Troubleshooting why i'm experiencing email problems with new iPad...

I am a newbie with my iPad ... just trying to figure out why my email isn't working well on my iPad.  I am receiving some email but not all... and
when I've tried to send an email, I am unable to do so.
I have checked my settings, but can't figure out the problem.

  • Wifi problems with new ipad

    I'm trying to learn how to correct wifi problems with new iPad.  It is the wifi only, 64GB model.  I want to be able to use it at work, where we have a great wifi network.  I can usually connect to our network with no problem, but after an hour or so my iPad loses the network.  When I try to reconnect, I see that the network is showing full strength reception, but I get the error message from the iPad that I am "Unable to join" the network.  My iPhone connects to the same network seamlessly, as do all of the other iPhones of my co-workers and the older generation iPads that some of our staff has.
    At other locations, I typically have no problems (home, apple store, etc.) but I have had the same situation pop up at a coffee shop where I could see that there was a wifi network available, but I could not join it even though it was the shop's free wifi. 
    I have tried turning the iPad off, turning off wifi and turning it back on again, and forgetting the wifi network in question.  I can't think of any other methods that are available to an end user to correct the problem. 
    I have already gone to the Apple store to swap out the unit, and the newer one is having the same symptoms. 
    Can anyone offer any advice here?  This is quite frustrating.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

    Hello, I am having a problem with my email on my iPad... Whenever someone tries to send a picture message on my email, It will show an attachment when I open it but the picture will not show. Also, the subject of the email is Thread-index (with a bunch of letters and numbers)

    Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!

  • Having problems with new ipad and charging?? Help me please

    I have the new ipad with retina display and it had that new smaller charger as you probably already know, well I've only had this ipad for about three months and I've already gone through two chargers for the same problem which is When I plug it in it does not charge unless I unplug it and plug it in about 40 times and then it starts to charge! Do you think it may have something to do with the ipad itself or am I just getting faulty chargers? It's not that cheap to keep re-buying these chargers ):

    Since your iPad is quite new, why are you "re-buying" chargers?  Are you not using the charger that came in the box -- the original Apple charger?  If you were doing that, and did not mishandle the charger (e.g., tug on the cord to pull the charger out of the wall socket), Apple would take care of the charger under its warranty.
    So I suspect you're either mishandling the charger (not likely), or using some third party charger (more likely).
    If it's the original Apple charger, and you're not mishandling it, contact Apple for assistance.

  • Overdrive transfer problems with new ipad and old ipod

    installed overdrive for ipad on pc (win 7) and ipad2 app.  downloaded book from library site and it allows 3 transfers to devices.
    hit "transfer" and get error message that overdrive is not able to connect to my device(s) yet itunes shows my device and syncs my other items.
    tried the manually manage idea in the help threads. i use firefox. i have installed all of the many itunes/ipad/ipod updates,  tried reinstalls, reboots and new attitude...but not getting anywhere.

    I have an iPad 2 (2nd Generation) 512GB RAM w/32GB storage.  Running out of storage room.

    Before I buy one, any problems or issues with it? I hope the issues are only with iOS 8  and not the hardware.
    iOS issues can be fixed with a new update.

    Currently as of this post there is a random popping sound every so often, wifi shuts off sometimes and turns back on. The speaker vibrating isn't a defect but it's there because of how thin.

    Brand new Ipad Mini screen is fading, blacking out, and has bands/lines across? Only responds sluggishly to on/off button. The menu screen comes up for a moment, but the screen blacks out and lines appear.

    Have the same problem, but unfortunately this solution didn't work.
    The iPad becomes unresponsive as the screen slowly fades to near black. The fading isn't even, vertical bands fade at different rates. Then thin horizontal lines appear up top or at the bottom. When it becomes responsive again, swiping icons is sluggish. Even when I press the power button to black out the screen, I can see thin horizontal lines up top.
    I've tried wiping the iPad and starting from scratch, but after a few minutes the problems start again.

    I have recently upgraded my computer to the new Lion Software.   My email now longer works and is constantly in freefall sending and receiving emails.   Since I downloaded the software this problem has happened on and off but now its a permanent problem.  I know its the new software that affecting my emails as all my other devices, my iphone and ipad pick emails okay.   As a small business owner this is a huge problem.

    first time here using the forums
    So long story short. We bought mum an Ipad 4 for xmas and I have an ipad 2.
    i set it up for her today brand new out the box and everything was great. I linked it to my itunes account because she doesn't have her own.
    When i came home she tried to call me on skype from her ipad 4.
    I couldnt hear her at all but i could see her and she could see me but couldn't hear me.
    I contacted apple support and they said to check that bluetooth was turned off on my device (ipad2) so i turned off bluetooth and then had mum call me again from her ipad4 and we could then hear each other but her video wouldnt work.
    I then had her turn off her bluetooth to see if that would work as per the apple supports instructions, this again went back to cutting out both the sound and video for both of us.
    Apple support had mum record a test video on her ipad to see if the camera and mic were working , and it was no problem. Mine was working also .
    So apple said that it wasnt a hardware fault.
    I know it must be something simple so i thought i would come on here and ask for a bit of help? Is it because i set her ipad up using my account?
    or is it something else simple to fix?

    The device have network (shows it) but can not connect to the internet. Need to restart (off/on) to get access to the internet

    I tried that already and as soon as I hid the ssid of my wifi the issue started happening again.  It used to connect but now won't do anything.

    I too have experienced this issue over the past two days... I have a 16gb ipad mini retina, for reference. I bought the device one week ago, and had not experience any issues at all until bringing my device to work. I logged into my work's enterprise level wireless network both yesterday and today, maintained normal wifi capabilities for 2-4 hours each day, and was then randomly dropped, both days. I tried hard resets, resetting my network settings, airplane mode, etc. Nothing has worked. I am still offline on my ipad mini retina.
    My iPhone 5 is sitting right next to my iPad mini retina. The iPhone is currently connected to the same very network, and has been for the past two years. I have never lost connection on my iPhone's wifi, just my iPad mini retina.
    This must be some kind of bug, as it does not sound like a hardware nor network issue.
    Hopefully they fix this in 7.1.
