Trouble with Media Sou

Can someone help me out. I got the Nomad Zen 2.0 usb mp3 player. I downloaded the media source and was starting to load it up.
One problem. Its not reading the connected mp3 player. It isn't reading the dri've and its hooked up. Computer reads it. Software isnt. It says theres an A dri've C dri've D dri've. But not the usb dri've attached audio player dri've. i can't locate it anywhere. i am trying to transfer music to the player.
Can someone please help me. much appreciated. thx

Most likely you did not install the Nomad Pack for MediaSource. You can download this from the website. This will be what you needed NOMAD JukeBox Type 2 Version .0.03

Anyone else having trouble with media import in 10.2?

I am having trouble importing media from a camera SD drive. It lets me see the file, but is not importing. When I select import nothing happens.

David, I found a work around. I use a Canon XA10 and usually can just pull the SD card from it, plug in to my Macbook pro and download the file(s) I need. Not quite sure why it never downloaded last time. I opened the file I needed and saved it to the hard drive and accessed it just fine. Probably just a glitch, but wondered if this was an issue with the new 10.2. Will have to see if the problem continues to recur.

Having troubles with Media Encoder CS6

I am having the issue with Media Encoder where the it tries to connect to the dynamic link server for a long time and then ultimately fails with the message Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted. I have so far tried everything that I found online so far, that being uninstall and reinstall and creating the Premier shortcut in the Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\dynamiclink directory but nothing has worked. I am queuing the job from Premiere Pro CS6. I am not sure where to go from here and really need some help. This is on a Windows 7 machine. Thanks.

There are several different ways to add a Premiere sequence to AME, see if either of these alternative methods work for you:
Opt 1) Save your Premiere project, then drag your sequence from Premiere's Project panel and drop it into AME's Queue panel.
Opt 2) Quit Premiere but leave AME running. Drag your Premiere project file from the desktop (or wherever you've saved it) and drop it into AME's Queue panel. You should see an import dialog asking you to choose the sequence you want to import.

Trouble with media syncing

I need help with media sync everytime I do it the music transfers sucessfully but it double everything, then if I delete the double it will delete the original so am left with no music. Then when I look in my files there is only one music file so I am very puzzled. Can someone help me, I have tried everything that I have thought of.

This is how you sync music to the iPad.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on all of the albums or playlists that you want to sync - or the entire library if you like.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

Trouble with media player of nokia X2-01

Hey, i am using Nokia X2-01. When i open the media player, it says'file not supportive'. When i open the song, i can hear it, the media player is not shown. And i cant even watch videos in it. Plz help me out with the trouble.

I need to know if theres a way to record with a mic over tracks using MediaSOurce.. I know I can record using the mic alone but is there a way to have a track playing using the media player and record the vocals over it to where it all becomes one track. If so what recording source would I use.. Any help would be great

Go into the Creative mixer and select What-U-Hear as the recording source. Then un-mute mic and whatever else you want to mix (e.g., Wave).

Trouble With Media Skins

I made a media skin for QT from this tutorial

It works fine with QT on the mac but when I got to windows the skin does not show up. The media plays but no skin. Any ideas?

Again Trouble With Media File

Recently, when I opened a project, I got a msg saying that it couldn't find one of the media files called Untitled5 (which isn't the name of the scratch file anyway.) A section of my movie had disconnected media. When I reconnected, all the in and out points were screwed up, so I had to re-edit that portion. Now it happened again with the same media file, but again it's not searching for the file by it's name. It says Untitled5 cannot be found. What's happening?

How are you searching for the file? Right click on any column header in the browser and open "show path" you'll see what the media is connected to. In FCP 6 if you're running that, you can modify the media file name to match the name of the clip too from a command in the Modify? menu.

Random Problem with Media Sou

I recently installed the new and shinier media source player and after a slight hitch, it worked perfectly. Soon afterwards, i discovered a new option was added to the bottom of the menu that pops up when you right click on a playlist, prefix track no. to title. Not knowing what it did, I foolishly clicked on it thinking it could do no harm. It then added a highly annoying prefix to every single song in the playlist, which happened to contain a large portion of my music. To make matters worse, it now thinks that the files are different to those on my zen touch because of the prefix! I searched for an undo button but there doesnt seem to be one. Help! Is there a way of undoing this? My only other options are to clear my pc music library and copy the files off my zen touch onto it or change all the names by hand (about 300 of them) both of which would take hours.

Hey, the "Prefix Track Number To Title" feature is something new to me. I just realized it.
As mentioned by SSR, I believe you cannot undo what you have done. I have confirmed that the tag of the files are changed.
Here is one suggestion for you. Go to Tools->Settings->PC Music Library. Click the Restore button and choose to restore the file "PCML__Backup.dpm". This should restore an earlier backup of your PC Music Library. Hopefully, this backup is the one before you make the change to the title.
After that, view the tracks of the PC Music Library in MediaSource Organizer. Check whether the titles are the titles before the change. In the Source window, right click on the PC Music Library node and choose Update Tag. This will update the tag based on the PC Music Library information.

Trouble with Media Player

Ok my media player is really screwy. It's very slow. It takes FOREVER to load anything. And it keeps telling me that I have no room on my BlackBerry when I try to load a picture. I loaded one picture ONTO the BlackBerry from my PC but when I tried to load a second it told me I had no room.
The thing constantly freezes and I have to CTL ALT Delete it. It's rather frustrating.

You may be storing the files on phone memory and not the media card. Check to see how much system memory is available in options> memory. Also open the camera app and go to options and set it to store pictures taken on media card and not device memory. When you transfer files to the phone place them on the media card and not the device memory. A battery pull may help get back some memory.

every time i put a cd in my computer and click get info it says failed to receive information from music provider so im having to manually type all my albums is there something wrong or am i not doing something right.

It means that for some reason MediaSource cannot connect to Gracenote to get the CD data. Have you granted MediaSource permission to contact the Internet, assuming you're using a firewall?

Trouble with HP Media Smart Photos

My HP Media Smart Photos has suddenly stopped working. When I try to open my photos, it stays on for a few seconds and then closes. I am thinking that I need to re-install the Media Smart Photo software; however, I have to uninstall the old software before I can re-install. Won't I lose the photos that I have previously imported into Media Smart?
Second question: has anyone had this problem with Media Smart Photos closing after a few seconds?

Hi,
It does sound like the existing installation of MediaSmart Photo is corrupt, however the software only indexes images that are present on your hard drive, so uninstalling then reinstalling this product will not result in the loss of any pictures.
Note that when the reinstalling has completed, launch the software and let it re-index your media files - this can take a few minutes depending on the number of images.

I have been having a lot of trouble with the latest itunes update and my ipod classic 80Gb i.e. being unable to sync songs, but now i have no files at all on my ipod, it is completely blank when i view it from my computer. I need help, please, anybody.

As it says above, i have been having a lot f trouble with my ipod classic and the latest itunes update, i was unable to sync songs or anything to it and have tried every conceivable 'fix' i could find. i have run an itunes diagnostic and the results are posted below. a major problem is that when i try and view my ipod through my computer it displays nothing at all on the ipod, no files or anything, this may be the problem but i have no idea how it has happened or how i could resolve it.
This ipod holds huge sentimental value and i am loathe to buy a new one! If anybody can help it is greatly appreciated, than kyou in advanced.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

Searching on the web, most results I found lead to this page, where it is said that the problem is due to badly tuned overcurrent protection, and advocated that unplugging and switching off the computer for a little while gets things back into normal. This does not really work for me; the problem seems to occur more randomly, unfortunately with high probability (my camera is available after less than one boot out of ten).
I tried to ensure that the ehci-hcd module is loaded at boot with the ignore-oc option (with a file in /etc/module-load.d/), to no avail.
I also wrote a script which alternatively removes and reloads the ehci-pci driver until my device is found in lsusb. It is sometimes helpful, but usually not. And even when my device is found that way, it can only be used for a while before disappearing again.
Anyway, such a hack is unacceptable... So, my questions are:
is it indeed related to overcurrent protection ?
is there anything else I can try ?
should I file somewhere an other of the numerous bug reports about "unable to enumerate USB device" already existing ?
If of any importance, I am running linux 3.15.7, because at the time I installed my system, I couldn't get the hybrid graphic card Intel/AMD working under 3.16.

Tracks ripped with EAC Play alphabetically, when ripped with Media Player Play in the correct or

I just got my new zen touch. I downloaded the new firmware update and it seems to be working great.
The only problem is that when I add music that I've ripped with Exact Audio Copy c/ Lame Encoder to MP3, The tracks don't play in the correct order on my Zen Touch.
When I add an album ripped with Microsoft Media Player, it plays them in the correct order.
I think that the ID3 tags have all the appropriate info becuase when I hold my curser (on the computer) over the eac ripped tracks, the pop up menu list the track #, artist name and song title etc.
I've read the FAQ and it doesn't matter if I select Album-Play, Artist-Album-Play. I've tried all combos.
Anybody with experience using EAC? I've looked in the settings and I can't find anything wrong.
Is it possible that EAC is using and ID3 Format that my computer recognizes but my zen touch doesnt.
But Media Player uses an ID3 format that it does recognize.
Also, The album ripped with media player was ripped to WMA. While all the tracks ripped with EAC that are giving me trouble were ripped to MP3.

What software are you using to copy? Make sure both that and the drivers are completely up-to-date.
