Trusting another network's authentication?

Is it possible to have Oracle Portal allow an Internet user access to a protected page without prompting for a user name and password if that users has successfully logged onto her network when that network is external to the Portal's network?
For example, I wish to allow my NASA customers access to Oracle Portal on my corporate network, via the Internet, without prompting for a user name and password, yet authenticating the user (or trusting NASA's authentication mechanism).
I am using Oracle Portal 10.1.2.2.0.
My external user may use Macs or Windows.

When I click on the Airport icon at the top of the
screen there is another network listed that isn't
mine. If I connect to it only a couple of the bars on
the Airport icon go black and I can't connect to the
internet. (I realise I have no business connecting to
someone else's network - I was just seeing if it
would work!) I assume this is a network in one of my
neighbours' homes.

network?
In what sense? What information do you need?
It is useful to know which channel it is on, so you can ensure that your network is on a different channel.
Presumably this means my neighbours can see
my network (it is WEP enabled though).
If you can upgrade to WPA it is more secure.
Am I able to
find out how many computers are on my network at any
one time to make sure I've not got intruders?

AD "Log on to" restriction causes RDP connections with network level authentication to fail

I am running a Server 2008 R2 environment and have recently enabled network level authentication for RDP connections. Since the change, users who have their logons restricted to specific servers via AD, now get an error when logging on via RDP:
An Authentication error has occured
The Local security authority cannot be contacted
After investigating this error and reading technet I found that removing the "log on to" restriction within their user object solved the problem even tho they had rights to this server. Adding the users client PC name to the "Log on
to" list also solves this issue.
My question is, is there another way around this? We have an environment where some users may require an RDP connection from a client PC not on the same domain (over VPN) as the server. It will not be practical to add many different client PC names
to the log on to list and I don't understand why client PC's must be specified in the Log on to list and not just the actual server they are logging onto.
Any pointers appreciated

I have just come across this problem on one of my client’s domains; they have recently enforced a policy to “Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (more secure)” and users with “Log on To” restrictions
on their account are no longer able to RDP using their second account.
After a lot of fiddling around I finally resolved the problem by adding the connecting computer name into “Log on To” list. Ultimately it appears that Network Level Authentication (NLA) requires authentication to take place on both the host initiating
the connection and the remote host.

ERROR: Could not activate cellular data network: PDP authentication failure

I have an iPhone 3g that was given to me by a friend a couple months ago. Before I got the phone i was on a plan with Softbank in japan with another cell phone. When i got the iphone i unlocked it so that i could use my old sim card with the iphone. everything worked out fine, i was unable to use the internet via 3g since it wasnt on my plan but i could text and make calls with no problem.
Everything was working fine until yesterday when i started getting this error message: "Could not activate cellular data network: PDP authentication failure"
once this happened i could no longer text or make calls. my iphone recognizes the sim card, shows one bar of signal, the network, and the 3g symbol. i have also rebooted, restored, reset network settings, and talked with Softbank; all had no help.
i have no idea how to fix it, any suggestions would be awesome.

All iPhones sold in Japan are sold carrier locked and cannot be officially unlocked by the carrier. If you unlocked it, it was by unauthorized means (hacked), and support cannot be given to you in this forum.
Hacked iPhones are subject to countermeasures by Apple, particularly when updating the firmware. It is likely permanently re-locked or permanently disabled.

Remote Desktop Network Level Authentication

Recently, I began getting failed connections from a Windows 7 Enterprise client to another Windows 7 Enterprise host where the host is requiring NLA. This has been a problem on and off for YEARS and I have found no link that can tell me to configure something
that I haven't already configured. Neither system underwent any configurations changes that I know of with the exception of Windows security updates/patches. In fact, some people in my company have the same issue while other do not. I can find no rhyme or
reason to it. Heres where I'm at:
"The remote computer requires Network Level Authentication, which your computer does not support. For assistance, contact your system administrator or technical support."
But I do. when i click the upper left hand corner of my RDP client window and select "About", I see this:

Every link I have looked at tells me to look at those things. Anyone got something new? :)
Also if someone knows how to log the RDP failures that would be cool too. Presently I have turned on Audit Other Security Events in GPO but it doesn't tell me if someone attempted to authenticate with a less then desirable security protocol.
As a fix, for now, I have reduced the security requirements on the host to not require NLA. <-- This is the only consistent fix I have ever seen that works.
By the way, just about every link I see also starts talking about setting up RD session host service. I am not running Windows Server 2008. This a Windows 7 to Windows 7 problem

On both Windows 7, Please go to System Properties,
Remote tab and make sure that Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication
is unchecked.
If problem persists, please check if there was any Windows updates need to install, if so, try to install updates for test.

Without your printer model numbers, readers can only give you vague general directions.
System Preferences > Print&Fax > ...
... shows a list of all set-up printers.
If you are having serious problems, it makes sense to "Reset the Printing System" (which also removes all printer set-ups) and add back each printer. It only takes a few minutes.

So only one imac, only one ipad..and so on simultain.
More over, all the divices are conect through wifi to air base but are not receiveing internet as i told above.
I need to disconnect one device to have internet on the second one from the same type!
Could somebody help me?

If your network configuration is:
Cable modem > (Ethernet cable) > [WAN] AEBS > (wireless) > Macs, then
AirPort Extreme Base Station Setup (AEBS) w/High-Speed Cable Modem
Modem/Router Power ReCycling
- Power-off the Cable modem, AEBS, & computer(s). (If possible, leave the modem off overnight.)
- Power-on the Cable modem; Wait at least 30 minutes.
- Power-on the AEBS; Wait at least 5 minutes.
- Power-on the computer(s)
Perform a "hard" reset of the AEBS.

Setup the AEBS
With the network components powered down, set up the AEBS, using the AirPort Admin Utility, connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to the LAN port of the AEBS, and then, try these settings:
AirPort tab

- AirPort Network Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
- Create a closed network (unchecked)
- Wireless Security: Not enabled
- Channel: Automatic
- Mode: 802.11b/g Compatible

- Connect Using: Ethernet
- Configure: Using DHCP
- WAN Ethernet Port: Automatic
Network tab
- Distribute IP addresses (checked)
- Share a single IP address (using DHCP & NAT) (enabled)
Once you verified that you can get Internet access for all of your computers, you should secure your wireless network. To do so, I suggest that you make these changes:
AirPort tab (optional)
- Create a closed network (checked)
Change Wireless Security
- Wireless Security: WPA Personal
Base Station Options - WAN Ethernet Port
- Enable SNMP Access (unchecked)
- Enable Remote Configuration (unchecked)
- Enable Remote Printer Access (unchecked)
Wireless Options
- Transmitter Power: 10%
Access Control tab (optional)
- + <add the computer(s) that will access this wireless network>

Remote Desktop Connection - Windows Network Level Authentication

I'm trying to find a piece of Remote Desktop "Manager" software for Mac which supports Network Level Authentication (NLA). When NLA is enabled on a Windows Server I am unable to connect via CoRD or Royal TSX.
The reason I say "Manager" is because I have many, many windows servers I need to connect to and so I like to use software such as the above to save a list of all the servers for ease of access - this saves me having to type in the name of the server each time.
At the moment, for those servers with NLA enabled, I have to fire up Remote Desktop Connection for Mac and enter the name. I realise I could save this each time but then I would have LOADS of shortcuts.
Any ideas/proposals on pieces of software that can cater for this?

Royal TSX actually supports NLA but you have to use the FreeRDP plugin instead of CoRD and enable the setting in the advanced settings of your RDP connection.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

If you have a data only plan for the iPad with your carrier, if no change after powering your iPad off and on you will need to contact your carrier.
