, didn't work, still get the blue screen. So I booted into safe mode and backed up all my documents and whatnot, I restarted and it actually started successfully, though it was running really hot (173 degrees). So I shut it down for the night and went to bed. Today, I tried starting it again and got the blue screen, I can no longer boot into safe mode, nor can I boot from the Leopard DVD. Only the windows partition works. Any ideas?How about trying the things listed here:

I have see in the nwa if there are some applications or services that are stopped but all the necessary it's started, just one question : in the pdf for upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1 no one speaks about ejBean or about a creation of it ... it's necessary an ejBean ?? I am having trouble making outgoing call or answering incoming call.
When I try to call out from my IP 7961 phone, it fails with the message "unknown number".
For incoming call, it rings but when I pick up the call nothing happens,
Put the receiver back on hook, the phone carries on ringing. I am in UK
and just trying to set up test system with one analogue line. Any help will
be most appreciated. My config of the 2811 router is posted below. All calls ineternally works fine.

Please find enclosed debug attachment for voice ccapi and ephone. First, I called from outside. Extension 202 rings but when I answered on extension 202 nothing happens. Having trouble with my iMac- on startup, the background screen appears, but no icons. The spinning beach ball appears for quite a long while, then when the icons finally come up, when I open a finder window, the only icons to appear are the Network and Macintosh HD icons. I've tried to repair disk permissions: this came up with heaps of errors, which it then fixed, but the original problem remains.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in Mac OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Same problem(s) in safe mode?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2. -

I have had trouble with icloud since they've had it. Filled with bugs. I can login onto icloud via my imac but cannot via my iphone or ipad. It says "invalid password" ... Trouble with database connector for FAST for Sharepoint
I have plenty of experience with the JDBC connector for FAST ESP using Oracle, but this is the first experience I have with the same connector for FAST for Sharepoint (F4SP). I've created the XML config exactly to specs based on the technet guides
and configured my user accounts on the SQL Server appropriately. I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2.
If I try to use a Windows account, no level of access granted on the SQL Server results in a successful login. Any attempt to use the connector is met with "Login failed for user: domain\username". If I try a SQL Server account, I no longer
see a login failure, but this instead:

TCP/IP is certainly enabled for SQL Server -- I am connecting to it with Sharepoint 2010, not to mention a test install of Toad Freeware for SQL Server from another machine, resulting in no errors. My connection string, username and password are all
set up according to the technet guide, including the encrypted password set by the encryption utility run the in F4SP Powershell. The same user who runs the connector also ran the encryption tool, so that should not be a problem either.
I've never had this kind of trouble connecting to Oracle databases with the JDBC connector for FAST ESP. Any suggestions? These failures aren't exactly helpful to me. Thanks in advance.I found the solution to this problem in case anyone else was still curious.
This was caused not by JDBC settings, permissions/access on SQL Server, etc. It was caused simply by a missing SQL Server in F4SP configuration. When you run the F4SP config wizard, either as single-node or multi-node installations, the wizard
might end up ignoring the value you select for SQL Server, even if you are using a deployment XML file. When configuring as a multi-node setup, the wizard ignored both my deployment XML tag <connector-databaseconnectionstring> and the SQL Server
setting done manually in the wizard itself. Examing the evidence, I suspect this was caused by corrupt installation media (since the installer also failed to create some core files in /etc upon doing a reinstall).
The bottom line is that you must see a value for SQL Server in your install_info.txt file in order for the JDBC connector to work with SQL Server, like this:

Trouble with browser editing FTP upload
I have been updating a site to a sub-domain of my personal site while working for client. Yesterday when I tried to walk them through the in-browser editing feature I got an error that wouldn't let me login to edit the site. I followed all of the instructions in the error message (use the "upload via FTP" setting, sign in with the same user) but I still can't log in. Is this a bug with how Muse handles sub-domains, or what else am I doing wrong?

Updated with Yosemite and think that's when my problems started with my IMac being very slow. The color wheel keeps popping up and spinning not allowing me to move forward on typing or moving between websites etc. Extremely slow and never had this problem before Yosemite. Any real answers to this out there? I was on the phone with apple support for two and a half hours the other day and it's not made any difference in what the tech had me do to resolve this issue.
1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
The test works on OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later. I don't recommend running it on older versions of OS X. It will do no harm, but it won't do much good either.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of it have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message. See, for example, this discussion.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.

☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.

5. Try to test under conditions that reproduce the problem, as far as possible. For example, if the computer is sometimes, but not always, slow, run the test during a slowdown.
You may have started up in "safe" mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, a series of lines will appear in the Terminal window like this:

The test results are on the Clipboard.
Please close this window.
[Process completed]
The intervals between parts won't be exactly equal, but they give a rough indication of progress. The total number of parts may be different from what's shown here.
Wait for the final message "Process completed" to appear. If you don't see it within about ten minutes, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, press the key combination control-C or command-period to stop it and go to the next step. You'll have incomplete results, but still something.
12. When the test is complete, or if you stopped it because it was taking too long, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I may not agree with them.
