Trouble with watching video

Thank you for your informative statement.
However, I got some different problem. When I watch the videos, I could not have original colour. It seemed some RGB components had been biased and then the green color was dominant. What's happening?

  • Trouble with HD videos on Satellite M70

    HI,
I recently bought a M70-208. It seems that I experience trouble with HD video both with VLC and WMP. For example, while playing the demo video of "HDtoGo", the flow is very slow. Other non Toshiba notebook that I'm using for my job is playing this video smoothly, despite its lower configuration.
I tried different combination of Energy management, but it still the same. I can't understand what's going on.
Apart from that, this notebook makes me happy (6900 point at 3D mark05).
    Thanks for helping me.

    Hi
Maybe is my English not so good but what you mean under flow? Is there any kind of bucking while video plays?
Maybe some application in background occupied the CPU and because of that the video doesnt run well. Try to check it.
Anyway, as you said this unit has very good value on graphic test. Friend of mine has M70-257.
    Bye

  • Having trouble with the video function..

I just purchased the 60GB ipod photo. I'm transferring music files easily. However, I'm having trouble with the video function. I've loaded Itunes 6, reloaded the original setup disk, and have loaded the latest updates for the unit. I can download movies from the itunes store and save them to my library, but I cant seem to transfer the video files to the ipod. Ive reinstalled itunes and the update 6 with no success. After syncing the ipod it only shows the music files even after all that Ive tried. Additionally, there is no evidence of the video function on the main menu after the update attempts. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm eager to get past this problem so that I can start tranfering personal movies and video files.

You Have an iPod Photo, You do NOT have a 5th Generation Video iPod. Get it? You need the 5G model to play video.
If the salesman told you it was the 5G model he lied, was ignorant or both. If video is important or if thats what you thought you were getting you will need to return your 4G iPod photo for new iPod.

i am having trouble with downloading videos from my Sony HDR-XR160 video camera. iMovie doesnt open up when i connect the camcorder. any suggesions?

Looking up your camera online, I found it is capable of 1920 x 1080 Full HD 60p Recording. It's the 60p (60 frames per second Progressive) that's the problem I think. iMovie '11 will do 60i (Interlaced). You might need to convert it from the format the camera currently uses into another format to get it into iMovie. Read more about it on this link here: How to import 60p footage From that message thread comes the recommendation to use ClipWrap to convert the camera's video clips now that they are in 60p:

Use ClipWrap to rewrap to QuickTime. Import the files. Edit in either 59.94 or 29.97. The latter if you want to use the high frame rate for slomo

  • Trouble with large videos

I'm wondering if anyone has had any trouble with large videos in their stacks?  We are using a clip that weighs in at about 311 MB and my art director is reporting some trouble getting it into InDesign.
A shorter clip weighing in at 170 MB is working just fine.
    Any ideas?

That is a pretty small file for being 7 hours long.
Have you tried using interpolation and converting the hours, seconds and frames into all seconds or does that defeat the object of the composition? I have a bunch of movies taken with the same camera and some do not provide a timecode. Has been an issue for me for a while. In X.6.+ even apple created comps cause the finder and QC to crash. Hi
First have you set the Quicktime streaming setting, goto sys prefs/quicktime/streaming/streaming speed, set to 1.5mbps(dont use automatic)
In ichats prefs click on video and change bandwidth limit to NONE.
    Restart iChat.

  • Trouble with Playing Video Files

I have a new macbook pro and I am having trouble playing video files.  It seems like it is having trouble with the size of the file.  I need to get this figured out because I will be doing a lot of work with video including using final cut to edit. Any suggestions for me to speed up video play?

Any suggestions for me to speed up video play?
    Max out your ram.
It seems like it is having trouble with the size of the file.
    Please clarify.
Are the videos home made, downloaded from the net, browser videos, streaming videos, etc.

  • Having Trouble With 25fps Video in CS4

Whenever I try to play something recording in a PAL format (1080p25 to be precise). I've had sure the preset is set on 1080p25 and I have no trouble playing the video on programs that aren’t Adobe Premiere. When I try to play it in Premiere it might stick on one frame for a few seconds, then show about 1 frame every 3 seconds, then maybe stop for another 7 seconds.
Anything that’s in a NTSC framerate plays fine, but the only HD camera I have only records in 25p or 50i, so using 29.97fps isn’t an option. What’s going on here and what am I doing wrong?

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}

The camera is a Canon Legria HFM31. Not sure about the PC specs, it's a laptop my school provided. What do you need to know?
Okay, I tried the same footage with (the godawful) Windows Live Movie Maker, and it's struggles to play the video for the first 10 seconds but after that I get a smooth frame rate and can pause, play, skip ahead, etc without any issues.
I tried with an interlaced video, and its fine in Adobe Premiere! What's going on here? Does Adobe just not like PAL prog scan videos?

  • Problems with watching videos

For some reason my 2gen touch dosent want to play videos anymore, I know they are supported cause they are quick time videos and my ipod used to play them but now all i get is a page with a bunch of codes. number and letters instead of a video playing. Does anyone know why this is happening? My ipod is up to date

I am having a similar problem but with watching the video on my TV, the connection cable (brand new-yellow/white/red connections) are suddenly not "compatable" with my iPod.... I was halfway through watching the movie and suddenly it stopped playing and that message came up on my iPod screen.... anyone else have this issue?? Solutions anyone?

  • Problems with watching video content in Safari

After updat to Lion, I have problems watching video conent on webpages with Safari. On some pages it doesn't work at all while at other it stops intermittently. I have tested same pages with Chrome without having problems. Who can help with this annoying problem.
In addition there is an involuntary zoom while reading page in Safari
WhileI am typing in text or Safari ther is also an involuntary switch to in finder there is an involuntary to Launchpad.
Does anybody else encounter similar problems, and if so how did you solve this?

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that flash is more hassle than
it's worth. It's just so unbelievable to me that such a widely used
technology on the Web still has no way to be used in a validated
XHTML document! It's really quite absurd actually! I tried
uploading my original flash heading (without the satay method that
is) and it looks fine in Safari. The down side is that all my pages
now contain errors when I try to validate them as XHTML 1.0 Strict.
I guess that unless someone can help with another alternative
to the satay method that actually works across all the main
browsers, I'm just going to have to have pages that won't validate.
    How incredibly disappointing...

  • Premier Pro CS4 having trouble with HDV video

Recently I had a video shot with an HD camera and use the HDV codec. I couldnt even open these files in Adobe Premier - until someone was able to install Final Cut Pro on the computer (assumin FCP came with some sort of codec). I just dont know how to use final cut pro - but that program seems to have no problems with this video file.
So im trying to edit it using Premier PRO - but the video is very delayed - almost in slow motion. Does anyone know what i can do? I really need to make some simple edits to this video and then render it out as an FLV - i dont have time to learn final cut pro before this needs to be done.
Any information or tips would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    amanda

    Amanda,
It would appear that you are on a Mac. I'm not sure if G-Spot will run on a Mac, unless you also have some form of Windows system on it, i.e. Bootcamp, or similar. You might get info on this from the G-Spot site.
If it will not run, you'll be missing a wonderful tool. Instead, open QuickTime Player. Load one of these files. Hit Ctrl-j (Command-j on the Mac, I think) to get to the Properties screen. Look there to find out the CODEC's used in these files. Let us know about them. I do not know FCP, but it probably has a built-in Properties utility, that might yield more and better info on the files, that QT Player will. Would be worth a look and a try.
You are probably correct that it's a CODEC issue and that FCP has access to the proper one. It could well be that PrPro cannot even use that one, but until we find out what it is, we'll not know.
BTW, what make and model of camera?
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Trouble with streaming videos

Recently since the last patch i downloaded for quicktime, my internet browsers have been pretty messed up when trying to view streaming videos or anything flash like youtube videos and such.
at times, it works fine and then most of the time when i wanna see something it gives me the Q with a question mark, and i have no idea how to make it work.
    please help.

You more or less answered your own question by stating the difference between your MB and your husbands. More RAM (memory) will improve the amount of video capability for your MacBook. Your model of MacBook uses shared memory for video and you really don't have enough to share for the streaming video that you're trying to watch. I would increase your RAM to the maximum of 2GB. The spinning sound that you here is probably your hard drive spinning and by increasing your RAM you will resolve this issue as well. -GDF

  • Help Needed Badly. Troubles with exporting video...

Hello, I created this account pretty much just for this problem, and I'm running under a very tight timeline so please if someone could give me an answer it would be very much appreciated. I have spent 8 hours over the past two nights as well as 4 hours today reworking, trying different things and combing the online community for any others experiencing these problems and/or solutions, so I am extremely stressed and tired if you could bare with me. So here it is:
I am editing and compiling a theatre production into a movie. I shot the show three times using a Canon HV30, imported the footage on a school computer (iMac, using iMovie '06), exported it in quicktime onto an external HD, brought it onto my computer (which, stupidly, has no firewire). The total file size was 7 hours of footage (85GB), and as a result my HD has about 300MB left on it, and has been excruciatingly slow. I have finished editing the movie, and I am now attempting to share it. All of the sources I have read tell me to share it in Media Browser, which will be accessible from iDVD. I attempted this many times, however I received multiple different error messages, only after watching it 'working' for 4 hours. Some have said that there was no virtual memory left (even after emptying the cache), some said that there wasn't enough HD space left, the exporting had encountered an error, error messages -50, -49, -48, and -47, and the most prominent one that I have been receiving told me that there had been a "parameter error" or something.
After researching online, I found that the '-50' error messages had to do with exporting to a MSDOS HD, which made sense because I was attempting to export to my iPod (formatted in Windows). My latest efforts have been trying to export it onto my HD, which is formatted for OSX, and has 350GB left on it. And yet, all of the problems persist (including error -50...?) any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated, as the DVD was due two days ago.

+"Alright, so I moved over the footage and deleted it off the internal..."+
Did you move the Events using iMovie? If not, the project pointers become invalid, and you would get the error you did. While moving the event using iMovie, you don't need to "delete" anything!
Couple of options for you to recover from this.
A> (Slower) Move the Events back to the internal HD, and use iM to move the Event to the Ext HD.
B> (Faster, but convoluted) Create an alias for the specific Event folder (now on your ext HD/iMovie Events folder) under your local HD's iM Events folder. IM will now be able to "see" the files on the internal HD, even though they're stored on the Ext HD.
From the Help File: "To keep an item at its original location and put an alias for it in a new folder, hold down the Command and Option keys while you drag the item."
Sorry you're having to jump through hoops to get this working...

  • I am having trouble with a video.  I have tried to copy it to a flash drive because it is too big to fit on a DVD, it says it is too large for the volumes format.  Please advise.

I have done many DVD's for seniors for graduation so I am familier with Imovie.  I have just finished a projec that is a combination of video, music and stills.  I shared it through idvd.  Now I can't burn it to a dvd because it is too large.  It is too big even for a two sided disk.  I have researched it and i find that blue ray would be big enough.  Does apple offer  blue ray burner?  if so, what is the cost?  I tried another route and took my external hard drive to copy it to a PC.  there computer wouldn't recongize my drive.  I am assuming it is because it is formated for apple.  I tired copying it to a flash drive and and it says that it can't be copied because it is too large for the volume's format.  Suggestions?   PLEASE!!!!!

Could the video be too big because of using too high a resolution?   480p is sufficient for a DVD.  the thread at:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5868958?tstart=30
    may be of help.
Apple does not support Blue ray - you have to use a thrid party application like Toast.
To transfer the video to a PC you need a FAT-formatted hard drive (or of course a sufficiently big memory stick).
You could also go via a network, via the cloud (eg Dropbox) or with 'Wetransfer" or similar.
    Geoff.
