Trouble with OSX client registering in SCCM

I am having a weird issue with a OSX client failing to register in SCCM. Our infrastructure is a CAS and three primary sites. On one of the primary sites (we will call it "Site 3"), I have a DP with the MP role on it to support HTTP
clients and a separate DP\MP server strictly for HTTPS (OSX) clients. It works fine and runs well. On another site ("Site 1"), we have the same setup however when I try to register a test OSX endpoint it is showing weird behavior.
The HTTPS MP has a message about a registration response pending for the GUID displayed in the configuration manger client window in System Preferences and the enrollment status reports Enrolled, but it never appears in the SCCM console. Another thing is if
I click the "connect now" button in the client applet, a new client GUID is generated and another registration response pending shows up in the dmprp.log file.
The message "Registration response status is: CCM_REGISTRATIONRESPONSE_PENDING" appears in the DMPRP.log for the HTTPS DP\MP for Site 1 but I don't think that is a normal message for enrollment when things are working. MP_RegistrationManager.log
shows DDR processing matching the cert name and client GUID.
A bit of additional info is that we are using third-party SSL certs for the endpoints and are not going through the typical ADCS PKI/SCCM enrollment point process. The networking group reports no dropped packets on the hardware firewall everything
is sitting behind but if you have any ideas of ways a firewall could cause this behavior I would love to hear it.

Samba share problem with OSX client

hi all,
I've a well know problem with samba server, in my case linux samba server.
In my network 4 client Mac OSx with different OS version everyday are usually connect to samba share with smb or network finder, normaly without specifics configuration or other.
NOW, I've 3 macbook air client with different OS version that do not connect never.
Server log write WRONG PASSWORD but is not TRUE.
I've tried every solution without success.
There is a patch to be applied to client?
it's just a coincidence that only AIR does not work?

I'm noticing this in the job info as well:
Session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE
and the logs show it trying to login as root when I am supplying my domain credentials.
If I add the printer by IP address it works fine. I tried to delete keychain keys but that didn't work for me.

Trouble with 10g client

Hey Folks
Client Side:
10.2.0.1
Windows 2k
Server Side:
Several HPUX 11.23
10.2.0.2 or 9.2.0.6.0
When I try to connect with the 10g client (or sqlplus) to 9i or 10g there are several errors:
If the login and password is correct:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-02248: invalid option for ALTER SESSION
If the login and password is incorrect:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
I have an other box with the 9i client there it works perfectly.
Any ideas?

Heaving troubles with OSX mavericks installing

It ***** and want to install back my old OSX mountain lion 10.8 on my MacBook Pro

There may be problems with the sockets, could be dirty pins on the RAM modules, could be RAM not fully compatible with Macs which tend to be pretty picky, sometimes. Did you try one module at a time in each socket? Different brands may work better. Be sure you are using 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMMs. Don't try using faster rated RAM.
I have great success using RAM from DataMem.
Neither Lion nor your firmware have anything to do with this. Third-party RAM will work fine in Macs. Brand of RAM is generally of no importance, but a lifetime warranty is important.

Having Trouble With OSX

Okay well I booted up my dad's old G4 he gave me and I had to restore it any everything but when I tried installing OSX on it, when I turn it on, it goes to a grey screen with writing on it and at the bottom says like, "We are hanging here"
I'm a Mac noob tbh and could really use some help :S

Having trouble with garmin website registering recent product

I recently purchased a garmin product and while visiting the website and trying to register my product, it said it wasn't compatible with Firefox 5.0. I would like to know how to get the updated version of Firefox to register my Garmin product.

Basically, the Garmin software that you installed on your PC needs an updated version of Garmin's Firefox plugin. Firefox 5.0 was just released 7 weeks ago, and it is the latest release version of Firefox. And Firefox 6 is due to be releases on 8 / 16.

Having trouble with thin client

Hello all,
First of all, I appologize if I post in the wrong section. So please, just move it where suitable.
I have HP T5000 Thin Client and I would like to connect it to a desktop computer that runs Windows Multipoint Server 2012. My problem is that it doesn't accept IP address sent by router. If I enter parameters manualy, it still can't see other computers in network. Does this mean that something failed or that I have to setup something else.
Also, would you be so kind as to suggest what would be the best option for this device - which server to connect it to and in what way?

DDNS with OSX Clients

We've just migrated to a new DNS/DHCP Server environment as part of an office move and I've suddenly realised that none of our Macs were ever sending DDNS updates to the DHCP/DNS servers as part of the allocation process. Does anyone know where this would be configured?

You'll have to configure a launchd job to run a script that in turn runs nsupdate with appropriate parameters.

UAG problems with OSX - same problem with Mac Mail and Outlook 2011 (via EWS)

Hi folks,
I'm trying to fix the last snagging issue I have with OSX clients in a UAG / Exchange 2010 deployment:
When trying to connect Mac Mail or Outlook 2011 the connections are very slow to start up, both at initial config and thereafter.
On connection I see lots of the same error re Session Cookies in UAG and no connection in the mail client. If I leave it for a few minutes, sometime many minutes, the errors stop and I eventually get a working connection.
The error is:
"Sesson Attempted to Access Restricted Application"
User with source IP address x.x.x.x tried to access application Exchange EWS that was restricted that was restricted for the session. This might indicate an intrusion attempt by misusing the session cookie.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this ?

Ruud, no, we didn't find a solution, or rather our solution (so far) is to tell users not to use Mac Mail and to use Outlook 2011 instead, which seems to work fine (after some Office updates!)...and we haven't upset anyone with that requirement
(yet).
There are some very long discussions on Apple support forums about the whole Mavericks / Mac Mail / Exchange 2010 issues.
I do hope to have another go at this problem sometime soon, I'm sure there must be a solution (and my money says it relates our hardware load balancers).

Trouble with SCCM Client Push

I am having issues with pushing the SCCM client. I am able to push the client just fine as it installs OK but it will not assign the site code. When I try to manually enter the site code I get the "Failed to Update Site Assignment" error. However,
when I log off of my domain admin account and log on as the local administrator I can manually enter the site code and it accepts it. My domain account is added as a local administrator..
The old Network Admin who setup most of SCCM in not with us anymore so I am in charge of figuring out where he left off at and getting everything working. From what I can put together we have extended AD and the System Management folder is populated. I have
ran a query in AD to ensure we do not have any over lapping boundaries. As far as I know we installed SCCM 2012 fresh and did not upgrade from 2007. I have checked our GPO and have not found any that are trying to push the site code.
I have copy and pasted a couple logs below that may help troubleshoot. I have googled for days now how to fix the issues I see in the logs but haven't found anything. Please Help!!

When I upgraded from SP1 to R2 I had a very similar message. This thread helped me out:

I am having trouble with permissions in viewing my old hard drive, when I save a permission when I reboot the full access is changed again . What is the best way to get complete access to my old hd installed in my new Macbook?

Open the Get Info window for the old drive. Click the Lock icon on the bottom of that window and type in your password. In the permissions area click the Plus sign ( + ) and Add your Username to it and set it to Read & Write. Close that window. you should now have full access to all the files.

I am having trouble with plug-ins. How do I cure this? The last time I believe I had to update my operating system. My current operating sytstem is MAX OSx , Version 10.6.8

I am now wanting to subscribe to the online creative cloud with my cs3 discount. Is there any way to find / prove that I had purchased cs3 and locate a serial number? On my Adobe account it does not show my purchase of cs3 (I am guessing because of the trouble with registering my serial number). I have moved house 3 times since the purchase and am unable to locate the packaging or disk. Is there any way to prove my purchase without any serial number or showing under my Adobe account? The CS3 discount offer is only for retail online product, it does not include education or volume license purchases. Refer to Terms and Conditions | Adobe
To check whether you had retail CS3 purchase, we need proof of purchase as well as serial number, without which the issue can not be resolved.
