Troubles with Spaces & Adobe CS

I love spaces but have been having some issues with the CS. All applications work correctly with spaces. If an application is open in it's set window and I am working in another, a command-tab will not only switch applications but the spaces as well. Same thing goes when you open an application while in a space not assigned to the app, you will be transfered to the correct one and it will open.
I am assuming this is how it is suppose to work.
However, with the Adobe CS, it doesn't work at all. I can open them in any space despite having assigned a specific one in the system preferences. It's getting pretty old and I can't figure out why this is happening.

I am having trouble with my adobe reader. I am not able to access my report I am supposed to be working on that is time sensitive. I have had tech support for 2 days trying to trouble shoot. They have done all they can do and told me to call Adobe. I cannot find an number anywhere.

RMAN having trouble with spaces in file names.

RMAN is complaining if cmdfile and log file names have space in them (even if they are quoted). This test is done on windows with 10g.
cmd> rman target / cmdfile rcmd.txt
This works fine. However,
cmd> rman target / cmdfile "E:\test dir\rcmd.txt"
complains about syntax. Something like:

I got response from oracle support folks on this. Looks like two levels of quotes are required to make it work.
Something like:
cmd> rman target / cmdfile "'E:\test dir\rcmd.txt'"

'tis a moot point, if you're looking to install or download Flash Player, because you can't, with Android. There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer comaptible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.
Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store.

Trouble with my Adobe Web Premium license

I asked for assistance a couple of weeks ago, and got an answer that 1/2 way solved my problem. So I'm looking for help to get me all the way there.
For background, my original issue was:
I recently purchased a new Macbook Air. My other computer is a Mac Mini - and I have a purchased (and licensed) version of Adobe Web Premium 5.5 on that machine. I want to put this software on my new laptop - which does not have a CD/DVD drive.
I went to my Adobe account to view order history - but there's nothing there. In My Products, my license shows up - but I can't figure out how to download it to my laptop.
I got an answer - and was able to get the software installed on my laptop (via the 30-day trial download). But it's just a 30-day trial.
SO HERE'S WHAT I STILL NEED HELP WITH:
When I tried entering my serial number after downloading, I received a message that the serial number was not valid. I entered the serial number in my Adobe account (viewing "My Products").
Any idea how I get my software registered on my new laptop? I think I should be able to have my software registered on both my home machine and my laptop, is that correct?

This seems to be a bit confusing as a lot of software versions and softwares (suites versus individual products) are involved here. Lets simplify this.
As per your account registration details you've registered the serial number for Web Premium CS5 (this is the only serial number regisetered on your account) and not Web Premium CS 5.5.
Also per the link you mentioned above you've installed CS5.5, however you mentioned you've downloaded CS5. This is most probably why you're getting the serial number error.
Uninstall CS5.5 from your system, download CS5 from here and then try to install it.

ATTN: Adobe-Admin Troubles with the Adobe Forums

Received an email from an Adobe Partner. See message below:
I am not sure who to contact to get help with this issue, but we are unable to reply to or post new content to the Adobe Forums. (http://forums.adobe.com).
We can enter the text for the topic, but the field to enter the body of the content is read only. We can't click in it or type in it. This is when creating a new discussion, or responding to an existing thread. When creating a private message, We can type in the title and content, but when we submit, it deletes all the content and says that the body can't be empty.
In each of these cases, we have tried it on multiple machines, with multiple accounts. Both Windows/Mac, XP/Windows 7, Internet Explorer/Firefox/Chrome. Same results in every case. We have also ensured that browser add-ons like AdBlock are not installed.
We would appreciate some direction on how to resolve this issue.

That is an account / computer based problem, not a problem all users of the forums are experiencing. Those different computers / accounts wouldn't all be in the same domain behind the same proxy server or with the same virus scanner installed, would they?

Teething troubles with Using Adobe Captivate

Hello I have never used Adobe Captivate before, and would be grateful for some answers. I know people are very busy and may not want to deal with beginners but any comments suggestions partial tips will be gratefully appreciated
I am trying to do screen recording and run into difficulties. I want to record a short (<10min) video of an instructive tutorial that plays on the internet. This tutorial has slides, and it is advanced by hand (manually) to the next slide
I was able to record video correctly, using the "Full Motion" mode. But when I use the other 2 available modes: I.e,Automatic, and Manual, I am not able to record. What happens it, I merely get a still picture upon playback, that runs as a video for 3 seconds. It turns out somewhere in "settings" there is a default which says slide length =3sec. It looks like what I am getting recorded is a single slide, containing the very 1st scene. What have I done wrong?

All I can say is... wow! I'm not sure where you live, but it sounds sort of "stuck in time" if you are really made to feel like an outcast just because your body has different parts.
All that aside, I'll take a stab at answering your questions.

The only thing you have done wrong is to misunderstand how Captivate is used to record screen activity. How successful you will be will depend on the version of Captivate you have installed as well as what your operating system is. For example, if you have Windows 7 64 bit and you are trying to use Captivate 4 (or earlier) you will likely encounter problems. But if you were using Windows XP you would likely be fine.
You may also be misunderstanding exactly how Captivate records the screen.

I'm not sure I've ever seen ANY software that does a flawless job of recording screen video where you are playing a video clip. You have to understand that video is usually memory and processor intensive. Not only for recording it, but also for playing it back. If you can, you will likely achieve your best result by locating the actual source file for the video and using that with Captivate. However, this somewhat depends on your Captivate version.
Also what is panning
Panning is a feature that allows you to record a smaller area of your screen. As you move the cursor around, the recording area is shifted to include parts of the screen that maybe weren't in the recording before. Maybe you are recording a 200x200 sized area. You are in the upper left corner of the screen performing some activity such as opening the File menu. But you move the mouse over to the right side to scroll the page. The recording would look as if you were peering through a small window and the larger area that was formerly hidden would appear in the window.

Trouble with Preview/Adobe: corrupt Finder cache???

hello!!
I posted this question in the Appleworks forum, and later under Finder and Dock Forum here. I thought that the issue was resolved, but this is not so.
here is the problem.
I prefer Acrobat to Preview, to work on PDF documents. Therefore, I have, on multiple occassions, selected the PDF documents, and "open with" Adobe Acrobat" and "Change ALL".
However, almost every time (but not ALL the time) I log out and come back, the default changes to the Preview. As good as Preview is, the idea that my MacBook Pro is misbehaving is annoying.
Then I did the following.
1. Select on the file such as pdf.
2. Right click and select the command Open with.
3. To change the default application. Select Other...
4. Then select the Adobe application and check the Always open with button.
Even this did not solve the problem. When I log back in, the default application for PDF had changed to Preview Not always however)
Then I was told that I may have a corrupt Finder cache and that I ought to address my question here.
At this point, I was told:
Try using a utility called Yasu to fix the problem. You can download Yasu at http://jimmitchell.org/projects/yasu/
I did so, and for 2-3 days now, there were no problems. And now, all of a sudden, I have the same problem.
I have NOt done anything unusual with my MBP. In fact, last night, a pdf document was opened with Adobe. And then I restarted the MBP now, and, it is all back to Preview.
What ought I do?

Sorry! I was away.
Well. i am using Adobe Acrobat 7 pofessional. It had worked fine in my previous MBP that got stolen.
As I said, after having done everything that youhad suggested I failed to get the default on Acrobat, by clicking on the application in the get info panel. The only way to change that was to select change all.
Then I logged out, shut down, and restarted today. Same story. My Pdf defaulthad changed to Preview. In addition, I noted that some of the .doc files are now meing opened with textedit, instead of Word. Even the Word icon had disappeared, but this seem tohave affected only some doc files and notall.
I am clueless as to what to do now!!!
any moer ideas short of reinstalling?

Trouble with several Adobe Apps

For the past several days, I've been getting the following error message when I try to start several of my Adobe CC Applications:
"The procedure entry point _Atomic_fetch_sub_4 could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCP110.dll"
I've seen a few suggested fixes for "Missing MSVCP110" issues, but they have not helped me. The applications affected are Bridge, Audition, and Illustrator. Some of my other Adobe apps start OK, but then crash immediately. However, they seem to work OK once restarted. These continuous problems are driving me crazy, so any help would be very much appreciated.

i've made a catalogue of mistakes. I've had an Overdrive app for ages to access library books which was great but this is what happened-
1. Suddenly a message kept coming up each time I logged in saying Adobe acct ........... is saved in your overdrive acct do you want to deauthorise or authorise. I kept clicking on authorise but thought it might be better to deauthorise and authorise it properly in settings. I tried this but my Adobe ID didn't work- nothing came up to say it was wrong but I kept getting thrown back to the authorisation screen and could not get any further or download books. I did check my password was okay by signing into my Adobe account and it was the only one I had which I had used when I upgraded to I.o.s.7 and it was fine.
I tried logging in and out, resetting my overdrive acct and eventually deleted the overdrive app and then reinstating it but nothing worked.
2. I decided if I got a new Adobe acct using my google email address then authorising the Adobe reader through this might work. However. It all seemed to go well I created the account then put all the details into my overdrive acct. thought this was going well but I got a message as I tried to download a book 'fulfil code 2004' , saying another ID could not be used. I'm now stuck it won't allow me to try my original ID.
Can anyone help help me out of this mess and can I delete an Adobe ID once created please?

I am having trouble with the Adobe CC and the Premiere Pro.

I have clicked to install it so I could test it, so far so good. After downloading and installing it through the Adobe CC, I can't find it and can't open it. If i click on the Premier logo nothing happens and I can't find it installed anywhere on my pc! The only place where I see it is on the bit to uninstall programs, and when I try to do so, it says 'uninstalling error.' How do I sort this out??

Hello, I'm currently in the process of downloading the last of my CS6 web design and premium which consists of; Dreamweaver,Flash,Photoshop,Fireworks,Illustrator,Acrobat X,Indesign- Everything downloaded just fine except indesign and acrobat. The extension manager just keep downloading , its been 3 days--and I've had this problem for awhile and had not had the time to download etc.--Does anyone know what is wrong--can I download indesign and acrobat without the adobe extension manager etc.----????

Trouble with Safari - Adobe CS4

Hello, i'm a graphic designer and sometimes i have to run Photoshop and Illustrator CS4 at same time, by the nature of my work i always need to be connected.
The problem comes when i'm running both CS4 Apps and safari because when i open a new tab in Top Sites screen, the computer freezes instantly and takes a while (1-2 minutes aprox) to open the tab and stabilize the system.
When the computer is unstable i can't do anything (like cmdaltesc to close safari) my question is:
Does any1 have the same problem or its only me?
The first time i though it was a isolated problem, but it always happen when i'm running both CS4 apps...
Do i need to get my MacBook Pro to the service center?

Your C2Duo Mac with 4GB ram is more than sufficient to run both CS4 apps and Safari. Unless there's a problem with the ram itself, have Activity Monitor running when you launch both CS4 apps and Safari and see what the CPU is running at and how much ram is available. Then open a new Tab and try and see what happens in AM when the freezing occurs. Report back.
