Can't find my gift card redemption on iTunes. I had it under a different email, but had to change my email address. Now I don't see the money in the corner anymore. How do I get it back?

Problems with Itunes gift card redemption

My daughter got a gift card for her birthday so she wanted to set up a separate account in her name. She thought she had set it up successfully...after choosing an ID and password she entered her gift card number and it told her the balance on her card...however, when she went to sign in so she could shop it would not recognize her ID or password so I went to help her. I found that it never processed the account, but I never figured out why. I used her same ID and password and went through the steps to set it up right but when I entered her gift card redemption code it said that the card had already been redeemed. She is now in tears and I have no idea how to help her. Is there anyone out there that can tell me what I can do? Im desperate!!!

if your redemtion code is unreadable or being refused you will need to contact iTunes Store Support.

How to see gift card redemption purchases in iTunes

When I pull up my account in iTunes I can't see which purchases were paid for by my iTunes card. I got a git card and redeemed it, but it doesn't seem to be there as a credit.

The Purchase History in your account only shows purchases. It does not show redemptions.
However, when you redeem a gift card, you should get immediate confirmation that your balance was updated. Also, the upper left of any iTunes Store page shows your current balance.

Unable to buy songs on after gift card redemption

I just redeemed to gift cards so have credit on my account but now cannot "buy" any songs. I click the "buy" button and nothing happens, I can download free things like podcasts but not purchase anything. There is no error message.
I have trolled the internet looking for a solution and found someone else having the exact same problem but no solution as yet.
In the past I initially only just gift cards to purchase with no problem then recently used a credit card for the first time until then I had no credit card loaded against my account. And have now gone back to using a couple of gift cards.
I have updated iTunes with latest updates which didn't help.
Any help much appreciated as I was hoping to download music for new years eve!!

I find it very misleading that the iTunes gift cards sold in Canada do not clearly state on the packaging that they cannot be used for game and app purchases. This is only listed on the terms and conditions on the website. Sorry, but I didn't think to carry the website with me to the store when I purchased the gift cards for my family members iTouches. Perhaps iTunes should not mislead the customer by stating "use your iTunes cards for music and more. . . . " Very very very disappointed.

ITunes Gift Card Redemption System is a joke

Three times now I've received an iTunes gift card as a present. What's more, for every card I've received and attempted to enter the code, it says it needs to be "activated." What the **** is this! Then to correct the situation, iTunes directs us to scan and send a copy of the receipt to Apple. That's convienent. Also, people always attach the receipt to their iTunes Gift Card when the give it as a gift (insert sarcasm). Bad system, period. Can you imagine how much money Apple is making on unused iTunes cards. Class action anyone? Seriously. Do a search on Apple Communities and see how many people have had/having this issue. Thoughts?

I had an issue redeeming a gifted song exactly like this.
I logged out of the iTunes store completely (click on your email address, and go to 'sign out'), then logged in again. It worked fine. I'd suggest that first.

No, you can't view a list of gift card redemptions, you can only view your account's purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases - if you select a link on that history then it should show how it was charged e.g. mine show 'Store Credit' as I only use gift cards

I know how to review my purchase history in my iTunes account. But, how do I find out what happened to a gift card credit? Per my my account's purchase history, I only used $10 of a $50 gift card (assuming the culprit is NOT user error, e.g., I redeemed on the incorrect account). I am currently in 'discussion' with iTunes about this very issue. It's happened to me at least twice before when I redeemed a Gift card and didn't use the full amount. A couple of weeks later... the 'credit' was gone!
I also question as to why iTunes do NOT show gift card redemptions... VERY sus imho!!! Why dont they??!!
I have asked iTunes to provide me with a list of all my transactions for this year so I can see when, where and how my credits were used. So far the best I got was "check your account balance". They have said they will look into it from another side (ie. not via their customer support) but I will give them a week before I go to Fair Trading and make a formal complaint.
I have provided them screen shots, dates, my purchase history etc. and the numbers just dont add up. Either my credit balance expired (in the space of a couple of weeks) or someone is skimming accounts - which is on the iTunes system. Either way iTunes have a case to answer!

Last week I had a little over $5 on my account. I purchased a $15 gift card to buy more music. When I redeemed the gift card, my account showed the $15 but not the additional $5. What happened to the other money? I had this happen once before but only had around $1 left so didn't worry about it, but if this happens every time I buy a gift card, I wont be buying any more.
I have checked other similar threads and the only response I have seen is to look at history. The history does show what was purchased but I don't see anything showing balances as those purchased or gift card redemptions are made. Any help would be appreciated.

I had to change my Apple ID password and now it seems as though the balance remaining on my iTunes account from a gift card redemption has been wiped or is no longer accessible. It doesn't show up under my account any longer. Please help?

Redemed gift cards it ate my old funds on my account and only lowest gift card shows on balance.

I am just now getting around to putting in my digital gifts for holiday. I had money left over from last year b-day gift cards not much but enough for a couple of songs. I was entering in my gift card and it said it was accepted yet it had eaten my other funds. I haven't bought anything recently so I don't understand why it would have done this. Checking my email shows no new purchases either.

Is it possible to look up what gift cards have been redeemed on an iTunes account? I have multiple children each with their own iTunes accounts and need to validate that each child is using their own cards and not others cards.

No, you can only see an account's balance and the purchases on an account, you can't see a list of gift card redemptions.
To view the balance : mine shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my iOS devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to).
To view the purchase history : log into the account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of its purchases.
