Trouble with viewing font on spine of Photo book. I can't find a way to view and edit the text which appears on the spine of the dustcover or the book itself when printed.
I can't find a way to view and edit the text which appears on the spine of the dustcover or the photo book itself. When I preview the book it appears on the dustcover and the book, but not when I'm back in the creation or editing windows. I've printed 4 books in a series and two spines are one font size, and two others are a different font size. One of the books has a shortened title on the book spine.
The text on the spine will be the same text that is in the Title text box on the title page. You can change the font and style of that text just like you change any text in Aperture. Aperture will size and center the spine text for you
If you want the content or the font and style of the text to be different from your Title box text then you have to trick the program a bit. Put the text that you want in the spine into the Title text box and then move that box to a place on the page where it will not be visible when printed ( Y coordinate -1.0 inches for example). Don't move it too far away or it will be hard to get back to in order to make an edit. Then make a new text box on the title page and put the text you want on the cover in that. (Or make a book without text on the cover , but with text on the spine).
You are 100% correct in that you can not preview this unless you preview the printed book

No you can not access yoru photos on iCloud
PhotoStream is a way to share photos between devices - it is not a way to backup photos or to view photos

Scanner won't work on my Hp printer and I can't find a way to view my ink level
Hello! I uninstalled HP Support Assistant, did a Windows update, installed from official site, and yet I still cannot scan from my printer (had to make a shortcut to scan from my computer), and I can't find out my ink level.
Any ideas on how I can view my ink level?

I have been going back and forth to HP site and HPSA (making sure everything is updated) but I did see that HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon is msising and HPSA advised me to to a custom install and to include that when installing. That's the icon/program to view my ink levels. But I can't seem to make that happen. Not an option for installation.
Any more ideas?

I see you have lost the ability to use the HP software to scan and check ink levels. You could continue scanning as you are now and simply download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor to check your ink levels, or you could perform a comprehensive uninstall and reinstall.
Click here to download and run the utility > HP Print and Scan Doctor
Or you can use the steps below to complete the uninstall and reinstall;
Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box, type %temp%
Delete all files and folders from the temp folder. Choose skip if any pop ups appear saying any of the files could not be deleted
Download the software and choose to save as, save to desktop > Click here, choose your operating system, click next, select the Driver Product installation Softwar...
After the software downloads and extracts, open the temp folder again, use the instructions from step 1.
Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
Open folder Util
Open folder CCC
If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box
In the Open box, type msiexec /unregister, and then click OK.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I'm picking up all of the data script related to the sending / receipt of an e-mail along with the e-mail itself and can't find a way of not showing the text. Obviusly only a command but can't find it! Help!
Shift-Command-H is the key-combo to switch 'Long Header'/'Standard Header' .

My iPhone 5s (16GB) is stuck with 3948 photos (shown on the iTunes storage bar) on and I can not find a way to delete them all! It's very annoying as it takes up 6.54 GB of space and leaves me no room to add films, music...etc on to it. Please help me!!! If they were put there via iTunes sync process, then simply untick the Music box before syncing again.

Since downloading the new operating system on my iPhone 4S, I'm having trouble with my phone messaging. I enter a number or input a number from my contacts and send my message. I then receive a error message stating the message can't be sent and it shows a set of "1s" were added in front of the number I entered. Ex: 1 (1) xxx-xxx-xxxx. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?
I realize this. When calling prepaid cus service it only gives you the option to input your #. If you dont the system hangs up on you. When I input my number the system doesnt recognize it and hangs up on me.

I am having trouble with my wife's new iPhone 5s. She can receive her telus email but can not send any email what did I do wrong in setting up her account on her iPhone? I tried to just copy the info from her old iPhone.
The sending of email is accomplished via the SMTP server. Take a moment to get back into Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars and select the account. Go to the SMTP server and check to make sure that username and password are entered in all of the appropriate places. If you cannot get it to work after trying to just change those settings, remove the account from the phone and recreate it. When recreating, make sure you enter the username and password in every location, even if the phone says optional. Make sure you have the settings from either the email provider or from the other device. Make sure that SSL is on or off as necessary.

Ooops, guess I didn't need to post everything in the title - sorry! I bought the pages app - but couldn't save or print so with some online searching found that I had to uninstall the iWork trial which had expired. I did that - but now I can't figure out how to re-install the pages app!! The app store says it's installed, but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it. I'm not very computer savvy - and am a first time Mac user and am getting extremely frustrated! I e-mailed some help center and they can't seem to help me either. I would appreciate any help/advice that can fix my problem - thanks in advance!!
OK Apple has stuffed up the demo version upgrade process so the first thing you need to do is get rid of the demo.
That includes getting rid of the files in the system.
The instructions how to do that are here:
Note That where you see / that is the sequence of folders, each nested inside each other.
User/Library/Preferences the com.apple.iwork.Keynote.plist
Means the User (you, the little home icon, whatever you are called on your computer) then the Library folder inside that and then the Preferences folder inside that.
Lion initially hides the System folders from you so you have to go to the Finder > Menu > hold down the option key and click on GO > Library to see it.

I use an Apple bluetooth keyboard with my iPad. In messages I can't find a way to "send" a message without tapping on Send on the iPad's screen. I've tried every key and key combo that I can think of. Am I missing something?
I already have multiple devices and by far I like my iPad the most over laptops and the iPad. That including checking out my friends MacBook Air.
The difference for me is the touch interface on the screen itself for things that do not require a lot of typing. For me, the iPad is more "magical" than anything else I've used.
Again, I do appreciate your answers but you don't know my situation. Not everything is as it is perceived without knowing me and what I have to go through. -
Trouble opening a just created Pages file.....error message says I need a newer version of Pages......Apple Store says I have version 5.0.......opening an older Pages file it says I have version 4.3.......can not find any way to try another upgrade to 5.0........please help......
ThanksPersonally, I would not recommend deleting/removing the iWorks 09 folder for several reasons: one is that the new versions have had several functionalities removed and until you decide that you can work with the new one and do not miss any features the older version had, I would leave the old one in place. Personally, I will not be using the new versions.
The second reason is that you can accomplish what you want using a different approach: simply open a Get Info window of your document and choose which version of Pages you want this to open in - you can also stipulate that all docs like this are opened with whichever particular version.
FWIW: Once you have edited an old document in the new Pages version, you can no longer open it in the older version. However, you can still export it to the old version. -

all but SMS is not customizable for now. but even with SMS, you can only choose from those available.

my suggestion is to set a particular ringtone for that person. OR, you can always record yourself saying that person's name, convert it to a ringtone, and use that. (if you dont know how to create your own ringtone, a quick search on this forum should help you out).

it can, you have to do it from the photo, not email tho.

If you have iOS 6, create a "shared photo stream" and share it with yourself. That photo stream should appear on your iOS device and on your PC. That photo stream should work.
