Trouble with motion graphics

In a TV spot I'm working on I created a motion graphic of a logo that is slowly spinning in the corner. I created the graphic in Motion and imported the motion project file into my FCP timeline. On my external TV monitor and also in the Canvas at 100 percent, the graphic looks perfect. But when I export using Compressor (DVD: mpeg2, best quality setting) and burn it to a DVD with DVDSP, the graphic looks terrible.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Yes. Select Export QuickTime Movie... leave it at Current Settings.
Bring the resultant QuickTime movie into DVDSP and burn from there...

  • I'm working with Illustrator CS5 and am having trouble with basic graphics textures.

I'm working with Illustrator CS5 and am having trouble with basic graphics textures. The illustrator drawings look fine with the pattern fills and when I bring the drawing into quark 9.1 they are still fine. When I print the quark file to lo res pdf drawing is still fine, but when I print to hi res pdf (press quality for print) the patterns disappear. I cannot figure out what the problem is.
just a note. Other textures and artistic fills work fine. It seems to be just the basic ones. I'm wondering if for some reason they may not be saved completely in my libraries?

Its just a drawing in black and white with some basic graphic texture to show “dirt”  The pattern consists of a bunch of small lines. I save the file as an eps. And bring it into quark.  When I print from quark I say print to pdf as press quality. I don’t think the problem has to do with acrobat because I’ve never encountered these problems before CS5. These drawings have been around for years and all of a sudden they don’t work.
    Does this help?

  • Trouble with Motion Tween (Can't find answer)

        Hello,
I've been having trouble using a motion tween in an animation I'm creating. I have an object (a cartoon character's talking head) that I'm trying to move along a motion tween. At one point I want to make him stop moving for a beat, then continue. However, when I have two keyframes in the same place, the object will move up and down between the two keyframes that have the same position and rotation. When I click on the tween's path, I don't see anything that would make the object move (at least I don't think so, it's a small movement),
I looked around and couldn't find any fixes on the interwebs. However, it does seem similar to the "boomerang effect" of motion paths in AE. Especially since it appears to only happen when I make the motion paths into a curve.
    I'm using Flash CS4.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

i'm not arguing with you.  i'm just telling you how to prevent tweening between two frames.
if you want to do it your way, do it your way.  but, while it may seem obvious to you that there should be no tweening between two keyfames with identical content, it's not obvious to flash especially when you add a motion tween between those two identical keyframes.
that said, you should double check the two keyframes and make sure the object's properties are indentical (using the properties panel).

  • Trouble With Motion In FCP

I am cutting together a slide show using FCP v.5.1.3. When zooming and in particular when I pan across a photo the motion is stuttered.  I have tried down-sizing the resolution of the photos to no result.  I have also tried to make an isolated clip export to QT and still the motion is unsteady.  It seems to be random, some of the move/zooms are clean and steady, other seemingly identical photos are troubled.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    SC

I Recently created a photo montage of images, with pans and zooms...
    They look really great.
You might want to try this see if this helps. (duplicate your sequence) Because of your video, if you choose ProResLT, you'll have to render, but hopefully it won't be a big deal... Dont worry about the editing timebase. Leave the frame size as you have now, if it still stutters, change it to match this, you'll have 3 pixels of black at the top and bottom, but it's no big deal.
If it doesn't help, lets see if anyone else here chimes in.

  • [K7N2] Trouble with dual graphics cards

    I have a K7N2-DeltaL (Barton 2600+) which I have used for a while with a Radeon 9600 AGP@8x. To use multiple displays I installed a Radeon9200 PCI graphics card.
However, I am having trouble getting it to work. The new card works fine alone, both in this and another computer. It works ok together with another AGP-card (GeForce2) on a Abit K7T with Duron 800.
I have only gotten it to work for a few minutes once, long enough to install drivers etc. Ran it for a while but ended in a BSOD (endless-loop). Otherwise one of the following scenarios occur:
    1) with "Init AGP first" the computer boots but fails to initialize the PCI-video, works ok otherwise.
    2) with "Init PCI first" the computer fails to boot (stops in "Check RTC" according to D-bracket LEDs, or come to think about it, I think it actually only shows one red and no green, have to check that when I am back at it)
    3) with "Init PCI First" the computer POSTs but shuts down and can't be started without removing the power cord
If after 3) I remove the *AGP* card, it still won't boot until I remove the power cable. After this it works fine with just the PCI-card.
I am dual booting with XP Professional and WinME, but as it doesn't even get that far I am failing to see that this might matter.
I am thinking "PSU", but am amazed that it worked in the other computer with the older PSU and not in the new 300W (have not found any Amp-specs).
    Any advice?

I would have thought that the PCI card used the same power whether it is "init first" or not. Also I would have thought that a power problem would more probably be an unstable computer rather than an unbootable one.
Could a few more AMPs on the PCI-bus really make that much (consistent) difference?

  • Troubles with fonts, graphics in firefox

I just rebooted my machine. I was trying to test a manually written grub.cfg with grub2. I screwed this up. Initially, I managed to get to a rescue shell by editing the kernel command line. I'm not sure what the correct term is - not the grub2 shell or rescue shell, I don't think, but ramfs with a sort of mini filesystem. Anyway, I replaced my backup grub.cfg and then found I didn't know how to reboot. I tried "reboot" but that did nothing and I guess there are no manuals in this shell. In experimenting, I managed to cause a kernel panic. (I think I accidentally killed init.) So I did a cold reboot. Everything now went smoothly, the system restored from the ext4 journal for the root filesystem and everything seems fine.
I am having a couple of problems. One very minor one is that Kile no longer seems to recognise .dat files as tex or latex source. I am sure I can fix this. I just mention it in case it is important to something else.
The bigger problem is that I'm seeing a lot of graphics corruption in Firefox. I've seen some of this before but it is now much worse. Also, before, it seemed tied to particular areas of a particular virtual desktop and nothing affected it. But this is tied to Firefox specifically and it changes all the time. I've never seen the location and search bar go through so many colour changes. If I reload the wiki pages, I may get ordinary coloured text or it may be rainbow coloured. I'm also getting fuzzy areas. I'm seeing a bit of this in KDE menus, too, but it seems much worse in Firefox.
More weirdly, fonts in Firefox are screwed up.
I'm not sure what font the wiki uses for ordinary text. It seems to be the same as on the forums and in this text box. In any case, all occurrences of 's' are replaced by squiggles. I am assuming my 's's will appear correctly to those reading this but in case I've mistyped or something, I am referring to the first letter of words such as 'school', 'schlep' and 'slippery slivers of silver sardines swimming surprisingly slowly'. This makes reading the wiki rather difficult. (There are a lot of 's's in it!) I was trying to find out how to reboot cleanly from the ramfs in case I end up there again.
EDIT: In Firefox, the 's' in 'fonts' in the post title (once posted) is fine. So is the 's' in 'Forums' at the top of the page. Below this text box, the 'S' in 'Smilies' is fine but the 's' is not. The 's' in 'Options' is also OK but the option appears as 'Never ~how ~milie~ a~ icon~ for thi~ po~t'!
Suggestions for the font issue would be very gratefully received. I looked through the last updates I did (today) and didn't see anything obvious but I then realised I wasn't sure what quite to look for. Here are the log entries from today:

I am booting the standard kernel, not the lts, so the upgrade hasn't affected the kernel. I wasn't sure what libupnp did but judging by the package descriptions resulting from a pacman -Ss upnp, it doesn't seem likely to have anything to do with fonts but rather networking.
I checked ~/.xsession-errors in case Firefox was logging any errors there but I can't see anything relevant - all the errors seem to be KDE's usual prolific output.
Should I look further back? I probably didn't reboot after every previous system upgrade. Or did my messing with grub and causing a panic do some sort of damage which might be causing this? (I thought that was fairly unlikely but maybe I'm just being unduly optimistic.)
EDIT: When people post code, the 's's are OK but the 'a's and 'm's are squiggles instead.
I'm using the infinality freetype, fontconfig etc. Could that have anything to do with the problem? I didn't just install them or make any changes but might some other package have changed in a way that is incompatible with these? Or which requires some tweaking I'm not aware of?

Er... my 's's have magically returned? But I have no idea why. I didn't even restart Firefox. (I'd already tried that and it made no difference.)
Would really like to know why...
EDIT: I still don't have 'm's etc. in code listings, though.

A client sent me a few graphics which open perfectly in Photoshop (size) but when I import them into DVD SP 4 thhey are way too big and I cannot resize them smal enough. Have I done somthing wrong?b

  • Trouble with application graphics in Lion

    Hey all,
Since I've upgraded to Lion I've had some issues with graphics in everyday apps like iPhoto and Safari, along with some Adobe CS4 applications. When I open apps, such as Safari, the window will be... how can I explain this... darker? Like someone took the exposure slider on a photo editor and pushed it all the way down. The top of the window is a nasty dark gray, and all the content is screwed up as well. Not sure where exactly the problem is. I've used disk utility multiple times and I haven't found a permissions error or a disk error yet. Any help?
    Thanks.

  • Motion graphics

    Hi there,
I have a 1160 ( height in pixels ) and a 640 ( width in pixels ) texture of an asphalt road that I made. I need to have this appear as if the road is moving. Is there a way in photoshop with motion graphics to accomplish this? Is there a way to make 5 copies of the texture and have them play together in loop to appear continuous as if driving down the road?
Or is After Effects better suited?
    Thanks,
    Rchjr

what about making stuff grow. Picture: I'm panning right and i see about 5 to 6 layers of depth. While moving there are Flowers or plant that are popping out of the first 2 layers, that appear to be growing. not in 3d in 2d but appearing to be growing. Another thing is dripping. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syf8olcM0z4 something like when the gun shot goes off, how do you achieve paint drip.

i would be very thankful ...ive tried everywhere to find it ..but no luck ...
hopefully ill get some help here ...my last hope i think

Relax, I have a sulotion to youre problem. All the BIOS ver. are availeble on MSI's
site. Here is the link, just pick the one you want.
A little tip, start Live update and macke a rescue disk. When you made the disk, close live update. Rename the BIOS file(e.g A6758IMS.360) you wanna flash to AMIBOOT.ROM, and paste it onto the rescue disk. Say yes to overwrite the existing file. Put the disk in youre floppydrive and rebot.
This works fine on my system.
    Anyway, good luck:biggthumbsup:

  • Troubles with graphic card driver at Equium A60

    Hello everybody,
At first sorry for my bad English.
I have some trouble with the driver of my graphic card. After a new installation I just wanted to install the driver of the ATI Radeon 7000 (I have an Equium A60), after this I had to ascertain that my pc was out of order. The trouble was because the driver, I'm sure, because after a new installation, without the VGA-drive, my notebook is working, somehow.... I mean, I'm sure it could work better if the graphic would have an own driver.
I have been searching on the web and I did see that this was not a new problem; many people have the same trouble with it. Somehow, the pc's own driver is not compatible.
Could anyone help me to find a solution for my problem?
    Thanks a lot,
    Eurytheus

Sorry my friend but your posting sounds really unbelievable. Original Toshiba driver is not compatible with the hardware. It can not be. It can not be the truth!
Your notebook model is almost 4 years old and I presume Toshiba have had enough time to react if display driver is somehow problematic. I recommend you to back up all your data and try to install your notebook using original recovery image. If there is no hardware problem notebook should work well again.
Sorry but I do not see any other solution there because the driver is definitely tested and it must work well.

  • Trouble with the PS CC2014 3D Effects - Intel HD Graphics 3000 that doesn't work properly?

I Have a MBP 13 inch 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 late 2011 and I'm Having trouble with the PS CC2014 3D Effects crashing when trying to apply a New 3D extrusion, are there any solution regarding the Intel HD Graphics 3000 that doesn't work properly?
    Thanks!

Look at this document. It should help you troubleshoot and it suggests settings to try out.
Photoshop CC and CC 2014 GPU FAQ
While the stock advice for Windows users is to go to the Intel site for updates, Mac users can only get their drivers in the Mac OSX system updates. So you need to be sure your OS is up to date. If you have an earlier version, like 10.7 or 10.8, it is possible an upgrade to 10.9 might help.

  • Can you uprez graphics created with Motion?

I'm doing a low rez offline and want to uprez the final product.  Is that possible with Motion?  Is it automatic or some sort of incredbly complcated workflow to do it?

I was afraid that might happen. you could just scale the type layer... As long as there were no filters on it, it should remain vector and won't look bad if you simply alter your scaling.
For instance if you went from 640x360 to 1280x720, 1280/640 is a 200% increase. You could set the scaling for the type layer to 200%. Can't guarantee that the layout will hold, though.
Did the folks who dictated the change of resolution think there would be no consequences?
    best,
    Patrick

  • Trouble with graphics driver

The driver in question is the Intel(R) HD Graphics family one (according to the Device Manager)
So what's been happening is I've been playing a Java based browser game. Occasionally the display will flicker with the message "Display driver stopped working and has recovered." Other times, instead of a simple flicker, the whole thing will stop working and the page must be restarted.
I tried searching the internet and trying out solutions with the game itself (it has 2 different display settings, OpenGL and DirectX. The problem appears on both). I was told it was almost certainly a problem with the driver.
I searched around the Intel website and according to some stuff I found, I have to find out what's going on with the computer itself as the drivers get altered by the manufacturers.
    Here's some technical info:
    Lenovo Thinkpad t440s
    Windows 8.1
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200U CPU @ 1.600GHz 2.30GHz
    6GB RAM (5.69 Usable)
    64-bit OS
A note: It only occurs on that one game, though I only really use low-intensity Java applications, so there may be other situations it could occur.
If anyone can offer any solutions, I'd appreciate it. It gets annoying.

    Hi Arot6,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community!
Have you checked with latest graphic driver which was released last month only?
Uninstall the current version restart the system and download the latest version from the below link and run the installation file.
