Trouble with Skype. Caller cannot hear me but I can hear caller. Cannot hear voice on test call. Can see caller. MIcrophone is on and volume turned up.

I do not have Mavericks running on my older MacBook Pro. During the call, do you have the microphone icon on the Skype window enabled or disabled? Have done that before.
My Skype preferences:
Microphone: Built-in Microphone (Internal microphone)
* Automatically adjust microphone settings is set
Ringing and Speakers: Built-in Output (Internal Speakers)
Camera: Built-in iSight.
System Preferences > Sound
Input tab: Internal Microphone
Output tab: Internal Speakers

Eh?
Quicktime doesn't play "muxed" video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
You need a 3rd party converter such as Videora, or MPEG Streamclip to convert the video file.
The file must meet the following specifications to play correctly.
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats.

MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats.

tryed to make an appointment on the apple website when you click iphone it dosent allow you to progress whats the point in having that when it its no use!!!

Person can't hear me but i can hear them

When using facetime on my Macbook, i can hear the person I am facetiming with, but they cannot hear me. It has worked before but they can't hear me now. All my volume settings are right for what I can tell. Please help because I can't figure it out.

I can no longer hear siri, but she can hear me. Also I can't hear my music

I have an Otter box on my iphone, dropped it in the sink (not full and only for a split second) my ringer works, but can't hear Siri, but she can hear and answer me. Can't hear music and can't hear when I put a call on speaker.

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on? Have you tried to use the phone on speaker phone to see if that works at all? Please keep us posted. Calls have been dropping out mid-call (after initially working) with full reception since upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS5 (can hear them but they can't hear me). The call initially works but then after a minute or so, they stop hearing me, even though I can hear them. Sometimes it goes the other way and I can't hear them.
Please advise how to remedy ASAP.

PS: I have had full reception bars when this has occured on a 3G network in Sydney, Australia (3 Mobile).

I ended up getting a new phone, straight through Apple. I called their technical support and went through all he basics again and they decided to replace it. Was a pretty quick process - after defaulting and resetting the whole phone (about 2 hours), I called them back to inform that there was no change, so they set up the order.
I had to give my CC# so they could hold a charge on it (in case I didn't send my old phone bach, which they sent me a pre-posted package to send it in anyway). Had a brand new iPhone 4S in my hands in 4 days, which was pretty decent. I had uploaded everything previously to iCloud, so setting up the new phone was a snap.
Only thing I really didn't like was they charged me almost 30 bucks for shipping or processing, or something. Not so sure that should have been my responsibility after spending so much on a brand new product, only to have to have it warrantied after, like, a month.

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you can connect the device with Bluetooth and make and receive calls but they dont hear you. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Nothing to hear when i was calling, only when I used loudspeaker.
complete reset and reprogrammed Iphone, same result.
Called Apple support and received a new Iphone4 next day.
Updated and programmed.
It works.
2 weeks ago My son's iphone4, same problem, could only call with loudspeaker??
Anyone an Idea.
