Trusted password/ SSO/ transparent login of workspace 11.1.2.2

Hy there,
I am looking for a way to set up the transparent login wit a trusted password to logon to workspace 11.1.2.2.
I am half way my solution If you can give me an idea to set up the trusted password.
We have this working for years i our workspace 9.3.1 environment but I am a bit lost in the 11.1.2.2 menu's.
Anyone a idea?

thank you. Its not quite the answer I hoped for, but your faster than Oracle support to come up with this answer ;-)
nevertheless I am supprised that Oracle took away this nice/ often used feature.
perhaps stiil someone in the hood knows a way to set up a trusted password configuration.
In the meantime I am going to set up kerberos authentication for SSO. But thats only part two of my issue ;-)

You might want to try bouncing Shared Services and Workspace.
I occassionally have trouble with my VM if I don't shut down properly.

hi i am trying to login to workspace....shared services ....... web analysis with the default Uername and password,but it throws me an error
"There was some communication error.Please try again."
and

and

I can login to EAS with the same username and password.
i have my Oracle DB on windows xp box,Oracle application server and the hyperion on another windows 2003 box.

Users not able to login to Workspace V 11.1.2

Greetings,
We changed the Admin password yesterday and today few users are not able to login to Workspace and some users are getting some warning messages in webforms.We are using V 11.1.2 .
Follwing are the warning that users are getting:
You must suply a valid user name and password to log onto the system.
URI:https:// xxx:xx/browse/dyn
Code: -3
Description: An error occured processing the result from the server.
Has anyone faced similar issue?

but I suspect your going to first have to create a data recovery drive
Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
to get your data off the machine,
then do a #20 to eliminate the bad sectors as that's why your getting the "pinwheel" it's getting a delay reading from the drive, right when your trying to log in too, what a bad spot for it to happen.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

Create a user through the API and "Prompt user to change password after next login".

Using the Adobe Connect Interface, I can create a user and check the checkbox to "Prompt user to change password after next login".
Can I achieve the same result using the API? The principal-update action doesn't offer such an option and, as far as I can tell, there isn't another action to do so either.

You can achieve it as part of your application functionality, but not as a configuration option on WLS.

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. Referring admin guide as mentioned by Craig is good option.
Let me give you few steps that I did in one of my projects.
Open command prompt and navigate to the path "C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\DataRelationshipManagement\client\batch-client".. here you can see many see other utilities as well.
drm-batch-client-credentials.exe is the one used to encrypt the userid and password.
open this in command prompt and then choose the application to which you want to encrypt the password.
then remove userid and password from batch script then run it... it does what you want

Force change password on next login

Hi,
i use access manager 7.1 patch 1 and directory server 5.2 patch 4 and want force the user to change his password on the next login.
I try to check manually the option "Force change password on next login" of one user by Access Manager GUI but don't work.
The LDAP attribute "iplanet-am-user-password-reset-force-reset" is TRUE but when i try to login Access Manager don't force me to change password.
anybody can help me?

Also we would like few more details:
When has this issue started occurring, was this after installation of any specific adobe product.
On which platform are you seeing this.
Also we would like to know if after above steps this issue occurs ever again in future.

How can we disable user to login Hyperion Workspace

We understand we can set to admin mode for Hyperion Planning so that only administrator can login the system. Any other ways to disable users to login Hyperion Workspace? We are using Hyperion version 11.1.1.1

Thanks John. We just want to disable user using FR report prepared in Reporting Studio and put under "Explore" of Workspace. We found that we can't do that once the user is login into Workspace. The only way we can do is to setup the security setting of each FR report based on the group setting.

Changing user password on first login

Hi all,
I'm using a customised login panel on my external facing portal homepage. I have changed the look and feel of default sap login screen by modifying the logon.par file.
Now, I want to replicate the standard portal scenario. When an user logs in for the first time then a change password screen should be displayed (same as when we create a new user and log-in to the portal).
The problem as of now is that when i create a new user through user management and try to login to my external facing portal using this user id then it doesn't login nor it shows any error messages nor any password change prompts.
Please help me in this regard.

It great that you have modified the Login par but have to done the necessary changes , refer to this weblog
Modifying The Logon Par(or customising the Logon Screen)
for changing Password at first login
Start the Config Tool C:usrsap<SID><instance>j2eeconfigtoolconfigtool.bat
Ex: D:usrsapF02JC00j2eeconfigtool --> configtool.bat
Navigate to cluster-data --> Global server configuration --> services --> com.sap.security.core.ume.service
Look for the property "ume.logon.security_policy.password_change_allowed = TRUE"
Save & Restart the J2EE engine.

Error when trying to login to workspace

Hi All,
We get the following error message when trying to login to workspace:
"You do not have sufficient permission to login to your default folder or the folder no longer exists. Please contact your administrator for assistance."
It happens with every user, even with the built-in "admin". The strange thing is that we can login to Shared Services, Essbase, and other components as well. So Shared Services seems to be working. We created a new user in HSS, and we got the same error message when login. Yesterday there was still everything working, and we don't see any reason for this complication. We also checked the logs...
Do you have any idea? Do you know where workspace stores the default librarys of users?

PS: We're using version 9.3.1.

There can be many reasons for this - but to start with perform a openldap sync using the sync utility provided under UpdateNativedir - utilities folder. What kind of authentication system are you using. If its external authentication - a refresh of the auth systems may cause the access controls and provisioning details to disappear - check that one ...
These are the two I can think off - more details will help.

Ok here we go:
1- You have to restart your MBA holding down the Command+S keys, and this will take you into Single User Mode and it’s Terminal interface.
2- Then you have to check the filesystem. to do this you have to type the following command in the terminal interface:
fsck -fy
3- Then you have to mount the root drive with write option enabled so you can apply and save any changes. Type this in the temrinal interface:
mount -uw /
4- And then type this command exactly as you see it here:
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
5- Reboot your MBA by typing this in the terminal interface:
reboot
6- After you reboot, you will be see the “Welcome Wizard” startup screen. Follow the wizard and create a new user account. This new account name must be different from the one you already have
7- Continue and boot into your Mac OS X with the new account you have just created, this new user account is an Administrator and has administrative access
8- Now that you're logged in, go to System Preferences
9- Click on Users & Groups
10- Click on the Lock icon and use your newly created user name and password if asked. This will allow you to make changes to other user accounts
11- On the user panel select the user account whose password you cannot change and then click on the Change Password... button and enter your new password.
12- Delete, or grant administrative privileges to that old account
13- Reboot/restart your MBA and now you can log back in with your old account. If you want you can delete the user account you created following this steps.
