Try to publish ical - error "your .Mac account information is not correct"

I try to publish a calendar from my home computer so that I can see it on my work laptop (both Macs); and I get an error "Your .Mac account configuration is not correct. Calendar could not be published. Your .Mac account information is not correct. You cannot publish to .Mac until you have configured your .Mac account." Its setup and configured. Any ideas?

I had the same thing and did the following two things which got it to publish. Not sure which one fixed it but give it a go.
1. Open your .mac pane in system preferences. Sign out and sign back in.
2. Change the name of the calendar you're trying to publish.
Good luck!

  • I've moved and now the itunes store will not let me update my account to match the bank records. It gives me the error "Your credit card information does not match your bank records." when in fact it does.

Nothing on Apple's services has worked correctly since they started this iCloud c**p. Did anybody there actually think this through before implementing it? I can't get on iCloud because I only have one email account and it's associated with no less then three Apple IDs (their server hiccups and I get locked out.) Now I can't make purchases in iTunes.

If you are getting a message stating that you are not verified. Then you might have not received the iTunes Store verification email. You will need to contact iTunes Customer Support. They will be able to verify your store account. Then you will be able to sync your iPod Touch while signed into your store account. Your iPod Touch should allow you to purchase your Apps from that point on.

  • ICal on my .MAC account

I have created my calendar with all my reminders etc. Personal stuff. When I go to my .mac account, my calander does not show up. But I do have one that anyone can go to. I don't want anyone but me to view it. How can I do this and still have all the entries etc?

Your calendar can only synchronized though the .Mac Sync framework—or, alternatively, through the use of Sync Together—or, be published through .Mac or a private WebDAV server.
It is not accessible on—or viewable on—your .Mac account itself.
It is, in fact, published for all the world to see (or, at least those who know its URL) and is not password protected but, it is write-protected to everyone, including you. This means that it can only be edited by you on your machine, or using another synchronized machine with which that machine is synchronized through a .Mac account.

  • How do you set up more than one Personal domain name to your .Mac account

I have registered 3 domain names changed all the cnames to web.mac.com.
Now on the menu to set Personal domain on my .Mac account it only lets you add 0ne Domain name?
How do we add more or is there a limit?

You can only set one domain name. You can of course use other means to forward the other two to the one you have put in your .Mac Account Settings.

  • Can't publish -- ".mac member name is not correct"

    Hi everyone,
I am no stranger to iCal publishing, I have been using it for many years for business and personal use.
I came across a confounding issue today: my personal calender wouldn't refresh to my .mac account. I thought it might just be an issue of my internet connection at the moment, but a few hours later still the same problem. I unpublished the calendar and attempted to republish, but an error came up :
"Calendar could not be published. .Mac member name is not correct. Publishing to .Mac requires a properly configured .Mac account."
Okay, so I followed the button to my System Prefs, checked to make sure I was logged in. All that was fine, resync'ed just in case. I retyped my .mac username and password to make sure, but the error still comes up. I went online and checked...everything is working, mail, homepage, etc. but iCal refuses to publish. Restarted, repaired permissions, quit and restarted iCal...still nothing.
I can safely say I am stumped by this. Anyone have an idea?
    Thanks!

Well, it seems that the system has fixed itself...the calendar published without incident today. I guess it wasn't on my end!

  • .Mac Account in mail not sending outgoing mail

It is receiving but not sending out. It worked fine in the UK, but I am now in Canada....would this make a difference ?
    Any help appreciated.

If the internet service provider you are using in Canada is different from the internet service provider used in the UK, yes.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Account Information tab for your .Mac account preferences at the SMTP server selection, select the Server Settings below for the .Mac SMTP server.
Enter 587 in place of 25 in the Server Port field and when finished, select OK to save the changed setting.
If you are already using 587 for the Server Port and/or this doesn't work, have you relocated to Canada or are you just traveling there?

  • Did you know that Verizonwireless is saving your checking account information when you pay your bill by check and then making it part of your "MyVerizon"? This means of course if they get hacked that information could be compromised. What do you think of

Did you know that Verizonwireless is saving your checking account information when you pay your bill by check and then making it part of your "MyVerizon"  without you adding it? This means of course if they get hacked that information could be compromised. What do you think of this?

Credit card and debit card and checking and savings information is encrypted so it is possible to be hacked, but the odds are greater to get hit by the Love Boat then to have a wide scale hack.
Oh yes they do happen, Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, Target and quite a few others. But in all the years I have paid my invoice with saved card information I never been hacked.
You use good passwords and the risk is minimal.
    Good Luck

  • Is it necessary to "clean" your Mac?   I'm not s but I've been getting ads about cleaning your Mac.  What does it do?   Would it make surfing the web faster?  thanks

HI,    is it necessary to "clean" your Mac?     I'm not sure what that means or what it does but I've been getting ads that offer to clean it.  Would doing that make surfing the web faster?   Thanks!

    Suggestions for Mac maintenance
Make redundant backups, keeping at least one off-site at all times. One backup is not enough. Don’t back up your backups; make them independent of each other. Don’t rely completely on any single backup method, such as Time Machine.
Keep your software up to date. Software Update can be set to notify you automatically of updates to the Mac OS. Some third-party applications have a similar feature, if you don’t mind letting them phone home. Otherwise you have to check yourself on a regular basis.
Don't install crapware, such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” “extenders,” “cleaners,” “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” or "utilities." With very few exceptions, this kind of material is useless, or worse than useless. The more actively promoted the product, the more likely it is to be garbage. The only software you should install is that which directly enables you to do the things you use a computer for — such as creating, communicating, and playing — and does not modify the way other software works. Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it.
The free anti-malware application ClamXav is not crap, and although it’s not routinely needed, it may be useful in some environments, such as a mixed Mac-Windows enterprise network.
Beware of trojans. A trojan is malicious software (“malware”) that the user is duped into installing voluntarily. Such attacks were rare on the Mac platform until recently, but are now increasingly common, and increasingly dangerous. There is some built-in protection against downloading malware, but you can’t rely on it — the attackers are always at least one day ahead of the defense. You can’t rely on third-party protection either. What you can rely on is common-sense awareness — not paranoia, which only makes you more vulnerable. Never install software from an untrustworthy or unknown source. If in doubt, do some research. Any website that prompts you to install a “codec” or “plugin” that comes from the same site, or an unknown site, is untrustworthy. Software with a known corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash, must be acquired directly from the developer. No intermediary is acceptable, and don’t trust links unless you know how to parse them. Any file that is automatically downloaded from a web page without your having requested it should go straight into the Trash. A website that claims you have a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with your computer, is rogue.
Relax, don’t do it. Besides the above, no routine maintenance is necessary or beneficial for the vast majority of users; specifically not “cleaning caches,” “zapping the PRAM,” “rebuilding the directory,” “running periodic scripts,” “deleting log files,” “scanning for viruses,” or “repairing permissions.” Such measures are for solving problems as they arise, not for maintenance. The very height of futility is running an expensive third-party application called “Disk Warrior” when nothing is wrong, or even when something is wrong and you have backups, which you must have. Don’t waste money on Disk Warrior or anything like it.

  • FERT materials costed without error even if Accounting VIew is not maintain

    Hi Gurus,
    Please help with  this scenario.
in our client, they were able to run cost estimate for FERT materials even if accounting view is not maintained in the material master. in my understanding, costing run should generate error report that accounting view does not exist. Please advice.
    Thanks!

    Dear,
    Use T.code OMS2.
Select Material Type & Click on detail button.
See the quantity / Valuation area TAB.
    In Valuation Updating heading :
In No Valuation area button should be selected for Non value-added material.
Accounting view is mandatory for all Valuated Materials in material Master.
From valuation class it will fetch GL of material type to valuated material.
From Standard Price it would fetch price for STD cost estimation to run.
    Hope above will useful.

  • Adding an Account: The account information was not found

For some reason, my iCalendars were no longer syncing, so I deleted the account in iCal, and went to re-add it. When I try to re-add, I get this cryptic message:
The account information was not found.
The server has not specified a calendar home for the account at "/ -- http://cal.me.com/".
Does anyone know what's going on here. I've been trying for a number of days with no success.
    Thanks.

With iCal Server, every users has a particular server path to their calendar on the server. Have you attempted to see if iCal app can automatically find this path? Account template would be CalDAV.
