Whenever I am syncing my iPhone 4 (with iOS 6.1.3) via cable with iTunes, I have to jiggle the cable to get it to connect with iTunes. Also, whenever I'm listening to any kind of sound, sometimes the sound just drops out and the volume bar disappears.
I asked an Apple tech in the store, and he told me to restore the phone and set up as new phone. I have done this with no success. Any suggestions

iPhone charging port is faulty or dirty. Clean charging port with clean toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol.

Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

My son let one of his friends use his ipad. The next time he tired to use it he could not get it unlocked, I tired to unlock it but it kept telling me that I had the wrong pass code. With out me knowing my son continued to tire until it completely disabled it self.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

But your original post(s) were not so clear.
So if your original phone WAS locked and the LOCKED one got replaced from the APPLE store...then there is a 100% chance it IS locked.

Sorry but no. You will need to get access to a computer with iTunes somewhere to restore the iPad. You can get help with this at an Apple Store if you have them in your area. Note that if you haven't backed up your iPad to iCloud, you'll lose all your data. Apps and other purchases from the iTunes Store can probably be re-downloaded.

Why does apple tv always connect to itunes even when I own the movie and it is on my computer?

So I have my entire itunes library on a HD that I bring with my laptop back and forth. My problem is not at my house where I have an internet connection, but it is at my cabin in the woods where I do not have an internet connection. Why is my apple tv always trying to connect to the itunes store whenever the movie I am trying to play is on my computer and on the network? I have an airport express setup creating my network, but like I said I do not have an internet connection. I am just using the AX to give me a wifi network. I understand that point. They are mostly bought from iTunes. But, I can watch on my laptop, iPad, iPhone on an airplane or wherever without an Internet connection. So why the hang up on my apple tv, should it not just be an extension of my laptop?

Issue connecting with iTunes Match

Hi, i've got an issue connecting with iTunes Match. Most of the time iTunes doesn't connect to iTunes Match when launching the app. I just see the cloud symbol that indicates it tries to connect. And it just keeps on going. I then have to quit iTunes and relaunch it. Type in my Apple ID password. And still nothing. But around a third or fourth time I usually get a connecting going and then listen to music
And I'm not impatient. I give it some minutes everytime while opening and browsing the iTunes Store.
And the same thing happens after Sleep Mode. It is kind of annoying. Having open and close iTunes all the time.
Is there anything I can do? Am I perhaps doing something wrong? Is anyone experiencing the same problem or issue?

I did a software update this morning. The three updates were: "iDVD Update", 'Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update", and "Safari". After that my two iPhones (one is my wife's) can not connect to iTunes, nor iPhoto. I switched cables and the connection port with no success. Had to be the updates as there is nothing else different that I did. And yes, I restarted both the computer and iPhones, several times. Need help!

Yesterday I fitted an additional Homeplug with built in wireless N adapter ( I alreday have another type fitted from my main router position) The wireless system to my ipad is obviously "confused" . Having now removed the second homeplug and reset my ipad all is now ok
