Trustees not syncing to OES2 SP2 64-bit NSS

At first I thought this was a fluke, but this is the third volume now that I've migrated from NetWare 6.5.8 NSS to OES2 SP2 Linux 64-bit in an NCS mixed cluster
The NSS volume mounts fine, but the trustees are not being synced/converted
I thought this was supposed to happen automatically?
Apparently not
I can manually sync them and they'll work fine
Is there supposed to be some command in the load/unload scripts that has to be there to do this?
I looked at the cluster convert preview and I don't see any "sync" operation and I don't see anything on the /var/log/messages either.

Okay we THINK we got it working.
It seems to only work if you OFFLINE the resource on NetWare and then ONLINE it onto OES2
vs
MIGRATING the resource from NetWare to OES2
don't ask me why, but it only seems to work that way
I've got log files from the "migration" method that show it never kicks off the trustee sync
but if you offline/online then it DOES kick off the trustee sync (albeit a few minutes AFTER the resource is onlined so it's a little slower and not as much feedback as if you run the sync manually).

Tungsten t3 will not sync with Windows 7 64 bit using cradle sync any suggestions?

Try a low-tech solution.  Check the condition of the HotSync port connection on both the T3 and the cradle.
Look for any possible corrosion, coating, or bent fingers in the cradle.  Sometimes a good cleaning with either Contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol can work miracles!   (Use a q-tip swabbed in it, do not pour it onto the PDA).

I assume that you have synced with Outlook before and it has stopped working.  If you've never connected with Outlook before, take a look here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1418 .  If that did not help try chosing Windows Contacts to sync.  Does that work (contacts show up in Contacts folder on your PC)?

  • 7th gen nano will not sync with I tunes 64 bit on windows 8.1

Apparently there was a thread regarding this a day or so ago and someone posted that you have to hide the left tool bar. I cannot find the function under the view menu to do so. Can someone possibly explain why this is happening. Its not that my music will not sync. Its that the I Tunes cant even see the ipod.

The article linked below details a number of steps that can help get iTunes to recognize your iPod.

  • Droid Incredable not syncing with Windows 7 64 bit

I have tried everything and this wont sync with my windows 7 OS. I tried on my Laptop and my desktop both with same OS. It will recognize at first attempt and load the drivers. That is as far as it will go. I get a message in my device panel REV 4 controller not supported by Microsoft. If in fact that is even the device that it is referring to. My SD card is mounted. I tried the sync all, I selected hard drive, I selected HTC sync. Any suggestions. I think this is a compatible with 64 bit.

  • Photostream not syncing on windows 8 64 bit

I have tried everything I can think of to get the photostream synced. Signed in, signed out, signed back in, no good.  Uninstalled, reinstalled, no good. Deleted cache files, no good. My photostream folder will show 5 pictures most of the time, and the most I got it up to was 39. Please Helppppppppp!! Apple products are supposed to be seemless.

As of version 2.1 of iCloud Control Panel, it IS supposed to support Windows 8. It says so in this Apple Support article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455
That being said, there's obviously some issues with getting it to run on Windows 8. Since I made this post I eventually did get it working, but I tried SO MANY different troubleshooting steps trying to fix it, that I have no idea what it was that actually solved the problem.

  • IE9 will not install on VISTA SP2 32 bit

Windows Update requires 25-30 minutes JUST to create a "restore point"!!  It takes another 25-30 minutes to get the error message 5B4.  That's an hour for that message!  I followwed one article to go to Internet Options, Advanced
tab, and RESET settings button, which eliminated history and add-ons.  I then followed the next step Administrator Command Prompt: "spc /scan now" ENTER.  There were some errors in SYSTEM 32 that it could not fix.  I tried the command
prompt again.  This time no errors were found.  Now, Windows Update is run again.  It said successful for IE9; but, NO EMAIL WOULD OPEN!  I used Microsoft Fix-It Center, and it reverted back to IE7, along weith a completely brand new
Windows Update with no history.  [I used several programs on the Fix-It Center list including (in a different order) IE Performance (disabled data prevention), Performance, Files and Folders, Windows Update (noticed my prior failures with no solution,
so it reset it and said to restart after troubleshooter finished--was the last one used), System Maintenance, Hardware detection!] Now, it repeats the "unknown error 5B4".  My total time so far is OVER 8 hours!
PS I already have Service Pack 2 reinstalled several times.

Could you che ckout which SATA mode is selected in BIOS? AHCI mode is needed in order to Win7 worked properly. Do not change mode if it has another value.

Anyone have any ideas?
Go to the Event Viewer (Control Panel || Administrative Tools || Event Viewer) and look under Windows Logs || Application. Do you see any Bonjour errors? Since Windows 7 recognizes the camera part of the iPhone (nicely done Win7 integration!) Microsoft is probably not the culprit here.
Uninstall/reinstall iTunes is part of the process, but you also have to make sure you uninstall all the other components Apple installs (Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour for Windows, QuickTime), do a reboot, and then install everything from scratch. That may fix the problem.
This is exactly what an Apple guy talked me through over the phone. (I think I even uninstalled Apple Software Updater) I had a similar problem with the iPad on Win7 x64 - it was Bonjour that is the culprit. The x64 flavor of Bonjour for Windows is not as stable as the 32-bit version.
But everything has been golden for me since the reinstall...
    Give that a try.
Then if not, you could start looking to see if there is another ZeroConf/SSDP provider that is conflicting with Apple's somehow.

  • WiFi Sync for Windows 7 64 bit will not sync

I have had this issue for the past several months my iTunes WiFi Sync will not recognize my iPhone on my WiFi network. So, I got to plug in the phone to sync and update apps alot. I very rarely can get the phone to sync with itunes to update apps and sync photos and what not. It has been happening ever since iOS 5.1.1 was released and iTunes 10.6.3 was released ever since then and now it doesn't want to recognize my phone on my wifi network, so i can not sync it without a cord. Prior to the 5.1.1 and 10.6.3 releases the phone and itunes had no issues everything would work just fine for that short period of time when 10.6.1 and 5.0.1 was around. I am trying to see if anybody out there has had the same issue or relatively close to it and maybe give me some suggestions to what I can do now to repair the issue and get itto sync wirelessly again without issue. Thanks so much in advance for any and all suggestions and help.

You have an older Mac that has 32-bit EFI
you need to use Windows 7 32-bit or modify the DVD.
    Select CD-ROM Boot prompt
    Stuck at Select CD-Rom Boot
Hint: Windows 7 SP1 update will need 8GB free space. Windows takes at least 16-20GB. Add in page file, hibernation (each size of physical RAM). Plus any programs and data you store. Cache and temp files (1-4GB) and you get the idea. you will find you can't even login to the sytem. Seen it happen.
old wives tale: double your best guess for how much RAM, disk space, whatever, to get a more realistic.
REMOVE the partition using BCA and create 40GB, being sure to leave 20GB free for Mac OS X volume also.

    Hi,
You did not mention whether you tried creating a test admin user, that might be worth trying.
You could trying uninstalling iTunes completely and then download fresh copy and use the 'right-click' then 'run as admin' approach to installing itunes.
How to completely uninstall iTunes... http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305409
You could try connecting the phone using forced recovery as described here... http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305797
    You do meet the requirements...
    Windows system requirements
    * PC with USB 2.0 port
    * Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate Edition; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
    * iTunes 7.5 or later
Let me know if anything mentioned worked... Good Luck!

  • Podcast not syncing because bit rate is not supported

For some reason 3 podcasts will not sync because the bit rate is not supported. How do I fix this so I can play them on my iPod. They are Video Podcasts.
    PC   Windows XP

Loaded HD is the High Definition version, intended for the Apple TV device. You cannot play this version on an iPod.
Look in the iTunes Store for the non-HD version - that should play. If you have trouble finding it, use the *Search iTunes Store* facility and it will appear in the Podcasts section. You may need to "see all".
