Trusted RFC connection Problem
Hello,
Trusted RFC connection between two systems when the results are negative. The error we get is "You Are Not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)." But everything looks smooth (kernel, logfiles, etc.).. S_rfc users and has s_rfcacl objects. Where do you think could be problem?

Hi,
In addition to the auth object, First make the entry in SMT1 with the normal RFC here the rfc should not be enabled as trusted.
Then create an entry in the target system as well, one the entries are made in tcode SMT1 in both the systems, then enable both the RFC's as trusted RFC it will work fine then.

Recurring RFC connection problems
Hi!
I really need some help. We have been experiencing RFC problems for a few months now and our basis team have no clue as to what the problem might be. The problem is that on a daily basis we experience RFC connection problems. It usually happens at about 7am in the morning and lasts for an hour. After that the problem clears itself and for the rest of the day runs smoothly.
We clearly see this problem on our RFC connection to the IBM MQ message server which handles all our incoming and outgoing IDOCS. This is however not the only RFC problem as we have also had RFC connection failures when switching between instances in SM51. This suggests to us that it is probably not a network issue, although the MQ server is housed in a different data center than the SAP servers.
We are running ECC6 and our environment looks like this:
4 hosts running 5 instances: 3 hosts with one instance and 1 host with 2 instances.
While this problem is occurring you can do a connection test in SM59 to MQ which is usually successful. In SMGW we have picked up that it is trying to establish multiple connections to MQ, some connects successfully and some cannot connect. In ST11 in the RFC trace files the error message says that the MQ connection times out.
While monitoring the MQ server we cannot pick up any problems. The MQ server itself seems to run without errors. The only problem is that it cannot connect to SAP to send IDOCS and SAP cannot connect to MQ. The load on the MQ server while this error occurs is minimal compared to the rest of the day.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? Are there any other places other than the ones mentioned in this mail where we can check for errors?
Thank you in advance!
IwanHi Marcelo,
In SM59, just select the RFC and above in same screen you can see the options
RFC----- Display Trace (Shift + F8)
Check the trace file and see if there is any connection problem between the two system.

Hello All,
We are setting up communication between R/3 4.7 and SCM 5.0 system for EWM (Extended warehouse management) with RFC connection and using IDocs to transfer data from one box to another box.
IDoc from R/3 to SCM system is working fine, we are able to complete the transactions in SCM system and after successful completion all transaction in SCM it should trigger Idoc for R/3 which is not happening.
It throws error as <b>"An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system XXXCLNT123"</b>
We have checked SM59 (RFC connection), WE20 (Partner profile), WE21 ( IDoc port connection) it seems fine.
Interesting thing is we are able to get information about stock from R/3 system in SCM system which are correct information.
Can anyone give some idea if we are missing something to check?
Thanks & regards
Arif MansuriHi Team,
We have the same problem , which was mentioned above. Please let us know, which Message type need to be used for sending the stock information to ERP after Delivery completion
The following Process we followed
PO Creation---ERP
Inbound delivery-ERP
Inbound Delivery Process-EWM
WareHouse Task-EWM
Unloading-EWM
WareHouse Task/WareHouse Order Confirmation-EWM
Once the WT/WO is confirmed , Goods receipt status is updated automatically and "Post Processing Framwork (PPF) status shows with RED and error message says."An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system E6SCLNT900"
Here I have one doubt, We have maintained client names as A0000039 (for EWM,but original client name is SC7CLNT100 ) and E6SCLNT900 ( for ERP , original client name also E6SCLNT900)
Will there be any issue with A0000039?(because we did not maintained as per the original client name ie SC7CLNT100)
Thank you for your help
Thank you -
RFC Connection Problem between Production Server & Solution Manager
Hi,
I want to make a RFC Connection between Production Server & Solution Manager.
But when go through Tcode- SM59 and click on Remote Logon from Production to connect Solution Manager it showing me a Client/Userid/Password window and when i connect go through Solution Manger to Production Server it connects normally. I already done the same process in both the clients, as i already mentioned Logon details in the Logon/Security tab but why it is showing me Client/Userid/Password pad when i am login through Production to SolMan?
+Tell me where the actual problem is! In my Solution Manager end or in my Production Server end +
I want to access Solution Manager from Production Server on just clicking once on Remote Logon from Tcode- SM59.
Thank you.

RFC connection problem in ECC 4.7 and ECC 6.0
Hello friends,
Created RFC connection in 4.7 version of SAP and used it in a java program. (STFC_connection) was the function module used.
it all worked fine. Later when i tried the same thing in ECC 6.0 it failed and throws communication_failure exception .
please guide me in this issue.Hi...
Check the Unicode/Non unicode status in MDMP&UNICODE tab present in transaction SM59 while chking the connection.
if your ECC6.0 is unicode system then you need to check the radio button present for Unicode in MDMP&UNICODE tab.

RFC connection problem during SRM - R/3 integration
Hi,
Our environment is SRM 5.5 server with 2 R/3 backend systems. One of the R/3 systems is in another country. We happen to have RFC problems during the communication between the SRM and R/3 server.
Below you can find the SM21 log related to an operation on SRM server. What might be the reason for this problem? Does anyone know the solution?
Many thanks

R/3 - XI - R/3 RFC connection problem
hello friends,
I have a scenario which is R/3 -> XI -> R/3.
Since i do not have another R/3 system i am trying to configure sender and reciever on the same system with different clients.
The sender configuration is working fine. Please tell me the setting for the reciever configuration.
Current settings that i have done are --
Message server - <host name>
Message server service - 3600
System Id - <system id>
Logon group - public
When i try to execute the BAPI_USER_GET_DETAIL BAPI it gives me the following error --
<b>"lookup of binding via CPA-cache failed for AdapterType RFC, AdapterNS"</b>
thanks in advance,
Abhi<i>Please can you tell me how to access these Notes. I have never been able to find any such notes :(</i>
For this you need to have SAP service MArket Place id.
Go to https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/notes then give the ,give mentioned SAP Note number-
Anyway the content of the note wrt this problem is here- from SAP Note- 730870
<i>Q 19: While sending a RFC call to the RfcAdapter I get a error message like "com.sap.aii.af.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: lookup of binding via CPA-cache failed..." or "com.sap.aii.af.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: senderAgreement not found: lookup of binding via CPA-cache failed...". What is missing?
A: The RfcAdapter trys to find a Sender Agreement for this RFC call but the lookup failes. The values used for this lookup are:
Sender Party/Sender Service: The values from Party and Service belonging to the sender channel.
Sender Interface: The name of the RFC function module.
Sender Namespace: The fix RFC namespace urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions
Receiver Party/Receiver Service: These fields are empty. This will match the wildcard '*'.</i>
BTW, did you recheck your RFC adapter configuration. And activate it.

RFC connection problem BW3.5
Hi all,
we are trying to configure the connection between a BW3.5 and a CRM4.0 box.
Neither the automatic source system creation nor the SM59 setup is working.
When testing the connection, we get a 'Gateway' error message.
The BW system is already talking to a R/3 box and the CRM box as well.
Any ideas?
Thanks & Best Regards,
EricThe Basis guys reviewed the technical settings of the BW system and figured out that some services were not properly defined.
Sorry, I dont have further details on hand. -

V.02 use different RFC connection
Hello all,
We have a situation that when a user executes V.02 in R3 and then clicks on an incomplete Sales Document it jumps to the SCM system to do an APO Availability Check. The problem is that it uses a RFC connection with a system user and when you are in the SCM system you've got full access. Is there a way to force V.02 to use a specific RFC connection to jump to SCM so I can set that RFC connection to use current user and log into SCM as the same user that's logged into R3?
Thanks,
Tom> 2.2 Yes, I would like to setup a new RFC connection to SCM and set as a trusted RFC connection with current user but how do I force V.02 to use that specific RFC connection and not one that used for job...extractions..etc that has the system user in it?
There must be config which is calling the RFC function using a destination to the SCM system. Normally I just debug the call and look to see where the rfcdes value is coming from. I have also seen it hardcoded on a few occations using sy-sysid - also a form of config, even if a rather hollow one...
Personally I would try to group them into usage cases, and not necessarily "modules" or anything like that.
> 1. Dont want to restrict the RFC user as it's used for jobs, extractions...etc.
This is a nice example.

Trusted RFC: "jumping to PRD system from DEV via SOLMAN"
Hallo!
I have the following question regarding the Trusted RFC generally in SOLMAN area and better especially within ChaRM.
We have SOLMAN and 3 satellite systems DEV, QAS and PRD.
When we generate Trusted RFC connections from SOLMAN to these satellite systems, we become scared about the following scenario:
A user accesses to DEV system and goes via Trusted RFC to SOLMAN.
From SOLMAN he chooses the Trusted RFC to PRD system and goes into PRD system.
The question:
How can this identification gap/problem be solved?
Thank you very much indeed!
H. ThomassonHi Thomasson,
You can restrict the access of your solman system from your DEV system.
Disable the trusted relationship in the RFC that points to Solman from Dev system.
Hope this helps.

Kiran. -

H. ThomassonHolger,
First of all the user that tries to launch the TRUSTED RFC needs to have an active user in the satellite system he/she tries to reach.
Secondly, this user needs to have the authorization object S_RFCACL assigned to its user.
You can manually change this TRUSTED RFC to 'Logon Screen' if you like.

Hi,
We have recently decoupled WD applications such that critical data is read using RFC calls to another system or client.I am facing problems in RFC connection configuration. In sm59,in the tab logon and security,I want to configure connection for current user.I think it'll require setting up of trusted system, which I don't know how to do.Could you help me by providing suggestions on what else I could do?
VikramDo you want to setup a trusted RFC connection? I can't really tell from your question what you want. Do you just always want to use the current logon user for the RFC - if so then you do need to setup trusted RFC. Trusting relationships are fairly simple to setup, although all users you access a trusted RFC must have a certain security profile. Have a look at the online help:
