Trusted Authentication on Windows 2008 64 bit

Has any one got Trusted Authenctication working on Windows 2008 server?  We are having issues with making it to work.  We followed the documentation on the SAP web site but are still not able to make it work.  In particular the ISAPI redirector is not working.  After congiguring the ISAPI redirector, when we try to view the jsp examples we get a http 500 error message.
Any insights?
Thanks

  • Oracle RAC 11g on Windows 2008 64 bit - blue screen error on both nodes

    Hi Everyone,
I installed Oracle RAC 11g on Windows 2008 64 bit, The installation was successfull and crs_state -t shows all services in two nodes are online.
When executed a select query with 100 sessions( For performance evaluation using Transaction generator ) ,the machine got crashed and blue screen is appeared on two nodes. I restrated the machines and and starts the same evaluation ,bt the same bug is repeating.
Can anyone suggest a solution to solve this issue? Is our hardware is not sufficient ? Shall we need to perform any
specific settings in Oracle RAC setup for performance evaluations?
Is our settings for load balancing is not enough? ( We added "Load Balancing= On" on tnsnames.ora on client for load
    balancing)
The following machine configuration is used for Oracle RAC setup
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz,
    Ram :4GB.
    OS : windows 2008 Server 64 Bit
    Oracle RAC 11g , Clusterware 11g R2 , ASM with 5 raw disk ( 1- votting disk ,1- ocr files and 3 disk files)

    which documentation you have followed?

  • Can't install odac on Windows 2008 64 bit

After i run setup.exe, i get an error c0000374 in javaw.exe. Tell me please if odac officially supported on windows 2008 64-bit ?

Oh, and for those looking for the Win2k8 bundle , it's available now too, and should have the odac pieces built in.

Note that it wont have the Oracle Developer Tools though, as those are 32 bit since VS is 32 bit.

  • Deploying CF 9 Ent 64-bit on Windows 2008 64-bit

    Hello,
I'm getting ready to migrate 20 or so websites from CFMX 6.1 Ent (Win 2k3) to CF 9 Ent 64-bit on Windows 2008 64-bit and was wondering if it made sense to tweak the jvm.config file. I looked around on Adobe's site for any guidance regarding "best practices" for JVM tuning under CF 9 but couldn't find anything. Also, most of the articles I've come across related to CF and modifying the JVM seem pretty dated. In any event, the server will have 32 GB of RAM and running a single processor, Quad Core Intel Xeon L5520 (Win 2008 Std 64-bit).
Can someone provide some insight regarding whether it's needed or even recommended to modify the JVM config?
    TIA

    Hello
I did a talk recently on JVM.CONFIG related matters at the CFMEETUP site. There is a recording you can view:
    http://www.meetup.com/coldfusionmeetup/pages/Recordings%20of%20the%20ColdFusion%20Meetup-2 010
Like the others mention, it is an area that is hard to say do this or that in a quick forum entry. The “out of the box settings” may well suit your needs - so if it is not broken why touch it.
On Win64 and CF9 64 I find adjustments to the maximum heap setting and MaxPerm settings are good, having said that the minimum settings are also important. You need to be aware of what is in the “OUT logs” and how the JVM is working to know if changes are useful or indeed needed.
    HTH, Carl.

  • Web Pages do not display after new installation on Windows 2008 64 bit

    Hi All...
    Environment: Window 2008 64 bit.
Installing: Latest WebTools compatible with 64 bit.
    Installed: 2.0 asp.net
After installing webtools in this environment we attempt to register/request the license.
After clicking on the request - windows prompts you to open.
If you attempt to open, you are asked which program to open with...?
    That seems odd.
At this point this is all I have and am stuck as the system is inaccessible.
    Rob.

    Bryce...
    This did help.
Also - I discovered that the webserver was not previously connected to the domain and was not inheriting permissions.
    Steps Taken:
Uninstalled the IIS and ASP Roles from the web server as local server administrator.
    Joined web server to domain.
Added the IIS and ASP Role.
    Re-installed webtools.
    Registration launched - no exceptions.
    Gracias.

  • DB Migration to Windows 2008 64 bit

    Hi,
We have our 10g PROD system running on windows 32-bit version. Is it possible to migrate that 10g DB to Windows 2008 64 bit version?
If yes, export/import is the only procedure to do this or any way of handling is there?
Could you please advise all the possibilites regarding this and would appreciate if you can suggest me any documents or note id's.
    Thanks,
    Rajesh

    Hello,
Yes, with Export/Import you can transfer data even across different Plateform. So there's no
problem to export from 32 bit database and import into 64 bit database.
However, as you are in 10g, I suggest you to use DataPump (expdp / impdp) which is the new
Export / Import utility and is more powerful.
Else there're other methods to migrate database accross plateform.
You can use RMAN (so as to CLONE and CONVERT your database) and Transportable Tablespace too.

  • Problems with RH 8 and Windows 2008 64-bit servers with IIS7?

I have been informed that my company's servers are being upgraded to Windows 2008 64-bit servers with IIS7, from Windows 2003 & IIS6. Probably will be online in April 2011.
I have a project created using WebHelp, RoboHelp HTML v5. I have RoboHelp HTML v8 (haven't had a chance to use it yet). We are currently using IE7 on XP. Does anyone have any info on issues with RoboHelp v8 WebHelp projects running on Windows 2008 64-bit servers & IIS7 that I need to be concerned about? I thought I should convert the project developed using RH 5 to and RH 8 project, then FTP it to the new server when it becomes available.
Any helpful info would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Alden

Acrobat 8 is not certified for Win7, particularly the x64 version. If you got the installation to go, the first step is to update AA8 to at least AA8.2. The x64 with XP required at least AA8.2 and I suspect that has not changed. I would suggest updating to the latest, either from the help menu (until no more updates are available) or by downloading the updates from the adobe.com>downloads page. For the latter, download ALL updates after your current version and install them in ORDER. They are not cummulative in most cases. You only need to reboot after the final update. The updates may get you going. If not, you may simply have to upgrade to AA9 or search for what others have been able to do in your situation.

  • Oracle Warehouse Builder 10.1.0.4 on Windows 2008 - 64 bits

    Hi Gurus.
I'm currently working with a customer who wants to migrate all their database-servers to Windows 2008 on 64-bits processors. They're using Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4) and Oracle Warehouse Builder (10.1.0.4). The OWB-clients will still run on Windows XP. I've used the "Certify"-funcionality on Metalink, but it doesn't really answer my questions. (It does* ansver some of my questions, but it also raises a few new ones....)
My main question is: Can you run serverside OWB 10.1.0.4 on Enterprise Edition 10.2.0.4 for Windows 2008 64-bits?
    Thanks in advance:-)
    Best regards
    Helge

    No.
Oracle Warehouse Builder version 10.1.x was desupported on 16-JUL-2007.
The desupport notice is available on Metalink (Note 376384.1).
The Warehouse Builder installation as part of the 11.1.0.7 installation should be certified, but I cannot find specifics.

ThanksInstall the Oracle client and use the Oracle driver. You're going to need it whether you use the MS driver or Oracles. ODBC drivers do not work apart from the client of the underlying database product.
When you do the install, you will need to do a custom install and specifically select for the Windows components.

  • Windows 2008 64-bit SQL Server 2008 64-bit Linked Server fails - ODBC connects but has issues

Installed the 64 but Oracle 11g client and Oracle ODAC.
From SQL Server Management Studio run script :  exec master.dbo.xp_cmdshell 'PING OracleHostNameHere'        Ping was successful
OraOLEDB.Oracle shows up in the Provider list.  Run This Script:
    EXEC master.dbo.sp_MSset_oledb_prop N'OraOLEDB.Oracle', N'AllowInProcess', 1
    GO
    EXEC master.dbo.sp_MSset_oledb_prop N'OraOLEDB.Oracle', N'DynamicParameters', 1
    GO
    EXEC master.dbo.sp_addlinkedserver @server = N'Nav14', @srvproduct=N'Oracle', @provider=N'OraOLEDB.Oracle', @datasrc=N'TheOracleHostName'
    EXEC master.dbo.sp_addlinkedsrvlogin @rmtsrvname=N'TheOracleHostName',@useself=N'False',@locallogin=NULL,@rmtuser=N'TheUser',@rmtpassword='ThePassWord'
Msg 15015, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_addlinkedsrvlogin, Line 49     The server 'TheHostName' does not exist. Use sp_helpserver to show available servers.
Did the same process on a Windows 7 32 bit Enterprise - ODBC Works after installing ODAC
ODBC worked, shows list of Oracle servers - picked the server - ODBC successful - MS Access able to use that ODBC service.
In Windows 2008 64 bit installed both Oracle 11g Client and 64 bit ODAC - ODBC opens, the list of oracle servers doesn't populate, hard code in the host name - ODBC reports Success.
Another Person Suggested:  Win7 64-bit with Oracle 11g. Oddly enough, it ran differently when I opened a command prompt window as administrator and ran setup.exe with the suggested command-line options:
setup.exe -debug -printtime -printmemory -printdiskusage -logLevel finest
While it had previously been failed both by running setup from the Explorer windows as administrator and by running it from the command line as administrator - it died every time at the same point mentioned by others in this thread - just after this message appeared in the log:
    Get view named [SummaryUI]
( I have tried re installing with no success)

    Windows 7 Enterprise 32-Bit
Installed the version 12 for 32 bit ODAC and it worked. The key is to Install as Administrator once it is unzipped.
Was able to set up Listener then
Was able to set up ODBC using the ODAC. Connect MS Access 2010 to the Oracle views.
Then, tried to install the 64 Bit onto Windows 2008 Server.
It locked up during installation both times.
    Installed ODAC without an error.
However, the ODBC setup will not provide a list of the servers in the ODBC  TNS Service Name listbox for Server 2008.
In Windows 7, it populates the TNS Service Name.
The list box in Windows 2008 is empty.
Do you know what would cause that?
The .ORA file scrips look the same on Windows 2008 as they do on Windows 7 except it does not have the (server = Dedicated) argument.
    Thanks.

Can i use Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (x64) for windows 2008 64 bit?
I need to install 10.2.0.1 than uprgade it 10.2.0.3 for my purpose,
    In installation guide it says:
Oracle Database is supported on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 with the 10.2.0.4 release. Use the Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4) for Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 media available in the 10.2.0.4 media pack and the Oracle Technology Network site. Do not install Oracle Database on Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 using the media for Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2) for Microsoft Windows.

  • Can we run domain controller windows 2008 32 bit and additional domain controller on 2003 server

im my environment we are trying to upgrade from server 2k3 to 2k8, out testing done on server 2k3 to 2k8, but can we run domain controller windows 2008 32 bit and additional domain controller on 2003 server ...kindly suggest
    Nitin Gaurav
    [email protected]

Yes you can. If you have two 2003 AD servers currently and upgrade one of them to 2008 AD then they'll continue to be able to work together. The domains functional level will remain as 2003 across both servers so at this stage you won't get any benefit from
the new AD functionality available in 2008.
Once you've then upgraded the second 2003 server to 2008 you can then upgrade the functionality levels in AD to make it 2008. It's been a while, but I believe it doesn't happen automatically, so once all AD servers have been upgraded you have to go into
AD and upgrade the functionality levels yourself.
