Trouble with photos

i cant get my photos off my pearl 8220.my mum bought it for me and she cant work it out either.we have the desktop manager and then go to media and then click on the left one that says for photos.we get something that says ro xio then it goes to a window that says My media library and gives a pictures option but then we are stuck.Can someone give us step by step instructions in words for an 11 year old and an adult who hasnt a clue please that we can print off.we are using a laptop with vista.. thank you

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
The easiest way to retrieve files from a BB is via USB tether where the BB appears like a drive letter (or letters) in Windows -- then you can simply drag-n-drop (or move, copy, etc.) just like everything else in Windows. These instructions are how to get your systems set up to do that:

Has anyone had trouble with photo albums and viewing photos after downloading a newer version of iPhoto?

I downloaded mountain lion and then iPhoto '11 in order to tap into iCloud capabilities with all of my devices. (My Mac was outdated in regards to operating platform to do this). After installing iPhoto 11, I had to repair and rebuild my library of photos. However, after doing this, all of my albums were jumbled and, while I can see the image thumbnail, when I click on the thumbnail, and error that looks like a black triangle and gray exclamation pops up as opposed to the larger hi def image I want to view.

Trouble with photo albums in front row

Hi,
I am having trouble getting my photo albums to play via front row. I have numerous albums but when i go into them in front row, it just shows up random photos from the album and roll they came from, with none of the album pages showing. The photo roll and the name of the albums is the same ie: roll called sweden, album called sweden, would that be causing a problem, ie: iphoto unsure of which photos to show? They play fine in iphoto, with all of the album pages showing, but not in front row.
I'm not sure whether this is a iphoto prob. or a front row prob....
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am getting a little frusterated!!

Can you launch the Editor separately then use:
File >> Open
How did you install? From download or disk?
Have you activated the software? This has changed with PSE12 and requires you to sign-in with your Adobe ID (email address and password)

Trouble with photos taking up double space on iPhone

Had to reinstall Windows 7 today. I have iTunes on one drive and all my media on another. Done this a few times and always just synced moved the folders about & synced with no trouble. Today has been a nightmare and what took 30 mins to sync photos to my iPhone 6 on Friday, has so far taken at least 3 hours and double the space has been taken up.
I can't see any duplicates on my pc or phone. On iTunes it was showing 25gb for 'other' which is the same size as my photos. Not sure what it reads now as I can't click anything until it finishes. But my iPhone is showing way too much on the photos section. Can anyone help please?!

Nobody? The photos show as 22gb when viewing my iPhone on iTunes and 'other' 25gb. on my iPhone, photos show as 47gb. The day before they were about 25gb on my iPhone.Definitely not right!

Trouble with photos rendering after transitions inserted

I'm having trouble in general with the program running slow and stuttering. But my biggest problem is that after I insert a transition, the photo (with ken burns effect) doesn't re render itself. so after the transition, the movement of the photo skips back to it's original start position. When I try to view the photo settings, all I see is black.

I attempted to sync the photos but it gave me an error message; "Some of your photos were not copied to the ipod because they cannot be displayed on your ipod". Only about 5 photos of 70 made it on the iPod and one had bars through it. My laptop runs Windows Vista basic and my itunes software version is 7.4.1.2. I'm sure this is a Vista issue, any ideas or ways to get my photos on and able to display?

Trouble with photos looking different after exporting to LR5

I am new to lightroom 5. My photos do not look the same after exporting to CD or to a photo lab for printing. I am exporting to my hard drive before burning to CD. Can someone help? I am starting with RAW or CR2 files before editing.

What export settings are you using. For jpegs I always choose color space as sRGB (unless the printer requests Argb) and then I set print size, with resolution between 240 and 300 ppi. For glossy paper I choose a high sharpening setting.
It’s also possible to print a whole batch to jpeg files using the Print Module (see image below). You can then set an output value for brightening and contrast.
This can be useful as many people using uncalibrated monitors often find prints look darker than shown on their PC. When using for the first time it’s well worthwhile doing a test batch using different settings to see which gives you the best results.

Iphone 4, Trouble with photos coloration and flash strobing effect. Does anyone knows...?

Do any clever boffins know what is up? Preferable directly the Apple "geniuses"

Your profile says iPhone 4, is that correct? Do you have file extensions turned off in Windows Explorer? If so, when you turn them on, are you sure this is a jpeg file? If the image viewer cannot open it, then something is going wrong, as the image viewer can open most any kind of image file, including both jpeg and png.
For Exhibit B, I would say it could be a combination of the LED flash and the flourescent light that is causing the lines. It could just be out of sync from the electric 60Hz cycle of the flourescent light.
At first I would recommend a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. But one thing bothers me and that is the fact the Exhibit A picture looks good on the screen of the phone, but then displays this coloration on the computer, as well as giving you a file error. Not sure if that is an iOS issue, or a Windows issue.

Trouble with photos and videos

When I import photos and videos from my camera they are sent straight to deleted and then I cannot upload them to social media - even when I move them to a newly created folder. Help?

What application are using (or what application is opening) when you attach your camera for the import? If it is Image Capture, note that there is an "Import To:" selection at the bottom of the window that you can change to direct the photos to wherever you want. If you aren't using Image Capture, reply with what you are using.

Trouble with photos pasting to image contact in addressbook

When I try to paste a photo onto the image box for my contacts in addressbook while on MacBook Pro, it only stays for 3 seconds, then disappears.
I'm not sure why the photo doesn't stay. But if I take a picture with my iphone 4s, the photo will stay on my contacts on my phone and will also be sync'd with my addressbook on my MacBook Pro. So why does the computer not allow me to use a photo from my iphoto to capture in addressbook? Thanks

I tried a few difffernet things and it was doing strange things like re-sizing and not sticking...
The following however work (there may be a bug, and this work around seemed to work)
Open iPhoto, drag the photo you wish to use to the desktop. Take a screen shot of it (SHIFT_COMMAND-4)
Select (with the crosshairs) the section you wish to have and release, this will take the screen shot. Then open AddressBook go to the contact, and drag the scrren shot into the blank photo icon, a pop up menu should come up with the screen shot in it, click set.

When I take a photo on my ipad it goes to my iphone, but if I take a photo with my iphone, it goes nowhere. It used to go to my ipad, but hasn't for a while. What am I doing wrong. The photostream settings are identical on both devices. Any suggestions?

Trouble with Photos with RAW format

Can DVD Studio see photos which were taken using a RAW format. I am having a hard time with iPhoto in the stills Palette. The stills palette is freezing up and I am having a hard time trying to figure out why. Among other things, it might appear that DVD studio pro does not recognize a photo in iPhoto taken with the raw format.

That wouldn't surprise me, as I can't think of any advantage of giving DVDSP a RAW formatted picture.
You would want to modify those RAW pics in Photoshop first, and then scale down to DVD-Video resolution (crop/scale to 720x534 pixels, then scale non-proportionally to 720x480), and then save as PICT or TIFF (no need to save in a compressed format like JPEG as it's going to recompress anyway).
If you do this a lot, you can make a Photoshop action out of it.

Trouble with photo places, iPhone4

I have an iPhone4. Every time I take a photo, it doesn't show on places right way. I turned on location service and specifically turn on location service for camera, gps and compass. My girl friend has an iPhone 3GS and every time she takes a picture, the image will be located in places right away when she opens her photos. However for me, i have to restart my iphone in order to see the photo under places. Does anyone have a solution about this issue?

I have the same problem, force quitting the photo-app is a work-around. I haven't found the cause of this issue so far, nor found a structural fix. Some discussions mention that is has to do with the multitasking which is present in iOS4.
Doing a ‘force quit’ on the app. To do this, you press and hold the power button while you are in the app you want to close down. Wait for the ‘Slide to power off’ bar appears across the top of the iPhone – then don’t hit Cancel, but instead just hold down the Home button continuously until the app closes and you drop back to the home screen.
After this the photos show in places.

Trouble with photo sharing preferences in iTunes

My apple TV is not recognising my home sharing for photos. It's fine to recognise music, tv, filmes etc but not my iphotos library. This has only been happening over the last month or so and I think it was since I upgraded to a newer versiou on itunes.
In itunes I go to file > homes sharing > choose photos to share with apple tv .......
the Photo Sharing Preferences box then opens but then I just get is the spinning cog showing it's trying to connect but nothing happens and all I get is a continuous blank screen with the spinning cog in the middle and greyed out "revert" and "apply" buttons at the bottom.
My photo library is on an external hard drive but this was not a problem previously.
Anyone any ideas on how to reconnect my iphoto to the itunes photo sharing preferences?

Trouble with Photo Sharing in Elements 9?

PSE 9 only seems to send about 1 in 5 of my attempts to mail a photo attachment or photo mail. It's very frustrating. Every time I try to send an email, it appears to work and shows it uploading to 100% but then, like I said, only 1 in 5 actually get delivered to the email addresses I select. Because it sends out some things, I know it can work. What I can't figure out is why it won't work all the time. Is there some trick or requirements I don't know about? I tried shrinking the size of the photos until they were only about 35 kb and it worked, but when I shrunk them again the next time, it didn't. Plus it seems silly to have to shrink photos that small because the quality of the photos is so bad at that point, they almost aren't worth sending.

try refreshing your services from Edit->Preferences , also you can try reseting your account settings.
