Trouble with Publishing

I have just created a new website with iweb and I can't get the home page to open. I had an old home page that I created with "homepage" awhile ago and that is the one that keeps opening. I checked the URL and it says "web.mac.com/tek0967/iweb/site/home.html" But this is my old hompage. I went into my idisk in an attempt to delete all the old files from "Site" where all the old homepage files are kept. There was nothing in it. When I go to the "web" folder in my idisk and navigate to iweb - sites - all my new iweb pages are there and the new homepage is there too. But when I publish from iweb, the old homepage still opens up. I can't and don't even know were to start.. Please help.

But when I am at the .mac page and go to
"my pages"
Why the .Mac page behaves as it does is a mystery. I would never use it for anything concerning my webpages.
When I use this url
http://web.mac.com/tek0967/iweb/site/home.html
I get the error page. If you do not, clear your browser cache.
When I try to go to
my idisk and go to "site" there are no files there
at all
You iWeb files are located in iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb, NOT in idisk/Sites.

Trouble with publishing two Folios in Apple Newsstand

Hey everybody,
i´m im trouble. I finished a magazine for a customer who wants to publish that in the apple newsstand.
The magazine is in two different languages. So i have two different folios with animations, galleries, movies etc.
We already have a apple developer account with some published apps,
and we have adobe dps single edition account. I´ve found a lot of tutorials for the publication
but i´m not shure which one is the right one or what i need
Did anyone can help me what i have to do now...
- Is there a restriction how many releases i need for the newsstand to approve?
- Is the Adobe single edition the right license for the Newsstand with more releases (two every year)?
- can i create a multiply folio app with my current account?
- is it possible to publish a folio like mine in the apple Newsstand with my current profiles and software?
- how i manage two different languages for a multi folio app? (Do i need two apps? - One for each language?)

Single Edition apps cannot be published to Newsstand.
You will need a pro or enterprise account to publish multi folio apps.

Trouble with publishing with Snow Leopard

Hello-
I upgraded to Snow Leopard a couple of days ago and everything seemed to be ok. But I started doing some updates to my webpage (hosted by mobileme) and cannot get it to publish consistently.
When I finish making changes I choose File>Publish All to Mobile Me. A window pops up and it shows it transferring files. Then the little clock icon on the top of the page list on the left begins moving. All this is normal. But it takes an extraordinarily long time to update the page changes -- if it works at all. About 75% of the time I get an error message: An error occurred while trying to publish "/Web/Sites". Try Publishing again later.
I have been trying all morning. I have restarted iWeb, and the computer, on separate occasions.
Any ideas?

I have my own domain name. i used to use cute FTP to upload. Always laborious ( but it does work) so I tried the new method direct from i-web.
Immediately worked once I had figured out how to fill in the boxes with the help of my web hosting service....that is all except for a couple of glitches that would not go away. One of the pages remained red and refused to upload. error messages galore. It actually says there is a communication error which isn't really what happened. The pages that would not upload using this method seemed to have some text issues.
I solved this initially by deleting the text and re-typing it. Same with a few of the links. I re-typed them. changed the colour etc. suddenly everything worked swimmingly.
I added new pages to update some information again everything worked.
then I upgraded to SNOW Leopard. Urggh! Busily making a new page taking an image from within i-photo. It crashed!
other posts have mentioned similar problems and suggest deleting the preferences files . go to home ( user) library- preferences and delete all the i-life preference files. Empty the trash and re-open.
Of course the i-photo library will look empty but find it again under applications i-photo and all will be well. This will iron out some of the problems associated anyway with upgrade to snow leopard. The upload time for a single page was a matter of seconds! I think you might find this helpful anyway John. Lync is not that dependent on what is stored in Active Directory, and the topology builder should recreate any missing entries when it is rerun. I don’t think this operation is a high risk
for the deployment as a whole, but do be careful when using ADSI edit, it’s all at your own risk.

I am really in trouble with AP Div-How do I fix it on the web?

I am really in trouble with my website. I have added some pictures and text on top of Fireworks Image and have published it on the website.
But the concern is, when I zoom in & zoom out, I can see the previous text on the screen and also the picture and texts I have added using Ap Div tag are scattered moving all to the left when I zoom out. Can someone help me how to fix this in one particular place so that it doesn't move when I zoom in or zoom out!!! I am using Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, if this will help.

Frankly, there's a lot that is wrong with that page:
1. Most of your content is in the images - this means that you will get very poor search engine ranking
2. Your extensive use of absolute positioning for layout - this means that when you enlarge the text size in the browser, you will have overflow problems on the page (for example, the terrible problems at the bottom of the page)
3. You have used tables for layout - this is because of your use of Fireworks to create the HTML
Each of these problems is solvable but none of them are solvable easily without a redesign of the page. A web page should be built from the top down, stacking content containers (i.e., <div>, <section>, <article>, <aside>, etc.) vertically or floating them horizontally or both. These containers would be loaded with the text content of the page, and images would be used only for cosmetic appearance. Using CSS to style/locate the content will allow you to completely move away from tables for layout. Most typical pages can be created without the use of absolute positioning which should be used only for special purposes, not for layout of the page elements.

Trouble with image sizes....

I have a freelance job where I am creating a few simple animations for a digital menu board for a Dairy Queen. I am having trouble with the size of my stage translating to the proper size on the LCD monitor. Is there a trick for making the conversion? The stage is huge and in writing is way bigger but still comes up smaller when viewed on the monitor. The monitor we are using is 768 x 1366 (or 15.5” x 27.5”) and my stage is 5100px x 7688px ( or 70"x106"). So you would think the flash file would be huge but it is too small by about 4in?!?!

those aspect ratios are different. to fill the screen, you will need to make a descision to leave space at the top/bottom, crop your stage width or distort your stage.
you can publish for 100%x100% and use the scaleMode property of the stage to select your option.

Having trouble with IMessage

Having trouble with my imessage. In "send and recieve" it says No Address, my number is greyed out so i cant select it. I have tried resetting my settings, turning my imessage and phone on and off, clicked through and altered settings, recharged credit.. everything! Still no progress, someone PLEASE help!

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having similar problems. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

Trouble with spacing of divs vertically

Hi all,
I am having trouble with CSS and vertically stacking my divs, In the following code there are a number of identical divs and I want them to stack one upon the other like in a list. At the moment I need to hit returns after each div to get below the one above and it puts way too much room in between each div doing this. I am at a loss how to do set the amount of spcae between them and also to make one go directly below the other.

IPhone 5S trouble with Go Daddy email

I have an iPhone 5S (iOS 7.1.2) but I'm having trouble with Go Daddy email (C-Panel). I've already contacted Go Daddy about the issue and spent a few hours without any luck. The Go Daddy agent was able to setup my email with no problem and said he couldn't see an issue on their side:
Issues:
1- cannot delete messages on the inbox (it states "unable to move message, this message could not be moved to mailbox trash".
2- cannot edit draft email started on Outlook. when I check iPhone, the draft is synced, but cannot edit it to send it from iPhone.
3- cannot see sent messages. If I send message from Outlook, it shows up on my sent items in iPhone. However, if I send or reply to message from iPhone, the message gets to the recipient, but I have no backup of the message because it does not show up on my Outlook or my iPhone.

2) also when i add hyperlinks to any text or image and then export the site to publish it says the hyperlinks did not work.
3) last question is when your navigating the website and scroll over for instance the 'saving bubba' article we would like to make that image clickable to navigate you directly to the article. is that possible at all and if so how would I go about doing so?

I don't use .Mac for publishing websites because of all the problems and limitations but I know that, in the past when I had problems, I would go into system preferences and set it to "auto" sync.
Go away and leave it to sleep or enjoy the Labor Day holiday - when you come back it will, invariably, have sorted itself out.
My problem is I am not a patient person!

Trouble with css background

Hey guys, I am having trouble with some code. I have nested divs inside of a container dive for the body copy, but I am having trouble with the background of the container div going behind the nested divs. I only have this issue with the background when I go to float the nested divs.

Help! Trouble with property name="jnlp.versionEnabled" value="true"/

Trouble with <property name="jnlp.versionEnabled" value="true"/> and file: protocol.
I can't get the versionEnabled flag to work with local file system URL's.
Here is code example (NanoHTTPD.java came from here -> http://elonen.iki.fi/code/nanohttpd/) :

The short answer is that e4x XML rocks!
Beyond that, consider that you are sending xml to Flex. For
any format other than e4x, Flex has to convert the xml into that
format. The precise algorithms Flex uses for this are not obvious
or published. This is why I have never liked using mx:Model. It
converts the xml into nested objects, but i have never been
comfortable predicting exactly what the resulting structure will
be.
Once you get an e4x xml node identified (toXMLString()), you
CAN predict exactly whate the data you want is going to be because
there is no conversion. And I and just very comfortable with xml.

This subject has been talked/written about a lot, after Lion was introduced. A solution from Apple has not yet been published, everybody is waiting.
Try for instance https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3734081?start=15&tstart=0, but there are more discussion groups with the same subject: frequently lost WiFi-connections in newer Macs running Lion or up.

I have been having a lot of trouble with the latest itunes update and my ipod classic 80Gb i.e. being unable to sync songs, but now i have no files at all on my ipod, it is completely blank when i view it from my computer. I need help, please, anybody.

As it says above, i have been having a lot f trouble with my ipod classic and the latest itunes update, i was unable to sync songs or anything to it and have tried every conceivable 'fix' i could find. i have run an itunes diagnostic and the results are posted below. a major problem is that when i try and view my ipod through my computer it displays nothing at all on the ipod, no files or anything, this may be the problem but i have no idea how it has happened or how i could resolve it.
This ipod holds huge sentimental value and i am loathe to buy a new one! If anybody can help it is greatly appreciated, than kyou in advanced.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.
