Trouble with printing

Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to read though my dilemma. I am using CS3 on a mac osx leopard machine. I am trying to print to a Glunz and Jensen stingray printer. One for printing film.
My problem is that when I send a file to print from indesign, it only shows up as the size of a regular piece of paper(8.5x11) when I set it up to print at a much much bigger piece. It should print at like 35x23.5. I just noticed that there was an update that came out within the last week or two that could have caused the issue.
Does anyone have some info on this? I would like to find a workaround or maybe a patch?

Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Canon? The printer driver was updated on 11/8 and the scanner driver just a couple of days ago.

CP 1215 trouble with printing

Hi,
I have never had any troubles with this product before. My printing machine CP 1215 started to do strange things arround this New year. It is printing with mistake making strips on pictures printed from program MS Word. But not only that. If I try to print some picture in jpg it is printing just black all the space of picture - instead of picture.
My system is Windows 7 and I am bit suspicious that it is some software trouble because of when I connect printer to another PC with Windows Vista, there are no problems at all. But if I connect to another PC with Windows 7, it makes the same trouble.
I removed my old HP software and tried new. No changes, same trouble :-/. I was trying to find mistake in HP software for removing software troubles, nothing. I tried to print mistake page, it was printing strips.
I am sure that my printing machine is not broken as it would not be able to print with another PC without any troubles and mistakes and strips. And why it prints the same mistake with the same operation system on another PC?
I hope to find help here as I quite need that it will start to work properly.

Trouble with printing tone from Efex Pro to printer from Lightroom

I am having big trouble with a photo that was toned in Silver Efex Pro 2. When I print, the tone is not there. I have done the same kind of toning before, but never had this problem. I even tried printing a photo that had a lot of tone... not there when I print. I am pretty sure I have all the setting correct. Printing with Epson 2880, Epson Hot Press Bright, Profile for HPB, etc.
After 6 hours (really) with Epson and Adobe, the problem is not solved.

I hate to hear you are having issues. Does the printer have a valid IP address when connected via Ethernet or wirelessly? Click Here for steps to take related to this issue. Please see the below information regarding the connection types for this printer. Also I need a bit more information to proceed if the above link does not resolve the issue.
Needed information:
1. Has the installation been completed from a disk or download?
2. Did the installation software detect the networked printer?
2. What is the IP of the printer when connected with Ethernet cable?
3. Are you able to access the embedded web server for the printer (type IP into address bar of web browser, does printer web page pull)?
4. Do you have security software running on the computer?
5. Is the router running in mixed mode?
Connection information:
1. Ethernet and wireless connectivity are exclusive. If the device is hard wired with an Ethernet cable, wireless communication is voided (radio disabled) because the printer is networked with a cable.
2. Disconnecting the USB cable puts the driver in an offline state due to the fact it cannot communicate with the printer. This is normal; it basically informs the user the device is not communicating.

Trouble with print server password from mac to pc

I´m trying to print in an epson l200 connected to a pc with windows 7 but I receive the error : hold for authentication - filter failed. I´m connected to the pc troguht a wireless network at home.

Trouble with printing wireless

Can anyone help. Up until recently I have had no trouble printing wirelessly with iPad and HP photos mart B210 series. Recently it has become a nightmare.
Printing jobs are left in a que. it connects to the printer, but will not complete print task. The same problem occurs with mac book pro. Printer is connected
To router and so is iPad and MacBook. Iphone4s also a problem sending print jobs. Have spent long hours trying to sort this out .but to no avail.
Then suddenly I van print with iPad and mac book but not phone!,
What is going on!!!

Did you happen to make any changes to your WiFi network at about the time your trouble started?
I suggest you unplug your WiFi router for a few seconds. Then reset the network in your iPad and iPhone. Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will need to reconnect each to WiFi.
Is it possible you have a neighbor whose Wifi router happens to have the same name (SSID) as yours? It is possible for a printer, an iPad or a computer to jump to a different WiFi base station with the same name. This happened to me a few weeks ago when I had trouble printing. (There are a LOT of WiFi base stations out there named Linksys!)

Hello guys, Im programing a software for a parking lot in java. I need to print tickets with an EPSON U220 printer. When I print, the margins of the paper are all messed up. It seems I can only print from the half of the paper to the left. What can it be? also, when I print from notepad the same happens, half of the paper is blank and only the other half prints.
How could I solve this problem?
Where could I start reading?

Troubles with printing text document exported to pdf (edited)

Hello, I've exported a text document from pages to pdf. When I open it with adobe reader everything it's ok.
But when then I try to print the pdf file a small dots grid on the background appears on the paper sheets. Can someone tell me what can I do to make the grid disappear?

Try Print as Image (Advanced button on Print panel).

Trouble with print margins, Adobe 9.4

I am currently trying to send a 22x34 pdf to my Canon iR5055 printer. My goal is to get the pdf to print out true half size on an 11x17 sheet of paper. The problem I am having is that when I do this, the printer adds margins to all four sides of the page, making it not to scale. I have already tried manually adjusting the margins in the Adobe Crop Pages dialogue box to 0, with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Many printers have default margin areas that you can not print to. If you look those up for the printer, you could then put those in with a crop on your copy and then print. That part will still be gone, but the remainder should be scaled correct. The issue is a printer problem, where the printer does not allow any printing within a certain distance of the paper edge. Most of the time, there is no workaround to get all the way to the paper edge.

Trouble with Print Jewel Case Inserts

When I print a jewel case insert, the song list line spacing is not correct. The second line partially prints over the first and the third line partly over the second. This happens on all printed lines of the song list.
I have read that other users are experiencing this problem. In fact, it was a known problem in the past and was resolved but the current version of iTunes includes this bug again. It appears that software releases are not thoroughly tested before releasing to the public. Shouldn't there be alpha and beta testing that would catch obvious bugs?

That's exactly what's happening with me as well. Evidently a recent iTunes update caused the problem, which is with version 11.0.2.26. Since I asked my question I found a thread on the same topic that is six pages and started last December. Apparently Apple became aware of the problem initially, sent an update that fixed it, then updated again recently without the fix. Maybe they'll get around to fixing it again soon. Trouble with printing through 10.8 shared printer using lpd.

Hi, hoping someone will have had a similar issue.
I am using a OSX 10.8 mac mini as a print server. I am using it as a print server because because i have clients that print across subnets and bonjour will not work for this application. Previously with my 10.7 imac I had shared the generic printer aimed directly at the printers IP address. Client macs aim at the print server using lpd (using ip or host name) and then the printer name (share) for the queue and also use the generic ppd. When a client adds this configuration aimed at the old 10.7 print server the printer would install and printing would be succesfull. Now with the 10.8 print server a client (reguardless of client OS version) i get the "Unable to verify the printer on your network." when installing and printing fails. I have tried the proper ppd for the make/manufacture of the printer (i didnt think this would make a difference) I have tried using the cups commands as well:
cupsctl --share-printers
cupsctl --share-printers --remote-any
cupsctl 'BrowseLocalProtocols="cups dnssd lpd smb"'
assuming lpd was just not available and needed to be turned on...
I am able to ping the 10.8 on the network from clients verifying they can see the server
also have tried using ipp with no luck.
Anyone else had this issue and if so is there a work around? Thanks!

The Mini prints just fine to the printer. on a side note, I tried to add a "client" printer to the mini server. I added a printer using the ip address 127.0.0.1 (self resolving) and the que name as the share. This didnt work either. Im thinking this must be a cups setting?

Trouble with printing with windows printing via spoolss

My school has network printing that worked with snow leopard but doesn't work anymore with Lion and the IT-guys don't know how to fix this issue

Get them to enable LPR (aka Unix Print Services) on the Windows print server and you can use LPD on the Mac instead of SMB to print from the Mac.
If they won't enable LPR then you may just need to remove the printer and any previous login keychain for the SMB connection and add the queue again.

Trouble with printing. Seems to print out all hotmail email plus all frames. Can;t seem to adjust it to print normally

tman: that's the first thing I tried, but it still prints off to the left and slightly moved up. My printer is a Konica Minolta C253. My predecessor has left files on the computer that print just fine, but when I use them as a template and put my own graphics in, it works some of the time and then for no reason just decides to stop printing in the center. I think it might have to do with the positioning of the paper in the printer....?

Trouble with print quality

hi. all of a sudden my printer has started printing and copying with smuged text. the print comes our smuggled down over the line below. I have tried to change the all 4 ink cartriges. Im at a loss of what to do next. any help and suggestions will be appricated.

Trouble with Printer

I have a H P G60-519WM Laptop, with Windows7 Home Premium. It says when you plug in a printer(Lexmark Z600 serries) with a usb it will automatically install it. It says it's there, but won't print. What am I doing wrong??

Trouble with printing wirelessly to HP color laserjet 3550

I am unable to print wirelessly to my HP. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That is a non-postscript, USB printer. HP's driver is for USB only, because it bypasses CUPS (called a monolithic driver).
Easiest way to get a CUPS driver is install hpijs + foomatic + ghostscript:

Trouble with printing on Windows XP for Photosmart 6520

Ok, I downloaded the drivers on the my old desktop that runs windows XP printed a test page no problems. Went to print a regular page off of Office Word. Hangs in the printer spooler doesn't printer. Anyone got any ideas what is causing this problem. I have delated the old printer off the desktop.
