Troubleshooting Wifi on iTunes

Hi All
So last night I went to sit down to watch a movie on Apple TV like I do most nights and it couldnt find my Computer.
I assumed that there was an issue with AppleTV so I restarted it, then Restored it, restarted iTunes, etc etc... Nothing.
Then I noticed that my iPhones werent showing up wirelessly on iTunes... (the button that appears in the top right when it connects to a device wirelessly wasnt there) so I restarted my iMac and tried again, nothing.
The only thing I havent tried is reinstalling iTunes thus far and I am wondering if anyone has had something similar happen or if there is a simple fix I have somehow overlooked...

That sounds like a problem with your internet connection
Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall.
- Next try the manual install method of:
iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
- Then try on another computer

Need help? Some of my Ipods are not recognized by Itunes with my Windows 8 PC. (Ipod Nano 4th gen and Ipod Nano 6th gen), but on my Windows 7 PC, they work fine. My Ipod 3rd gen and Ipod shuffle work both on Windows 8 and 7 PC's. On the non-working Ipods, the Device sync test says "No device found". Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If you share the same Apple ID, it shouldn't be a problem. You can sync from your computer or download from Purchased.

Just copy the files across the network, via a USB flash drive, or external hard drive from one computer to the other.
Keep in mind the computer must be authorized to play the content which means your computer will need to be authorized for your wife's iTunes account.

When you installed iTunes on your work computer, then connected your iPad to that computer, it wiped what was on the iPad, then put the iTunes library (nothing) from the work computer onto the iPad. You can try copying the iTunes folder from your home computer over to your work computer, but since the apps were bought with a different account, they may not load or update properly.

That's usually because a) you do not have a SIM card in the phone, or b) the phone was hacked to unlock it.

I linked through and submitted my info as a "topic not covered" in the iCloud section. After entering the serial number of my MBP it turns out I wasn't eligible for technical support (though I don't think this is hardware related support) and the final suggestion was to take my computer into an Apple store. I called my local Apple reseller and asked for assistance. The customer service rep was very nice but unable to help, so suggested I call Apple Support on 1300 321 456. I did so and, again, spoke to two very polite and helpful customer service people (I was transferred to security services). I didn't have to be on hold to speak to either rep for more than a few seconds! After trying a few different things, he worked out what was happening...
So, to cut a long story short, to solve the problem in my OP, all I had to do was log out of iCloud in my System Preferences and log back in using my current Apple ID. [Edited to add that I had to sign out of everything I was currently signed in to with my Apple ID before logging out and in again.]

I'm new to Mac, have had for approx. I put my iPhone and iPad and my wifes in iTunes and now when i start my system on. I now have a Guest user show up at the log on screen. Is this normal. And how can I take it off.   Tried the help and no luck

You shouldn't have to change your iTunes account to not have to purchase it twice. If your devices are using different iTunes IDs, just purchase it on one device, then import it to your iTunes library by connecting the device to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Once in iTunes, you should be able to sync it to your other device (assuming both devices are syncing with the same iTunes library). (And even if they were syncing with separate libraries, you could use Home Sharing to copy the app from one library to the other.)
Or, am I missunderstanding something?

Hi. My wife and I share a macbook, with different user profiles. To date we've been using the one itunes, on my wife's profile, but it plays up a bit, gets us confused etc, so I've set up a new itunes on my profile and am trying to import my music, apps and photos from my wife's itunes via home sharing (using her apple id in both for home sharing purposes). But I can't seem to find her itunes library in my itunes library. Any ideas?

Does anybody know how I can get iTunes to find all of my songs it their new folder without me doing it one by one myself? Thanks

But that's what I don't want to do. I think I must have misunderstood what was possible with iTunes Match and the cloud. I had thought I would be able to play my music directly from the cloud using WiFi. I didn't think I would have to download it from the cloud to play it on my iPad. I store it in the cloud because I don't have enough storage space on my iPad -- I can't download all my music because I run out of storage space. If iTunes Match doesn't allow you to play the music FROM THE CLOUD, but instead only allows you to DOWNLOAD IT FROM THE CLOUD TO YOUR IPAD TO PLAY, then it's not serving the purpose I thought it would. What's the point of storing it in the cloud if you have to download it to play it?
The only way I could imagine it working for me is if it possible to only download particular albums or songs. Or does your whole library have to be downloaded?

Now sign out of yours and into hers. Copy the files out of where you put them in the previous step, and into her Automatically Add to iTunes folder, which is found inside the iTunes Media folder.
