Trouble with outlook 2013 but not OWA

My company uses Office 365 and outlook 2013. we have a user can no longer edit shared calender events in Outlook however she can edit them in OWA. I added her profile to my PC and I have the same issue on my PC.  There says you don not have permissions
to edit this calendar. However, if try to do the same thing in OWA it works just fine. Her outlook profile is configured correctly and autodiscover is enabled on 365. I can not nuke her 365 account because there are things we need in her account. does anyone
have any idea how to resolve this?

OWA is fine but Outlook client fails. It seems the Mailbox folder permission has been set right on the mailbox level but Outlook doesn't get the update from server.
On the client site, we may create a new Outlook profile and re-sync the new OST, OAB, etc to check if the issue still persists.
For a workaround, we may grant the FullAccess permission to access the target shared calendar/mailbox on Office 365 management platform?
If the shared calendar is located on the Office 365 Shared Mailbox, try to use Office 365 Shared Mailbox tool.
We created a GUI-based tool to make it easier to create and configure shared mailboxes. After you download the shared mailbox tool and create a security group, you can run the tool to create a shared mailbox and assign the
FullAccess and SendAs permissions to a security group. See
Create Shared Mailboxes with GUI-based Tool.

    Hi,
What’s your account type using in Outlook? IMAP account or Exchange account?
Please make sure your Outlook 2013 is updated to the latest version. Then click Send/Receive > Send/Receive All Folders to manually download mailbox data files from mail server to Outlook data file. If it fails, please recreate the IMAP account in Outlook
    to have a try:

  • Trouble with Outlook 2013 sync w/ Windows Live Mail calendar

I am facing some problem with OL2013 and Live Calender.
    1. I have live and one other email (other mail) account configured in OL13
    2. In other mail account I right click on email, select move ==> copy to other folder and select live calender to assign the calender time.
    3. I can see the appointment added to live calender in OL13 but can see the same on Online live calender. it is not getting sync correctly.
    can anyone help please?

    Hi
I have a similar problem but it also goes for 1-one item
I have followed the MS instructions for setting up Outlook to Connect With Hotmail which gives me 2 calendars in Outlook.
The first calendar is the original one, I will Call it the initial one in the following description of the problem.
The second one is the Connected Hotmail calendar With my Hotmail login account name as name.
    Problem description
If I copy an appointment from the Initial Calendar in Outlook (Outlook-datafile) to the Hotmail Connected calendar in Outlook it does not syncronize. The reason for this is that I Accept the appointment on the Hotmail Connected Calendar. If I do not Accept
it but just copy it Works. However this option does not include any updates on the appointment as they will only be visible on the Initial Outlook Calendar.
Any appointments I add in the Hotmail calendar is syncronized to my mobile except the one as described above!
    How can we fix this?

  • Trouble with ibus+libreoffice but not with ibus+openoffice-base

I've been having this problem with libreoffice ever since the switch. I use ibus with the following settings:
    XMODIFIERS="@im=ibus"
    GTK_IM_MODULE="ibus"
    KDE_IM_MODULE="ibus"
but if I launch libreoffice the application doesn't respond to any keyboard events, even shortcuts (i.e. ctrl+Q). In addition the ibus-daemon process starts taking up full CPU time. I've tried setting "xim" instead of "ibus" but when I do that I can type, but the characters don't get "committed."
I've just installed openoffice-base and this time ibus works as intended.

Just a quick question. Do you happen to use KDE? Try adding this line:
    export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP="gnome"
to $HOME/.xprofile . Adding that fixed the problem for me (although you get ugly GNOME file dialogs). Looks like the new KDE integration code added to libreoffice is the culprit.

  • Iphone 6 not syncing with outlook 2013 correctly

Just got the new iPhone 6 and syncing with outlook 2013 is not working.  No contacts are coming over.  Calendar comes over only partially.  Music and apps work fine.  The settings in itune are the same as with the old iPhone 4 but maybe there is some setting to change on the phone.  I'm on a window 8.1 pc and not using icloud.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

In Outlook 2013, I navigated to "People" and copied the contacts that I wanted to sync from the "Contacts" folder to the "Search Results" folder (<ctrl>+[drag and drop] to folder in left hand Folder pane).
iTunes then synchronised those contacts (only) fine.

  • Have tried to install icloud 4.0 for windows and again it does not allow syncing with outlook 2013 calendar and contact using windows 8.1 and IOS 8.02 (unexpected error)? I thought itunes 12.0 and icloud 4.0 would solve issue but still same result.

I have tried to install icloud 4.0 for windows and again is does not allow syncing with outlook 2013 calendar and contact, using windows 8.1 and IOS 8.02 (get - unexpected error)?

Having same issues. had been syncing every few days with outlook 2007 contacts and calendar but since updated to 4.0.2 and latest itunes I get an error that it is unable to sync. I can't seem to find any solution.

  • Acrobat XI email attachment does not appear to work with Outlook 2013 64 bit

When attempting to send email from Acrobat, the following Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 64 bit error message is received:
"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.  Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default email client."
Naturally, Outlook was set as default client and then reset for good measure.  I did both Outlook and Acrobat repairs and have the latest 11.0.2 installed.  All other internal Office 2013 email applications work as well as seemingly all other embedded Acrobat funcitions with Office 2013 work well.  Office 2010 64 bit and Acrobat X worked fine.  I upgraded to Office 2013 64 bit and had the problem with Acrobat X.  I then upgraded to Acrobat XI and the issue remained.
Most importantly, I intalled Office 2013 64 bit on my laptop with Acrobat X.  An the email attachment function works perfectly.
So, is there some sort of corrupt MAPI file that I have to overwrite on my desktop that the Ofice and Acrobat repair functions do not fix?
    Thanks,
    Joe

I am sorry.  In my haste, not only did I attach the link the wrong way, but I also did not specify which solution worked.  My problem was a Click to Run issue.  The portion of the thread that deals with the problem is:
"HurdleRemove replied on May 16, 2013
I created a solution for this problem for 64 bit Windows 8 where Outlook 2013 was installed as Click-To-Run.......
......A  registry edit will fix the problem with Outlook 2013 click to run  installations and enable Outlook to be set as the default mail client.  This registry edit will for many third party programs eliminate the error "Either  there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot  fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it  as the default mail client." It  worked to resolve the problem where Adobe Acrobat was generating this  error.
The registry edit is here for Office  2013 64 bit click to run installations that will enable Outlook 2013 to  be recognized by third party applications:
    1. Create registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook
    2. Create String value:
    Bitness
    3. Set the String value for Bitness to:
    x64
This registry edit is an essential element  necessary to resolve the click to run problem that prevents Outlook 2013  from being set as the default mail client. Although it worked with  Adobe Acrobat, it will not completely resolve the  problem for some third party applications like Kerio Outlook Connecter  where the software developer has a web site that includes extra steps  necessary for a full resolution for the Kerio product. The Kerio web  site includes this registry edit in the context  of resolving the Office 365 problem. However, the registry edit works  with Office 2013 desktop as well. A similar register edit could likely  be made for 32 bit versions but the registry path would not include Wow6432Node. I do not have a 32 bit machine and cannot test a 32 bit solution."

  • Outlook 2013 is not publishing calendar to webdav using settings successful with Outlook 2010

I am successfully publishing availability data (an ics file) to a webdav server, using Outlook 2010. The format of the URL is https://[domain]/public_html/calendar/
When I use the same URL in Outlook 2013, it returns the message "Contacting web server" and then "The upload to 'Calendar' failed. Failed to sign in."
Of course, there's no sign in dialog box provided. So, I change the URL to the format https://[login name]:[password]@URL/public_html/calendar/
There is no "Contacting web server". Instead, Outlook goes directly to the error message "The upload of 'Calendar' failed. The calendar was not published because the connection to the server failed. Make sure your computer has a network connection
and that you typed the correct Web address."
There's nothing wrong with the connection; I've tried this and its failed many times. So, I conclude that Outlook 2013 doesn't like a web address that includes the login credentials.
What changed with Outlook 2013 that prevents it from publishing to the same location successfully published to, by Outlook 2010?

This problem continues, and it's a showstopper.  Honestly, this is so easy to reproduce and so fundamental that I'm surprised that Microsoft hasn't done anything with it.  Tony Chen, your answer isn't really an answer
at all.  Why mark it as an answer?
Here are the specifics.  I have Microsoft Outlook 2013 (15.0.4667.1000) MSO (15.0.4667.1001) 32 bit (part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013).
In my calendar, I select "Publish Online > Publish to WebDAV Server".  I then have a dialog box that requires that I enter the publishing location URL.
I enter a URL (which is my company's internal WebDAV server URL), in the same form as the example given:
        https://mycompany.com/calendars/
and then I click "Advanced".  I select "Automatic Uploads: Upload updates periodically", with the Update Frequency checkbox checked (to select the server's recommended settings).  I click "OK", and my calendar is published
periodically to the WebDAV server, as expected.
If I monitor traffic with fiddler, I can see that outlook periodically does a PROPFIND and then PUT of my ical data to https://mycompany.com/calendars/myfile.ics.
Next, suppose I want to change the publish settings in some way.  So in my calendar, I select "Publish Online > Change Publishing Options".
Now, the "Location" text box has the previous URL I entered,
plus the name of my .ics file.  So it looks like this in the text box:
        https://mycompany.com/calendars/myfile.ics
I click "OK", and I get an error popup that says "The address you typed is not valid.  Check the address, and try again."  Note that I didn't type the address at all - it is what outlook put there for me.
As a side note:  in Outlook 2010 the URL shown is the same (i.e., the URL includes the .ics file) but the text box is inactive (greyed out) and the "OK" button does not produce this error message).
So, already something has gone very wrong.  In order to try to work around this, I then edit the text box to remove the .ics file (i.e., to put the URL back to what I originally typed,
https://mycompany.com/calendars/).  But now, one of two things will happen, neither of which is ok.
In some cases, Outlook will continue to publish periodically, but when it does, it will do a PUT to
https://mycompany.com/calendars/ - without the myfile.ics suffix.  Naturally, this fails, because the server doesn't know what .ics file it's supposed to put the PUT payload into.
In other cases, Outlook ceases publishing altogether.  It will do a PROPFIND to the URL, but then no PUT.  I have not yet figured out the circumstances of these two failure modes, so I'm not yet sure why one happens and not the other.  But
    they are both wrong.
So, the long and short of this is, you cannot change publishing options in Outlook 2013, because the functionality (which worked fine in Outlook 2010) is just plain broken.  I have given the steps required to reproduce this problem, and it seems like
it would be easy to address.  Yet it has been sitting for 1.5 years with no fix.  What will it take to get this fixed?  Microsoft people, please advise - if I can get it fixed by opening a support case then please say so; paying is not an obstacle.

    Hi,
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods to verify the quota status of mailboxes.
Method 1: Use Exchange Admin Console (EAC)
If you want to verify the status of individual mailbox quotas, follow these steps: 1.Log on to EAC by using a user account that is assigned at least the Mail Recipients role.
2.In the feature pane, click recipients. A list of mailboxes is displayed.
3.Select the mailbox of which you want to verify the quota status, and then click the Edit button on the toolbar.
4.Click mailbox usage. The mailbox quota usage is displayed.
Method 2: Use Exchange Management Shell
If you want to verify the status of individual mailbox quota, run the following command in Exchange Management Shell:
    Get-MailboxStatistics DisplayName | ft *quota*,*size -AutoSize –Wrap
If you want to verify the status of the mailbox quota for all the mailboxes that are hosted on a database, run the following command:
Get-MailboxStatistics -Database DatabaseName | ft displayname,*quota*,*size -AutoSize –Wrap
