Troubleshooting with IOS BGP and IOS XR BGP - routing table Empty

Hi
actually we tried to make a neigborhood between ASR9000 and Cisco 7600, we have the neigborhood active but on routing tables from ASR only have the networks locals or connected doesn´t learn anything from BGP 7600
the diagram is this:
When try to know the routes on ASR9000 from Cisco 7609 happen the follow
the neighbor is UP from Cisco 7600 and ASR 9000 but the routing table is empty.
the config on cisco 7600 is:
router bgp 2006
neighbor 172.16.14.6 remote-as 64512
address-family ipv4
neighbor 172.16.14.6 activate
the config on cisco ASR9000 is:
router bgp 64512
bgp router-id 172.16.161.1
address-family ipv4 unicast
neighbor 172.16.14.5
  remote-as 2006
  address-family ipv4 unicast
Help us
Best Regards

Another important one is the fact that in XR you need to have RPL policies (even if they only have a "pass-all" functionality) to accept inbound/outbound routes in eBGP.
Check the article on the asr9000 unequal cost multipath that has some sample BGP outputs and show command verifications that may help also.
If not the case, get us the XR config from the A9K side.
Also what does the bgp table on teh IOS side look like? as Richard suggests, there doesnt seem to be anything injected by the 7600 itself.

  • Troubleshooting with iOS 7.1

    Hello,
    I just updated my iPhone 4S from iOS 7.0.6 to 7.1 and so did my mother with hers. The problem might seem minor but it keeps bugging me from the moment I realised it. The design differs from the two of them. The one works fine as it should but the other one seems to have lost everything that has to do with its transparency.
    The first thing that made me see it was the Static Bar on the Home Menu. In previous versions of iOS 7 family, it was slightly transparent and you could see some colours from behind and the letters were white. Now, it's only Grey with Black letters.
    Then, I saw my folders and the same thing occured. And I can't forget the "Mini Menu" (seems I can't remember the rightful name) that again lost its Transparency theme.
    Lastly, I have a problem with getting a notification when a new mail arrives. Nowhere to be found even though on the menu its on to be seen on the Lock screen and the Notification Center and with an alert style on Banners. That has occured to me again with oldest versions of iOS and most of the time was fixed with a new update but now, the problem still stands.
    On the left is a screenshot of my mother's iPhone 4S with iOS 7.1 and on the right is mine.
    I hope that this will get fixed somehow. Even with some Update or someone's help that experiences the same problem(s).
    I tried restarting it but nothing happened.

    You're welcome.
    Make sure Do Not Disturb is not enabled:
    Settings > Do Not Disturb > Manual - off / Scheduled - off
    Also be sure that your emails are being pushed and not set to manual fetch:
    Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Select the account > set to push or fetch
    If you set to fetch adjust your fetch settings:
    Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > set to anything but manual

  • Bridge SRP with IOS device for routing.

    Hi,
    Can someone please detail how-to use the SRP (essentially bridged) for WAN connectivity and an IOS device. I plan to use an 881 ISR for routing, NAT, IPSec, GRE and PAT.
    I note Ethernet port 4 on the SRP -U model is a selectable LAN/WAN port? But I can't find any documentation on how-to use this for WAN?
    The reason for wanting to use the SRP for WAN is 4G LTE is the only available WAN option for us (using the Sierra Wireless 320U via USB interface).
    I could not find any 800 series ISRs that support a USB WAN with the Sierra Wireless 320U? Correct me if I am wrong.
    Regards,
    Trent.

    Hello Yannick B.
    Once you have enabled iTunes Match and then add music from a CD, it will automatically add those to iTunes Match for you or you can go to a drop down menu Store > Update iTunes Match to add the tracks. If you have iTunes Match enabled on your iPhone, you will see the changes rather quickly once uploaded.
    If you want to delete music from iTunes Match, just delete the tracks and a prompt will ask if you want to delete from iCloud. That should answer those questions for you.

    The short answer is: "Yes, of course."  But you are going to have to do the legwork and learn LabVIEW basics before we can offer meaningful help.

  • Having issues with PC gaming and my Linksys AC1900 router! (What settings should I be using?)

    Well I recently purchased a linksys AC1900 for a better/faster connection with my internet. Sadly, I have been having issues with online gaming. I am attempting to play a blizzard game (Diablo 3) but its not letting my connect. I did a direct wired connection and it worked just perfect. However, I dont want to play in my garage...lol. Does anyone have any ideas what settings I should be using? It lets me connect to battlenet but when my character loads into the world I get disconnected. I tried opening ports, shutting off uPnP, and various other things. Is the the router or is it me? Someone please help!

    I got confused with your response. If you are still having the same challenge, make sure you have enough speed to play any online game. You may also try to reboot your PC and the router. If the result is the same, check if the firmware is up to date. You may try to manually update it on the Linksys Smart WiFi page. Here's how. Once accomplished, reset, reboot, and reconfigure the router. I hope this helps!

  • Need little help with JPA code and displaying database data into tables

    Hello Everyone,
    I am using java6 and Netbeans 6.1 on Windows XP platform.
    This is probably very simple but have'nt been able to figure it out yet. I am using the Travel Java Databse included in NB6 as a learning tool.
    I have a JComboBox connected to Person Table and want to display a Trip table from using the selected item from theJcombobox. In other words, Trip table shows only the Person selected from the Jcombobox.
    If someone could point me on the right direction how to code JPA code or how to use NB6 GUI to accomplish this.
    Thanks

    The w and wi are just table aliases that make it easier to
    referrence those tables by column when joining multiple tables
    (avoids having to prefix column names with the entire table name,
    etc.) When doing a self-join (joining a table to itself), the use
    of table aliases is
    required, otherwise you would have no other way to tell
    which column belonged to which "instance" of table.
    The query itself is pretty simple. It is just using a
    correlated subquery to select only those instances of
    workstationApps where the count of appID instances in
    workstationAppIndex is less than the amount specified in the
    maxConcurrentInstalls for the same appID.
    Also, I do see what you are doing with #form.searchType#, I
    was just making sure that it was what you really intended to do.

  • Host Routing table empty, will not register with network and BIS

    I wiped out my BlackBerry 9900 and thereafter, it gave me an error code 507. I reloaded the OS through suggested software from the Blackberry Desktop device software and it was sussuccful. But since then, I could not surf the internet with my phone despite having BIS suubscription with my network provider (Glo Nigeria). I checked the Host Routine table and found it empty. I registered it several times and even removed the battery and replaced it, I also did network diagnostics test and didnt get any form of change. I called my service provider and they checked and confirmed that my SIM and subscription status is ok, I inserted my SIM card into another BlackBerry device and it worked well. I have tried different suggestions on the  forum but non of them solved the problem. Please kindly assist me.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I've seen this happen when people upgrade to 7.1.
    Go back to OS 7.0
    1. First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    2. It doesn't hurt to do a manual backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion and unplug BlackBerry. You can get BlackBerry Desktop Software here http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
    3. Download the OS file from step 1 to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    4. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also check the following locations for vendor.xml files and delete any instances of the file:
    On Windows Vista/7 navigate to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)
    On Windows XP navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)
    5. If you're simply updating the OS to a newer version skip this step. If doing a clean OS reload use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a complete backup) then after you get the error 507 (no OS installed) then proceed to next step.
    6. Plug in BlackBerry and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
    1. Please thank those who help you by clicking the "Like" button at the bottom of the post that helped you.
    2. If your issue has been solved, please resolve it by marking the post "Solution?" which solved it for you!

  • Firewall Issue with 1.5 and 2Wire 2701HG-B router/modem

    I've set up holes in my router's firewall so that I can reach my G5 via ssh/ftp/http. And I am able to reach the G5 from computers outside the firewall by connecting to the router's IP address. But if I try to connect to that same IP address -- ssh/ftp/http -- from either of the two computers that are behind the firewall, including the G5, the connection fails.
    This setup worked prior to upgrading to 10.5 last week but I'm not sure if this is an issue with my 10.5 (DNS?) or and issue with the 2Wire router/modem. I called 2Wire but they didn't have any suggestions.

  • Issue with null rows and calc measure in pivot table

    hello;
    id like to ask if anyone encountered a similar behaviour in OBI and if there is woraround for that;
    in my BM i have 2 facts tables; i added in BM logical layer a calculated measure (calc_value) ,which is based on 3 other measures coming from these 2 facts tables
    :calc_value= value1 / (value2+value3) ; value1 coming from fact1 and value2 / vfalue3 coming from fact2
    depending on the chosen dimensions/level in report, the result of the calcuated measure is different ,which is correct;
    the lowest level in fact1 and fact2 are customer/product.
    in Answers when i select this calculated measure into report, a full outer join gets created, joining these 2 facts tables on all the dimensions that were chosen into the report i.e. in my case year/region/customer/product.
    as a result there are null rows created in the db query, if some of these combinations exist in 1st fact table , and do not exist in 2nd fact table and other way round;
    when i display result as a table, i can see the calculated measure only on the lines that are common for both fact tables and this is correct;
    however - when i create a pivot table, and DO NOT select into the pivot the customer/product (so the lowest level), but still select these items into criteria, then the calc_value is not displayed correctly; instead of the value that would be shown as if calculated at the higher level i.e. year/region, simply 0 is displayed;
    i was wondering how this can be corrected, so that OBI displayes in pivot the calc_value as of the level which is shown in pivot (so if i show in pivot year/region/customer/product -> then at this level; if i put customer/product to 'exclude' in pivot, then the level should be year/region);
    i noticed if i filter out at least 1 combination that create null rows then the values are shown correctly in pivot (but the db query still contains null rows), so i tend to think this is presentation issue, not design;
    id appreciate any tips on how to resolve this issue
    OBI vesion: 10.1.3.2
    thx
    rgds

    Hi write a case statement during logical column such that when value is present it takes value else zero for call the values i.e. value1, value2, value3.
    i.e. case when column1 is not null then column1 else 0.
    Then, do the calculation.
    Hope this might helpful for you.

  • Monitoring a BGP route and AS-PATH.

    Hello.
    I need to receive a SNMP trap when a BGP route, received with a specific AS-PATH, disappears from routing table.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    Andrea

    You can use EEM for this. Check out the cisco beyond web site for sample scripts that may help you do this.
    A company that I used to work for, www.magnus.net had a mature EEM solution for doing this for large network environments. They took a standalone router and using EEM turned it into a route monitor.  It would send out notifications when BGP routes of defined attributes like AS-Path diasappeared from routing tables.  It was driven by an excel spreadsheet as inputs. It was written by a super CCIE engineer.

  • MPLS BGP routes push to DMVPN spokes

    I have an MPLS with BGP. I also have sites that are not connected directly to the MPLS, but have a s2s VPN to hub sites that are connected to the MPLS and that way they access the MPLS resources. I need to communicate the route changes to the MPLS when the DMVPN fails-over to another hub.
    Currently this is my config:

  • Query on BGP route distribution

    Hello Everyone

    More confusing part to me is when I disable IBGP peering between R2-R3 or shutdown interface between R2-R3 or else if I disable ospf in R1,R2 & R3 routers , I'm able to see both best route and alternate valid route in BGP topology table.
    R1#sh ip bgp

    Hi Milin & Renan,
    Thanks for your replies. To narrow down the problem, I’ve shut down the 40.40.x.x network.
    Now between R2-R3, R3 is not advertising 30.30.X.X network to R2, but whereas R2 is advertising 30.30.X.X network to R3. Why R3 is not advertising 30.30.X.X (route via 200 400 300) to R2.

  • Trouble getting BGP route to be primary

    We have an MPLS network between locations using BGP. Several locations have a VPN connection as a backup and use OSPF for those routes.
    When an MPLS link goes down, the traffic switches over to the VPN connection just fine. But when the MPLS link comes back up, the OSPF route is still overriding the BGP route.  I've changed the weights for both BGP & OSPF but still can't get the BGP route to override the OSPF route.
    Any ideas as to what I'm missing?

    Hi,
    IMHO, you should use the same Weight for both the BGP prefix redistributed from OSPF and received from the BGP neighbor.
    And set other attribute (Local Preference, e.g.) to make the prefix received from the BGP neighbor to win when the MPLS interface goes Up again.
    Another issue might be though:
    When the MPLS interface is Down, you get the OSPF prefix redistributed to your BGP table, And when the MPLS interface goes Up again, you might be advertising this prefix to the backbone. And it can beat the prefix advertised from the remote site. If it's your case, I'd also try to prepend your AS number several times to the prefix advertised from your router to make it less preferred within the backbone comparing to the original BGP prefix.
    Best regards,
    Milan.

  • Unable to create PR with Service Line & also no entry in ESLH table using

    Hi Experts,
    I am using BAPI => BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE to create PR and it is successful to create PR but when I try to create PO is become fail (proably missing entry in ESLH table).
    Now my requirement is to create PR with Service Line and an entry in ESLH table (should be filled by SAP automatically). I have been passing the service related/account assigment tables into BAPI but still not working.
    Will you please give a solution to create PR with Service Line and also need an entry in ESLH table (its important to my req)?
    Also provide some input on Service Line, if possible(How to check Service Line for PR + Account Assignment to Service Line + etc.)?
    Note that: If I create PR manually then there have entry in ESLH and hence I can create PO.
    Definately the quick solution help me lot...
    Thanks
