Trouble with my albums.

I iPod no longer has my music catagorized by albums,artists, etc. It only has a songs tab. I have it enabled in iTunes. Any suggestions?

You must turn on these functions on your iPod under settings to be able to use them. Having them on in iTunes doesn't affect the iPod at all. Welcome to discussions!

    I downloaded mountain lion and then iPhoto '11 in order to tap into iCloud capabilities with all of my devices. (My Mac was outdated in regards to operating platform to do this). After installing iPhoto 11, I had to repair and rebuild my library of photos.  However, after doing this, all of my albums were jumbled and, while I can see the image thumbnail, when I click on the thumbnail, and error that looks like a black triangle and gray exclamation pops up as opposed to the larger hi def image I want to view.

  • Trouble with sorting albums

    I have two troubles with itunes:
    occasionally my albums have their "out of" track numbers removed. so in the track # column it does not display "(track number) of (total tracks on CD)" but instead only displays "(track number)"
    And
    occasionally the LAST song of an album will above the FIRST song of the album instead of the staying as the last song. I have tried everything and cannot fix this without re burning the CD. I don't want to have to do that as I do not have my CD collection with me.
    How should I go about fixing these and making sure they dont continue to happen?

    Generally setting a common Album Artist will fix things.

    If iTunes won't accept changes to the tags see Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows.
    If iTunes appears to accept your changes but the original values reappear later then the files are likely to be mp3s with multiple tags. In such cases iTunes only updates one of them and may later read back the unchanged data from the other. To fix this select the tracks in question in iTunes, right-click and use Convert > ID3 Tags > None, several times, then use Convert > ID3 Tags > ID3v2.3. You will need to reinsert any embedded artwork.

  • Trouble with an album no longer on the store

    Hi all. So far, iTunes Match has been working fine for me on my iPhone. However, today I discovered that one of my albums is giving me a little trouble. It's "Cautella" by Richard Devine, and I bought it on iTunes a long times ago. I used the same iTunes account that I have now, and it shows up fine in the cloud. But when I try to download it from the cloud on my iPhone, the progress bar almost completely fills up, and then... it says "Download error. Tap to retry." (Tapping it again just results in the same error.)
    But here's the kicker: I just searched on iTunes for the album, and I think it's NOT available for sale anymore. (Yet, it was successfully loaded to my cloud, and is in my Purchased list.) The other weird thing is some of the songs will still play when I tap them on the phone, and some just get skipped over and don't play.
    What can I do to resolve this snag? The only thing I can think of is deleting the tracks from my cloud, purchasing the MP3s again from another retailer, and then matching those new files with iTunes Match. Thanks!

    Nevermind. I deleted it from the cloud and iTunes, added it back to both, and now I can download it on my iPhone without getting the error message. (Of course, the cover art disappeared the first time, but that's another story.)

  • Trouble with photo albums in front row

    Hi,
    I am having trouble getting my photo albums to play via front row. I have numerous albums but when i go into them in front row, it just shows up random photos from the album and roll they came from, with none of the album pages showing. The photo roll and the name of the albums is the same ie: roll called sweden, album called sweden, would that be causing a problem, ie: iphoto unsure of which photos to show? They play fine in iphoto, with all of the album pages showing, but not in front row.
    I'm not sure whether this is a iphoto prob. or a front row prob....
    Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am getting a little frusterated!!

    Can you launch the Editor separately then use:
    File >> Open
    How did you install? From download or disk?
    Have you activated the software? This has changed with PSE12 and requires you to sign-in with your Adobe ID (email address and password)

  • Trouble with Smart Albums

    I'm trying to create a smart album from within one of my projects.  The criteria I'm trying to use is the "Image Location" found in the IPTC data.  The image city is "Seattle", but when I try to create the smart album, it comes up empty.  No matter what I do, I can't get it to include the images with the city, Seattle.  Everything else works properly, including other cities that I've used for smart album creation.
    Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

    First thing to do is examine the install disk for any scratches and dirt. If there are any, then you'll need to fix it. I've had success using liquid auto polish (w/o wax) rubbing with a cotton cloth (old, white T-shirt works great) from the center to the edge. Once the disk passes checking, then do an Erase & Install installation, and when it restarts into the Welcome and Setup routine, use the Migration Assistant to transfer your stuff from the bootable backup. It doesn't matter how many times you've upgraded, the new OS will delete anything that's older than the current OS.
    Oh, if you can't fix the disk, then call 1-800-MY-APPLE and get a replacement install disk. Should be a nominal fee for S&H.

  • Trouble with songs that have no albums

    Hey,
    I have a new video ipod, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the feature where, when you click on an artist with only one album, it goes directly to the list of songs in that album, instead of the list of the albums. The issue is with artists where I have one full labeled album and another song or two not in the album with the Album field left blank. When I click on the artist, it goes directly to the list of songs on the one album I have, making it impossible to access the song that isn't in the album. You can only get to it by going to the list of all the songs on the ipod. Is there anyway to fix this, or disable the feature that goes directly to the album tracks when you only have one album for an artist? Thanks!

    - Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    - Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
    - Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
    If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes

  • I am having trouble with a form, won't tab to 2nd page...

    I am having trouble with a form I created in Acrobat Pro 10. I created tabs etc, they all work wonderfully in Adobe, but once I uploaded it onto the web-based program for other users, the tabs only work  on page 1, I have to click on page 2 to keep tabbing through.  It won't tab into it.  Any advise?  Also, when the users open it it opens in the web.

    1. The library is separate from the application, so re-installing shouldn't cause an issue with the actual photos. But it would be foolhardy in the extreme to do anything without first backing up.
    2. Often these issues are caused by a damaged Library, so reinstalling doesn't change much.
    FWIW
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
    2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
    2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
    If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
    If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
    If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.
    Alternative approach:
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

    am having trouble with iPhoto-it won't launch and leaves a blank white screen box and spinning wheel of death-if I re-install software-will I lose all photos and faces settings? Any ideas-this is a Mac Pro and Xserve school system.
    It seemed to stem from when I was transferring some movie footage from an HD camcorder to iMovie.
    This is a school system and I'm worried I may lose many photos and face recognition data.

    I'm having trouble with the repeat function on iTunes 11.  The buttons are there but will not allow me to repeat an album when selected under artist from remote app on iPhone.  I have downloaded the update for the remote app but the repeat function now repeats all albums under that artist name.  Selecting the album directly under albums works but is not as easly to access.  Any thoughts?

  • Trouble with Facebook app

    last week my iphone 4 FB app stopped giving me the camera icon on photo albums for me to upload pictures. Have deleted the app twice and reinstalled still no luck. the rest of the fb app works. But not this. also had alot of trouble with pandora too. When it wants to a new text message will kill it. I have had to delete it twice and reinstall to get that fixed. Callled apple today they had no idea how to help me. Any ideas?? bit mad as only had this phone a month.

    Again, it's not the phone, or operating system. It's the App. Perhaps your gf, hasn't updated her apps in a while.
    Mine changed about a week ago too. Other's have reported the same thing. It's just not worth crying about.
