Im having problems uploading pictures onto websites other than fb. I'm not even given the option to click on upload image from my iPad 2. Does anybody else have this problem?

It's not a feature of iPad. There is a free app called Ptoobucket you can download from the App Store (a free app btw), which will let you to this.......

Problem with uploading pictures

i just got my ipod classic 160gigs and i tried to upload pictures with my laptop (hp windows vista), it loads a while but then it suddenly shut off my laptop, i tried it many times but still the same problem...what will i do??im afraid my laptop might destroyed if i continue using this ipod...

Your laptop just turns off when syncing with your iPod, even when connected to power? Is it possible that there is something wrong with the laptop (maybe power issues when using a USB device). Have you connected any other devices to your computer/has your computer done this in any other situation?
I hesitate to blame the laptop (and I am no software/hardware expert), but I find it difficult to understand why an iPod or iTunes would cause a laptop to just shut off. I'd think something is wonky with the laptop.
Does the problem occur when just syncing music/video? Have you tried contacting HP support as well?

"Updating Library" - problem with uploading pictures

I have been trying to upload pictures and when I go into photos it says "updating library" and it's been trying for at least an hour. I've tried uploading only 15 pictures and still nothing. I also have the issue with the size. Do I need to resize before upload? If so how and in what dimensions? Need help!!

Theree is no need to resize photos, the computer will do that before transferring.
Try force quitting the photo app on the iPad by holding the sleep wake button until you see the slide to power off screen. Then hold the home button until you are back at the home screen and try open the photos app again.

I often proof my work in preview then edit images in photoshop and rename from there. The dsc images are renamed to correlate the name of the class etc. i.e. dcs_001 is saved as the file name required 7A.jpeg etc.
The file names are required to correlate what is what and so on..........

Trouble with Sunset pictures posterizing in iMovie & iDVD

I have sunset photos taken in Aruba with a Canon EOS 40 D camera shot in RAW at high resolution. I use Photoshop CS4 to print, use iPhoto 9, Aperture 2 and Lightroom 2 for slideshows, and they all look great; however, when I bring a picture into iMovie and/or iDVD because I want to burn a DVD with music, all of the sunset photos become posterized, but any other photos appear fine. Sunset pictures are not posterized in iPhoto 9, Aperture 2, Lightroom 2, and even Adobe Premiere Elements in Windows XP. What is happening and how do I avoid this? The only way I have found is to desaturate the photos, but then they do not look like a sunset picture and it defeats the purpose. Your help is appreciated.

Yes. I have tried the highest quality JPEGs, and when that did not work I also tried Tiffs. It did not seem to make any difference. Thanks for your question. I thought perhaps it was an export problem from iPhoto, etc., so I then just tried dragging the photos into iMovie and/or iDVD. That did not help either. It appears both programs compress the files when they are opened. I am hoping there is a workaround for it.

Trouble with icloud pictures on my mac

I have pictures that I tranfered from my iphone to my mac before I started using icloud and photostream. Now that I have used icloud for the past few months all of my pictures taken with my phone is directly transeferred to my mac in iPhoto. I want to put the old pictures that was never in icloud in icloud so that I have all my pictures on one place. I select the pictures and choose to add them to icloud, but there is something wrong. Pictures from march, may and june 2013 just disappear from icloud. i know there is a limit of 1000 pictures per hour, but there is only about 500-600 pictures. I am very confused and I hope some of you understand what I am talking about.

To avoid the time and size limits in My Photo Stream I suggest you create a Shared Photo Stream from your Mac with the photos.

Trouble with uploading videos...

I tried uploading homevideos from My Videos in my pc to my video iPod. While in the process[of uploading] it says on the screen that my iPod is not able to play my homevideos.
I was wondering if it has anything to do with the format(?) my videos are in.Help.

If you're receving an error that says the files were not transferred to your iPod because they are unable to be played on the iPod, it could be because of the format of the file, or the bit rate, or both.
This article will supply you with the information you need regarding which file types and bit rates are supported on the iPod and iTunes. It also provides links to information on how you can convert the files to something compatible for your iPod.

I'm having trouble with uploading two documents to iCloud from pages.

On my iPad2, two documents continue to have the blue 'updating' bar at the bottom and Pages continues to say "updateing 2 items" with the little spnning wheel. I've got plenty of space available both on the iPad and iCloud. Other documents are uplaoding just fine. The two documents are between 4 and 5 pages of text only. Any ideas?

The easiest way to set up to most provider routers is to set up the time capsule to bridge mode with dhcp enabled--meaning the time capsule pulls an IP address from the providers router. Then connect the other express or extreme to time capsule using apples built in bridging.
Doing it this way gives your network one dhcp server--the providers router. This way you will be able to reach all your providers tv receivers for the app controllers because all devices will be on the same subnet.
The trade off is the controlling device for firewall and ports is the providers router. So if you want remote access to your hard drive in the time capsule you will need to allow this through the providers router.
To me it sounds like you have 2 dhcp servers and when you reboot the dhcp server that boots up the quickest give the IP address out. Then when the time to live timer expires and the devices needs to check and make sure it is still good with its IP address another dhcp server steps in and causes your issue.

Trouble changing account picture

I'm having some trouble with the "Picture" tab in the "Accounts" system preference.
Problem #1: It allows me to make changes whether the lock is open or closed.
Problem #2: If I change the picture using the "Edit..." button, whether the lock is open or closed, the change doesn't stick. When I change to another tab and change back, the old picture is there. The only way to make a change that sticks is to select a picture from the Apple Pictures provided.
Is this a bug in the software, something screwy on my system, or something I'm doing incorrectly?

It looks like the problem was a permissions problem. I had this problem when I did a User Migration to a new computer.
Here's how to fix the problem:
1. Create a new account (I created one called "Temp")
2. Make sure "Allow user to administer this computer" is checked for this new Temp user.
3. Login using the new Temp user.
4. Go into System Preferences > Accounts and select the account that is giving you problems. (You may have to click the unlock icon first)
5. Choose the Picture tab for the problem account and click on the "Edit..." button.
6. If you have an iSight camera, click "Take a Video Snapshot" or choose a photo if you do not have an iSight. DO NOT choose a picture from the Recent Pictures drop down.
7. Click on the Set button. This temporary picture should save correctly.
8. Logout of your Temp account and log back into your real account.
9. You should now be able to save your picture changes. Select a picture and see if it works.
10. Remove your Temp account by selecting the Temp account in the list and click on the negative button.

E-Mailing Photos from iPhoto - Having trouble with resolution

I am having trouble with emailing pictures from i-photo. When I email pictures as attachments they end up being low resolution versions and the receiver can not print them. I can not figure out what sort of setting I must have set. Please help.

1 - how are you selecting and attaching the photos?
2 - what is the resolution of the photos in iPhoto?
3 - if you are using the iPhoto e-mail capability (recommended) you select a photo(s) and click mail - there you can choose actual, large, medium or small
4 - this creates an e-mail message in the e-mail client of your choice (iPhoto preferences) - if you are using Apple mail in the lower right hand corner under the e-mail there is a menu where you can set Actual, large, medium or small
Be sure that both selections are set the way you want them - if either is se tto small you will send a small (low resolutin) photo

Cannot upload pictures on Ebay when using Firefox with Windows 8.1 - but works with IE 11

Problem with uploading Photos on Ebay only when Firefox is my Browser - -
Just recently I have noticed I cannot upload pictures anymore using the option STANDARD. I have to use their BASIC option, which is one picture at a time.
When I select STANDARD I find that BROWSE does not respond. My configuration is Windows 8.1, 8gb memory and using the latest Firefox.
Rather oddly it works fine with -
8.1 + Internet Explorer
XP + IE
XP + Firefox
Just this combination - no go.
Any ideas ?

Had same problem since I updated FF26. Always same old answers that don't work: reset FF, reinitialize, try "mode sans echec" (forgot english name for this), cut off addons, AV & firewall, check in config:about etc.. Think posts concerning this same problem are skattered all around because it has many different issues. And that's why FF has not yet digged to the genuine cause.
My facts: 1) can't browse to send an attachment with an email (but I can with IE); 2) In tools/options if I check "ask where to record" browse doesn't work either. 3) In tools/options if I check "download in such or such file", then it does download in file named "telechargement" ( in french) but I can't choose another file because here again "browse" doesn't work.
I saw a post somewhere talking about problems related to avast (it's my AV). Know if it's true?
I'd be really glad if this could be solved cause I don't intend to change. FF is the best!

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
