True North Compass Error iOS 8.02
The compass, and some applications that use it, does not work with true north
activated.
Anyone else have this problem?

Compass don't allow true north
Hi
I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3
The Compass app that comes with the OS will allow me to display a heading in magnetic north but not in true north. The true north option is grayed out. The magnetic heading displayed is accurate. I have location services turned on and compass calibration turned on too. Compass displays my correct LAT & LON. Magnetic and true north options working before. I tried powering the phone off and back on several times.
Sometimes Compass allow me to select the true north option, but when i click done the app switches to magnetic north itself.
Anyone have seen this?
Tanks a lot.This appears to be a bug in iOS. Having been in contact with diegoarc, I understand that this problem was fixed by reinstalling iOS 6.1.3.

The Compass App won't allow True North anymore
When my iPhone 4 had iOS 4 last month, I could select True North or Magnetic North in the Compass App.
I'm on iOS 5 now, and am just now realizing that I can no longer switch to True North anymore in the Compass App because it is greyed out.
Does this point to a problem with the accelerometer in my iPhone??Figured it out! Compass Calibration was off in Settings - Location Services

The compass in ios 7 shows incorrect current location gps coordinates. Any ideas why or what can be done to correct this?
Try Settings > Compass > Use True North = "On"

On iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, this operating system slowly when I touch to apple apps such as notes, compass, telephone, ... very slowly. Also as simple to use application photo of about 4 minutes, iOS 7.0 on iPhone 4s was overheat and battery from 100% use 4 minutes to 96%, so quickly. In the lock screen (not control center) when playing song, I just press forward 1 song very difficult, strong problem. On Safari, I can not adjust the font size in Reader. why have app Facetime on iPhone 4, iPhone 4s?
Hopefully, Apple can continue to fix bugs in iOS 7 for the client and myself. Problems calibrating compass on iOS 7
I've just installed iOS 7 on my iPhone 4S but I can't calibrate the compass - the ball simply won't roll around the circle. The spirit level works fine, so I imagine it's not a problem with any sensors. Any thoughts?
Ditto for me, also on an iPhone 4s. The first time I opened the Compass app, I tilted the ball around and it successfully calibrated and showed the azimuth. But subsequent attempts at calibration do nothing and after several seconds the app shows the compass dial, but it is frozen. Doesn't seem to be a sensor issue, because other apps with a compass (such as Motion X GPS) seem to work fine. I've tried force quitting the app and rebooting the iPhone, but neither solved the problem.

I upgraded my iPad to iOS 8.01. I am no longer able to view apple store purchased video via the Seagate Media application. https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/seagate-media/id431912202?mt=8
Previously when I tapped on a store bought video it would switch to Safari and I could proceed to watch the video. Under iOS 8 I now get a Mobile Safari DRM error and a suggestion that I authorize the iPad. I can confirm that I can view apple video through the standard videos application and that the iPad is authorized.
I have attempted to report the issue to Seagate however I note that on their app store details page of the Seagate Media application they have the following entry:

Due to issues in iOS 8, iTunes purchased videos cannot be played. We have reported this issue to Apple. Please help us by contacting Apple to raise the priority.
I am therefore, according to Seagate, at the mercy of Apple for this issue to be resolved. Is it possible for this issue to be addressed soon? I can only assume that other 3rd party providers have encountered similar issues.

As far as Seagate is concerned they are clearly indicating that they believe that Apple has made a change to iOS which is not solvable within their application. The Seagate app exists because it links to their Wireless Plus Hard drive, this allows streaming of videos from the HDD to the iOS device and as indicated previously where it is an itunes video the seagate app would switch to Safari to play the file. Has anyone experienced similar issues with like applications? eg Corsair Voyager Air? -
"Cannot Connect to iTunes" Error iOS 6.0.1 Have tried everything! Got advice?

Just updated to iOS 6.0.1.
I'm getting the very common "Cannot Connect to iTunes Store" error when I try to download anything in the App Store. I have tried EVERYTHING to resolve it and nothing works.
Here is what I have tried so far:
1. Set Date&Time to 2013. Try App Store. Got error. Set Date&Time to auto again. DIDNT WORK.
2. Set Date&Time to 2030. Try App Store. Got error. Set Date&Time to auto again. DIDNT WORK.
3. Rebooted iPhone twice after resetting Date&Time. DIDNT WORK.
4. Signed out of iTunes/Apple ID account. DIDNT WORK. Worse, now iTunes won't even acknowledge my account and wont let me sign back in! DIDNT WORK.
I have tried everything every one has said worked for them. Nothing works for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions before I throw the phone out the window? God help me, if I'm forced to go to Windows 8, I'll cry.Greek_Freek wrote:

Heavens no ... Don't do it!
There are a bunch of users posting about this problem right now. One might assume that there is something "hinky" going on with the Apple servers. There is one other thing that you can try, that you haven't already mentioned ... Don't know if it will work ... You may just have to wait this out until Apple fixes it but ....
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
More than likely, it is an Apple glitch, but give it a try. -
Everytime I try to download iOS 5 on my iPad 2, it gets to almost the end and stops. Then, it asks me what it asked me for in the beginning: to read and agree to the terms.
Then, it starts all over and says there was an error with my internet conncection, and make sure they're correct. I checked my network settings and it says there is no problem. Any suggestions?It gave me the error upon pliugging it into this computer for the very first time. I do always click eject, though. On this computer I cannot even open the iPad 2.
I synched it to a different work computer (I work in two buildings) and then upgraded to iOS5. I should be able to sync to the cloud...
What I need to do is access the videos I took on this iPad to be able to edit them or upload them for another person to see. -
