TrueSuite finger print Outlook access has disappeared

Hi all,
I have been using TrueSuite Access to protect MS Outlook (I'm using Outlook2003) since I got my Toshiba laptop, in other words when I open MS Outlook, TrueSuite forces me to swipe my fingerprint so I can access and use MS Outlook.
It's been working fine until yesterday, for some reason the TrueSuite fingerprint option to open MS Outlook has disappeared, I simply go to Start | MS Office Outlook and Outlook opens, it no longer asking me to swipe my fingerprint.
I have not downloaded anything in the meantime except updating my anti virus software.
Do anyone know why this has happened?

Not quite sure what could affect this but would recommend checking the settings in fingerprint software.
Maybe you will need to register the fingerprints again.
You can also try to update / reinstall the software and to check if this helps.

HP Envy Touchsmart 15 finger print reader not working

Hello, I've had my HP Envy touchsmart 15 for little under a month now and it's been going great until yesterday and today, the finger print reader hardware has started acting up.I log into my account fine and then when I leave my laptop for a little bit, I then return to log in and it won't let me use the finger print reader, it doesn't flash red or white, it just stops working. So I then try to log in using my password but I can't because it's saying my finger print is not recognised and keeps flicking bad and forth to that message. I've had this issue on and off with my laptop, as well. It has persisted through Windows 8, 8.1, and even started up again after upgrading to Windows 10 this week. I've also done the Simple Pass uninstall/reinstall thing, as well as used updated versions of such with the problem recurring. I reloaded a fresh install of Windows 8.1 earlier this year, only to have the problem persist. This week, I decided to forgo the HP software entirely and start using the Windows Hello feature that allows Windows to natively access the fingerprint reader without any other software required. Here's what I have figured out:The issue seems to be caused by the activation of a power saving profile at shuts down the fingerprint reader out of perceived conservation. Disabling this feature seems to have wholly rectified the issue.Windows 10 has installed the most recent Validity Sensors driver for the device, and it seems to work well.Here's how I fixed it, which should work for you:At the risk of shilling for Microsoft, run all the Windows Updates needed to get your PC to prompt an update to Windows 10. (The HP software seems to be at least partly to blame, and I hated the latest iteration of Simple Pass.) The Windows Hello feature should work well, as this device is supported. All instructions below assume you have installed Windows 10.Before continuing, uninstall HP Simple Pass from the control panel or through the new Windows 10 applications window (in Settings).If you have the "My Computer" icon on your desktop, right-click it and select Properties to open the System window. Then, select "Device Manager" from the upper left column of the System window. Thanks, Allan, but I am embarassed by my own ignorence. For better or undoubedly worse I am a PC person and I wouldn't know a Snow Leopard from a field mouse. I just know that about four or five years ago someone developed a procedure that involved moving a half-dozen or so Windows 2000 system files (that did support AppleTalk) to Windows XP systems whcih then gave them the same capability.
Since this 2000 ==> XP has worked so well for so long, I was just hoping that someone might have developed something similar for Windows 7. I can handle an answer ot No, but first I have to ask the queston.
Sub-Question: If not Appletalk, how else can I keep my Pro 630s as productive members of my PC-based Ethernet network?

Finger Print Scanner - TrueSuite

TrueSuite Access Manager: Failed to open the specified database.
I apologize if I am not posting on the correct board... My finger print scanner decided to stop working AFTER I did a clean install with Vista Home. I used the Toshiba Recovery Discs, and even tried it twice. It keeps giving me the "Error: failed to open the specified database".
It will not allow me Delete All Fingerprints, even when ran as administrator. "Error: Failed to delete fingerprint!".
SETTINGS> DELETE FINGERPRINTS, shows some Japanese text and Unknown Finger. I press delete and its gone. I exit and reopen and its back.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled MANY times using the software on the Toshiba site. util_fingerprint_28299A.exe

I read somewhere that prints are stored and the TAM needs to be uninstalled, so I found and ran also. util_tam_uninstall_TC00240000B.exe
I have cleaned the registry. Ran CCleaner. Reinstalled numerous times, but I have not found any answers to this bug other than take it in for repair. I have a warranty, but I'd prefer not incase I have this problem again.

I just called the customer support desk about TrueSuite 3.1.
They said to keep checking the toshiba website for the updated software.
When I mentioned about the numerous posts about TrueSuite 2.5.29 not working with IE8, the tech sounded suprised.
If enough folks call in, maybe toshiba will add the 3.1 soon.

I can no longer access my vista print website. Has anyone else had this problem?

I believe the setting you are speaking of is called the Screen Curtain. More information about this can be found here:

Turn the screen curtain on or off. Tap four times with three fingers. When the screen curtain is on, the screen contents are active even though the display is turned off.

You can't delete it. Look on all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so.

Good point BDAqua, the Escape key helps get me back to reality in Lion.
While I've only dabbled around a little in Lion since it's release (I upgraded a 10.6 Clone to Lion on one of my FireWire Drives) now I'm currently downloading Mountain Lion (to upgrade a Clone of that Lion Clone) so that now I can continue to move forward in madness.

Icon for hp web smart printing has disappeared in firefox. It does appear in IE but I use firefox most of the time. I rt clicked in upper right and chose customize. Icon is not there.

HP stopped updating Smart Web Printing for Firefox a while ago, it was last compatible with Firefox 3.5 - SWP didn't work with 3.6.

I had a similar issue. Have been trying various ways to include images in Outlook Web Mail and had an issue with one particular user only. All other users were OK. The issue reproduced on a different lap top with the same account so I assumed was somehow
saved back to Exchange server.

Where someone said opening web mail in Mozilla Firefox and deleteing both the signature and out of office assistant text fields which contained html code that was breaking the functionality in IE. After replacing with the word blank and saving, the problem

I would start with restoring your iPod classic by putting it into Disk Mode. Once you have that done, you should be able to restore your iPod in iTunes and then start the sync again. Let me know if this works out for you.
