Trouble with photo albums in front row

Hi,
I am having trouble getting my photo albums to play via front row. I have numerous albums but when i go into them in front row, it just shows up random photos from the album and roll they came from, with none of the album pages showing. The photo roll and the name of the albums is the same ie: roll called sweden, album called sweden, would that be causing a problem, ie: iphoto unsure of which photos to show? They play fine in iphoto, with all of the album pages showing, but not in front row.
I'm not sure whether this is a iphoto prob. or a front row prob....
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am getting a little frusterated!!

Can you launch the Editor separately then use:
File >> Open
How did you install? From download or disk?
Have you activated the software? This has changed with PSE12 and requires you to sign-in with your Adobe ID (email address and password)

I downloaded mountain lion and then iPhoto '11 in order to tap into iCloud capabilities with all of my devices. (My Mac was outdated in regards to operating platform to do this). After installing iPhoto 11, I had to repair and rebuild my library of photos. However, after doing this, all of my albums were jumbled and, while I can see the image thumbnail, when I click on the thumbnail, and error that looks like a black triangle and gray exclamation pops up as opposed to the larger hi def image I want to view.

Is the video within iTunes or just in your movies folder?
If it is not iTunes then ignore the "itunes" portion below.
Remove the following files to the trash (do not empty until you test for function):
~/library/caches
~/library/preferences/com.apple.itunes.plist
~/library/preferences/com.apple.frontrow.plist
- Repair your permissions - > http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=DiskUtility/10.5/en/duh17.html
- Restart your computer again
- Test and see how its working

Yes, Front Row handles DVDs fine. If Front Row is already open, a new section called DVDs appears after the Mac reads and mounts the disc. If you insert the DVD and let it be read and mounted first the new DVD section will be there when you open Front Row.

Alternate photo library in Front Row?

So, I just bought my first Mac, use Front Row, and am a photographer. Can I browse my Aperture Library through Front Row and just not use iPhoto at all?

Yes, it will duplicate your photos. However, when you export from Aperture you can specify the quality of the jpegs. If you imported raw photos into Aperture the export will be jpeg and much smaller. But, basically yes, it will create duplicates for the iPhoto library.
Aperture is the 'pro' version of iPhoto. You can do everything and more in Aperture that you can in iPhoto - except view the photos in Front Row! As you're a photographer (and I assume purchased Aperture) then I'd start with Aperture and only export into iPhoto those photos that you want to view in FrontRow.

Viewing iPhoto albums via Front Row

I have created numerous albums in iPhoto which work fine whilst viewing in iPhoto. If I try to view them via Front Row it shows all the folders and albums (including sample shots from the albums) on the menu page, but if I select any of the albums it just scrolls through the entire library.
Have I missed something in the set up, or is there a bug in the software?
Any help would be appreciated.

Apple have acknowledged that there is a problem with Front Row on the new Intel iMacs.
I am sure they will release a software update for either Front Row or your iMac soon.

Apple TV 2 - Problems WIth Photo Albums

Hi there,
I use Aperture to store all my libraries and have come across an issue with the new Apple TV.
I have my photos organized into Folders and within those folders I have the photos further organized into various projects. When I view my photo library on the Apple TV, it displays both the "Folder" as well as the "Projects" in it. Since the Apple TV is doing this, the same photos are displayed twice (in the folder and the project).
Front Row, however, does not do this, it will simply show the Projects only (which is what I'd like the Apple TV to do).
Has anyone else run into this?

Yes, it appears the ATV2 only shows root level folders and everything under those are lumped into one big subfolder each.
I have no idea why they would do this. Obviously if you have your pictures in folders, you did it for a reason...

Having trouble removing photo albums from iPhone 4S

I have several photo albums on my iPhone that I would like to remove, they were created after i downloaded pics from emails, the pics do not have a trash can icon for convenient deletion, I cannot see these albums on my pc when i try to access the files in regular folders (which would be nice and convenient) and I cannot access these albums in anyway through iTunes (as far as I can tell), what can I do to remove these albums I wonder?

If you created the albums in the Photos app, then, in Album view, touch the Edit button. Any Album that you can delete will then have an "X" in the upper left corner of its album icon. Touch the "X" to delete that album.
Other albums that were created by syncing with a PC can only be deleted by syncing with iTunes on that PC with the album unselected.

Iweb formating problem with photo album

Hi,
Im quite new to iweb but was developing a simple website to advertise a friends photography business.
I've made three pages, one of which is photo gallery using iweb's photo album page structure which seems to work fine apart from one problem.
I adapted one of the themes to have a simple gradient colour fill for the page background and a single colour for the browser background. The problem occurs when i want to view a larger image of the one of the photos - the colour gradient does not extent upwards into the header area and down into the footer area.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I've tried playing around with all of those settings but with no luck. It appears exactly how i want it to look in iWeb but as soon as i publish it to a folder to upload it to my web server the problem arises.

Problem with photo albums

I have been using iWeb for some time and have a site that is hovering around 1GB in size. I handle the various pages by creating separate Domain files for a small number of pages. I am having an issue at the moment. I have a copy of the complete site on my hard drive and am trying to add a photos page with One album in it. This has always worked in the past.
I create the album page and publish to a folder. The resulting page works as it should.
I then copy the Album file into my main site folder and it stops working. I don't know why! I have used the same process for ages and it has always worked before.
Any thoughts please?

I can see what you mean but.
If I remove the index.html from the "publish" folder then open the Album folder (for sake of clarity this is called Boat.
Inside the Boat folder is Boat.html
clicking on Boat.html will open the album as normal with or without the index.html being present.
If I move the Boat folder to another folder with the same root name it will open as normal as long as the scripts folder is with it.
If I move the Boat and scripts folders to the "master" folder it does not.
As I said earlier I have been doing this for several years and have not had this problem before.
I am sure the answer is simple but it has got me puzzled at the minute

Trouble with sorting albums

I have two troubles with itunes:
occasionally my albums have their "out of" track numbers removed. so in the track # column it does not display "(track number) of (total tracks on CD)" but instead only displays "(track number)"
And
occasionally the LAST song of an album will above the FIRST song of the album instead of the staying as the last song. I have tried everything and cannot fix this without re burning the CD. I don't want to have to do that as I do not have my CD collection with me.
How should I go about fixing these and making sure they dont continue to happen?

Generally setting a common Album Artist will fix things.
For deeper problems see Grouping tracks into albums.
If iTunes won't accept changes to the tags see Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows.
If iTunes appears to accept your changes but the original values reappear later then the files are likely to be mp3s with multiple tags. In such cases iTunes only updates one of them and may later read back the unchanged data from the other. To fix this select the tracks in question in iTunes, right-click and use Convert > ID3 Tags > None, several times, then use Convert > ID3 Tags > ID3v2.3. You will need to reinsert any embedded artwork.

I'm creating a site for my baby with DW 8. I've created a
photo album, but I cant get the same background as the other pages.
What would be an easy way to have all pages including the album
looking the same. Thank you.

Trouble purchasing photo album I just created.

I am trying to create a photo album. When I enter my address for shipping, I am told that the city, state, zip are invalid (or something to that affect). I live here. I know my address is valid and entered correctly.

Probably you are ordering from the Print Products Store in a different country. Check the country setting in the iPhoto preferences > Advanced for the Print Products Store.

Trouble Accessing Photo Albums

When I go to the Photo album, it lists the albums I have. Right now all I have is the Camera Roll and Wallpapers album. The top album- Camera Roll, is blocked by the Album header in Ipod Touch. It won't scroll down to access the album. Can anyone help.

In trouble with photos on iPad, i now have 3 copies of everything ?

hi all, i have today been getting a folder prepared on my MacBookPro, this folder consisting of about 10 folders all full of photos, i have gone through them all making sure there were NO duplicates anywhere.
i then Sync to iPad the contents of this folder, and hundreds of photos
ok, i then look to see what happened on iPad, all the folders i created are there, now calling themselves "albums" and contain single copies of all the photos that were on my MacBookPro.
i then click on the TAB "photos" and lo and behold i have three copies of every photo under the "photos" tab !!!!!!!!
I am guessing that it is because i have SYNCed three times today, not really knowing what i was doing, BUT i understood, that when i do carry out a SYNC like this all photos are deleted on iPad !!!!
Happily Photo Stream doesnt look to be affected !!!

The photos that are in the iPhoto app are the same as in the Photos app (iPhoto is looking at the Photos albums) - so you've only got one copy of the photos, but both apps are looking at that copy.
