Troubles with import huge twin databases to PowerPivot

Hi everyone,
I would be really greatful if someone could help me to solve the following problem:
we have monthly tables with data concerning deposits (each file is about 20-30 Mb and contains about 170 000 rows)/ there are such tables for each month from january 2012 till now on (each month new table appears). How can I create a united table, containing
all the data, in PowerPivot? Is copy-paste the only method? :-) (we also tried union quiery in PowerPivot when importing data, but it doesn't work with more than 2 tables, and unfortunately PowerPivor seems not to "see" union quieries in
Access.
Thanks for help!!

Hello,
You could use the free Power Query for Excel to merge several data sources or to append data to an existing sheet:
You can get it here:

  • Having trouble with imports never finishing

    I am having trouble with imports that never finished. It is almost like the pictures are stuck on one image. the only way to get out of Iphoto is to force quit. The next time I open, there are a number of images that still need to be imported, but the import never finishes and seems to stop at the same image. When I go to close down I get the message that Photos are being imported to the library.
    Anyone have any suggestions.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Check out your iPhoto library and make sure all photos are viewable and there. Force quitting when iPhoto is working can corrupt the database file, Library6.iPhoto. Make a backup copy of it and save in another folder.
    First make a backup copy of your iPhoto Library folder. Now download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, substituting your account name for mine. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field. Open iPhoto and see if it will work OK.
    If not, launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select all options.
    Lastly use iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild the library. Here's how:
    Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
    Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
    Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
    In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
    Note: It can take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. One user reported that with a library of about 5,000 images it took about 12 hours so plan ahead.
    Do you Twango?

    You can't do it in one step. Add to iTunes first, Once the tracks are in iTunes you may convert to a different format.

  • Trouble with imported sound also going to IDVD

    I imported some video and it was fine...then I imported another clip and placed it in front of the first clip. Suddenly that first clip has no sound. It is on the same audio track and the volume is clicked. i can hear the second clip fine.
    Also...I have a great deal of trouble with the digital tape looking fine on the camera, but then all jumpy and the picture is all digital screwy when its imported to imovie.
    When createing a new IDVD project, is there anyway to create a new on rather than just opening up the last one I was working one? That feature is all annoying and cause me to create duplicates of the work, eating up my precious space!

    I would honestly like to know why it would not work to just use the exported video from FCE into iDvD, there should be no aspect change in my case. The source in in 720x480. I also would have thought that FCE would be set up to transfer to dvd since much of what is done will need to be shown on that format?
    Anamorphicizer did not work for me!!
    myDvdedit I have not tried yet as looks to be too many steps to be practical.
    I suppose I will try QTpro.
    Any thoughts?

  • Is XSLT with import/include on database side supported?

    Hi
    I use server side (Oracle 10.2) XSL transformation (in particular DBMS_XSLPROCESSOR package) with source XML and XSLT files stored as XMLType columns. It works Ok. However I did not manage to get it working when importing spreadsheets into XSLT files like this:
    <xsl:import href="generic-elem-to-csv.xslt"/>
    Does Oracle database support Stylesheets with Include and Import to transform XML files on database side?
    Thanks,
    Vlad

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you had problems to import the SharePoint SP1 environment site library to SharePoint SP2 environment.
    Alex is right, now we could not import the site from the lower version to the earlier version directly since SharePoint 2010 SP2.
    If you wanted to import the library to the new environment, you should first upgrade the SharePoint environment to the SP2, then export the library.
    Now you can import the library without the issue.
    Thanks,
    Jason

  • Step by Step with with Import full in database infrastructure

    Hello everybody.
    I have a full export with SYS username (Database Infrastructure.- version 9204). I dont have physical Backup.
    I need restore my database infrastructure.
    I have a problem when imported in the new database (version 9204).
    What are the steps to restore the database from an export full? It is possible?
    Thanks for advance.

    Completing a contract does not magically unlock the device.
    Put the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore as new again.  If it still will not unlock, send it back to your brother to sell to someone in the US that can use it on AT&T or take to Apple for evaluation.

  • Issue with IMPORT/EXPORT to database INDX

    There is an include program 'MMCP6F02' in which the user exit 'ZXSOPU11' is called and this happens soon after the below code which passes a table to INDX..
          EXPORT CE_SXYZ TO DATABASE INDX(BB) ID 'PDATA'
                             USING INDX_LIS_EXPORT4.
    In the user exit, I am trying to read the above table entry with the following code
          IMPORT CE_SXYZ = IS_SXYZ_U FROM DATABASE
                           INDX(BB) ID 'PDATA'.
    But this does not seem to fetch any data even though the declarations are the same. But when the same IMPORT is used again in the include program, right after the call to user-exit, it fetches the values.
    IMPORT CE_SXYZ = IS_SXYZ_I FROM DATABASE
    INDX(BB) ID 'PDATA'
    USING INDX_LIS_IMPORT4.
    Can someone please help me out to solve this issue?

    I have an open OSS-Call at the Moment regarding this issue. SAP wants to make me believe that the coding in SAP Note 703770 would help, but it does not.

  • Trouble with sending huge arrays via DataSockets.

    Hi,
    I am having trouble sending huge arrays via Data Sockets from my main vi on the server PC to the vi on the client PC.
    To further elaborate, in my main vi program I have created 3 arrays called Array1, Array2 and Array3 on my front Panel. By right clicking the mouse on each set of array and from the pop-up menu I selected Data Operations-> DataSocket Connection and I entered dstp://localhost/Array1 and clicked on Publish to broadcast the data from Array1. Similarly, I did the same for Array2 and Array3.
    Now, in my client vi program I have created three arrays on my front Panel to read (Subscribe) the data from the three arrays broadcasted via DataSockets from the server’s main vi program. To subsc
    ribe the data I did the similar process above and clicked on Subscribe to read the data (of course the IP address of the client PC will be different then the server PC so enter the hosts IP address). Once the data is received in the client arrays, I am using LV2 globals so that I can use these arrays on other sub-vi’s locally (instead of having each sub-vi get data from the server directly).
    I succeeded in doing this with two arrays, however when I added the third array the DataSockets would not work consistently. For example the refresh rate would get slower at times and sometimes 2 out of the 3 arrays would update. I don’t know if I have exceeded the limit on how much data DataSockets can broadcast, but I need to have some mechanism to broadcast 6 arrays (approx. 10000 elements for each array) of double digits precision.
    Has anyone come across this issue? Is there another way of broadcasting data more efficiently then DataSockets?
    I would appreciate any
    help that I can get.
    I have attached the files for this program in the zip file.
    First run the Server main program, testServeMainVI.vi, and then the client program, testClientMainVI.vi.
    Thanks

    DataSocket can be a lossy communication. I like the advice to flatten the data to a string, but another option would be to buffer the communcation. The problem might be that the data is being overwritten on the server faster than it is being read. There is an example of buffered datasocket on NI web page: http://venus.ni.com/stage/we/niepd_web_display.DISPLAY_EPD4?p_guid=BA3F9DFED17F62C3E034080020E74861&p_node=DZ52000_US&p_submitted=N&p_rank=&p_answer=&p_source=Internal
    Also, I have played with the new built in buffered datasocket in LabVIEW 7.0. It is pretty slick. If buffers the data both on the server and the client side.

  • Trouble with import to LR4 from 5DmkIII. Intermittent.

    I am having trouble importing raw file from my Canon 5D mkIII to Lightroom 4.
    It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.
    When it fails, I get a list of the files that failed to import displayed on the screen.
    It often imports a few files and then fails to import the rest.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Scott.

    Thanks for your quick reply.
    I never use a card reader... I think I have one somewhere, so may try that.
    I never import to the local drive, so don't want to start that. Have been using LR for about 4 years, this problem is quite recent.
    I'm importing right now, but using a 5DmkII. It seems to be working a lot better so far. This would indicate that the 5DmkIII was the issue, but as it's not a constant problem, I didn't think it was the camera.
    I think that the 5DmkIII struggles more with the higher capacity cards. 64GB is a nightmare. 32GB is not much better. 8GB seems ok.
    The IMPORT screen used to open automatically when I plugged in my camera, but it doesn't any more. Not sure if that is somehow related.
    Scott.

  • Help with importing huge photo collection

    Hello,
    my brther switched to Mac and want to use iPhoto. His pohoto collection is about 40GB and many, many folders and subfolders. The structure of the folders and subfolders are like this example:
    -X-mas     ->2009
                   ->2010
                   ->2011
    Moto-trip  ->Germany 2008 -> My photos
                                            -> Toms photos
                                            -> Mikes photos
                   ->Switzerland 2009     -> My photos
                                                    -> Brothers photos
    etc...
    Is there some possibility (maybe some script or 3rd app) of how to import all this pictures and for example automaticaly create Albums with subfolders in iPhoto?
    Importing each subfolder would take days...
    Any idea?
    P.S.: He uses Mountain Lion and the latest iPhoto.

    The structure you outline here is one for Files and not Photos. Using that structure in iPhoto is a bit pointless as it remains as limited in iPhoto as it is in the Finder.
    iPhoto offers much more varied organisational opportunities, leveraging data that the file browser doesn't even know about - such as Exif and IPTC.
    For Instance: anything date-based is done automatically based on the date and time of the Exif metadata in the Photos. So, Events are made this way, automatically. You can search by date using Smart Albums or the Calendar search in the search box: Therefore can easily find all the photos from any specific day, month, year, or in any time range using one of these tools.
    If, in the example above, Tom and Mike have different cameras, then again you can sort these from each others with a simple Smart Album.
    Next: Albums hold Photos. There is no such thing as a subfolder in Albums. You can have Folders. They can contain Albums nested Folders, which can also contain Albums.
    As for importing  folder tree: there's some stuff here that might help
    http://www.macworld.com/article/1139658/iphotoimport.html
    but I don't believe that there is any way to create a folder and move an Album into it.

  • Trouble with adding images from database

    So I have created this nice little table and want to populate it with an test row and I cant seam to get it to work. I have neber delt with BLOB before and maybe its with that. Well here is the sql code that I am using
    CREATE TABLE Product (name VARCHAR2 (60), price INTEGER,discrip VARCHAR2(100),photo BLOB, quantity INTEGER)
    INSERT INTO Product VALUES ('Inuyasha Final Act', 39.52, 'Join Inuyasha and Kagome as they continue their quest to find the jewel of the four souls and defeat Naraku.', 'INUFinalAct.JPG');
    Did I not put in the images right? how should I load this into the database?
    It creates the table nice and dandy, but it will not populate the table at all. What am I doing wrong here?
    Thanks for any help

    Thanks for the advice I went and changed thing around a bit

    VALUES ('Inuyasha Final Act', 39.52, 'Join Inuyasha and Kagome as they continue their quest to find the jewel of the four souls and defeat Naraku.', 'INUFinalAct.JPG', 15);
    This seams to have no SQL error, but when I try to put it into the oracle server, it gave this problem
    ERROR at line 2:
    ORA-01465: invalid hex number
    Is this because it does not know where the image is? If that is so how do I get it to know where the image is?It's worse than that... Oracle doesn't even know it's an image.
    All Oracle knows is that you have a column of BLOB datatype, which can be used for storing any type of binary data, not just images, and you are trying to insert something of datatype VARCHAR2 into it (a string with some characters in). That string may be the name of the image to you, but to Oracle it's just a string.
    Follow hoek's link for good examples of how to do it, as it involves you using other functionality first to read the binary file from the file system into a BLOB variable, before you then insert that BLOB variable into your table.

  • Much trouble with imports - please help!

    Very frustrated here! When I put a CD into my computer drive, nothing happens at all. It's not recognised, not only in iTunes but in My Computer too. This has happened for a while. When, very occasionally, I find that the CD is recognised by iTunes only the first few seconds/minutes are recorded or the real time is overridden by something like 782:34:23 and the song doesn't play at all. I know others have had this problem too, but I just wanted to post my CD diagnostic in the desperate hope that anyone out there has a solution or suggestion.
    I have re-installed iTunes and suchlike but this doesn't help so I assume it's something clever and technical that I have to do...
    Anyway here's the diagnostic:

  • Trouble with importing .NEF files, help please?!?!

    I am trying to import my .NEF files into Lightroom and keep getting a message that pops up stating "The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom.".  I have never had a problem importing .NEF files before.  Does anyone know why I keep getting this message?  Help, please and thank you!

    Either the NEF files are from a camera newer than your LR version – each camera must be supported explicitly, OR your NEFs have been corrupted by using new camera NEFs with older Nikon software.
    So either upgrade your LR to a new version or stop using obsolete Nikon software with your NEFs.  You can use the following utility to fix the corrupted caused by obsolete Nikon software:

  • Trouble with Importing from Canon 6d

    Hi,
    When I try to import from my Canon 6D (RAW), it shows all the previews, but will only successfully import a handful of the photos. I get a dialog box saying that the files cannot be read. If I turn off the camera, then try again, it imports just a few more. Finally, after 3 or 4 attempts, all the photos are imported. Any suggestions? Thank you!
    (I'm on a Mac, OS 10.7.5, LR5. Also, I have checked the permissions for the destination folder, and it is allowed for both read/write.)

    Something is interfering with the transfer of images to your computer that works for most other people.  It could be anything from and in between the camera and the computer hardware.
    These alternatives for how to get the images to your computer and into LR are ways to troubleshoot where the issue is, and ways to get things going until you do figure out what the problem is.
    Another suggestion would be to clear your card of images after things have been imported.  It sounds like LR is having to look through a lot of extra images that are already duplicates and with your iffy transfer setup, not a lot of actual images make it through each time before the transfer fails.
    If things worked ok with LR3 and now aren’t working with LR5, then what has changed is Adobe uses different OS-level functions to transfer images and some of those newer functions may be susceptible to different things.
