Installed update of Firefox, but cannot drag into applications folder, it indicates that "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges", so how can I complete the install?

I try to drag the app into the applications folder where an old app of firefox exists and it asks me if I want to replace it and after i say yes it gives me the operation cannot be completed message.

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. I agree with Kappy.. passing files and especially via wireless is slow as slow.
Just need to be sure your TC is the new AC model??
And the OS on the computer is Lion?
Have you completed the setup of the TC via the utility? You do still need to get internet via the TC so it has to be plugged into the main router..
Give us the full picture of the network.
Then we can help you get into it.. whether you should put your files on it is another question.

Games won't open, keep getting message that it can't connect to Games Center even when opened thru same; reset and reboot not help; any suggestions?

I keep getting messages that the games cannot connect to the game center. Even when I try to open using the "play" incon in the Game Center, I get the same message. The message refuses to do anything when I press either "cancel" or "retry,", it just sits there and the game won't open when it appears.
I have tried resetting the IPad, turning it off/on; re-syncing, etc., and nothing seems to work. Can any one suggest a way to get the stupid Game Center message to close or some other method to open the game?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Upgraded to Firefox 8 and rebooted but when trying to start FF get message that reboot is require to complete installation; same message if I try to re-install or uninstall FF. Writing this using Google Chrome.

Upgrade to FF 8 (from 3.6) appeared to go smoothly, as did reboot, on Acer desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium. But I get "reboot required to complete FF installation" every time I try to start FF. Tried to uninstall FF using Control Panel uninstall and also using the uninstall in my Mozilla folder--get same "reboot required" message. Tried to reinstall FF--same message. In short, FF totally inoperable--and I'm starting to like Google Chrome.

Download a fresh copy of Firefox for installation.
Uninstall your current Firefox version before installing but don't remove your profile data when you uninstall Firefox (do not select to remove personal data) or you will lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder. Remove the program folder for Firefox as well.

That message is usually a sign that you tried to roll back to an earlier build of iTunes, but occasionally I've seen it connected to a new upgrade. This technique should fix things.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

The DMG (disk image) file is the Firefox installation file that you can download from the Mozilla site and save to your desktop. You can double click that file to open the image.
From [[Installing Firefox on Mac]]:
* Once the download has completed, the disk image may open by itself and mount a new volume which contains the Firefox application. If you do not see the new volume, double-click the Firefox dmg icon to open it.
* A Finder window appears, containing the Firefox application. Drag the Firefox Icon into the Applications folder.

Unable to complete step 2 (drag icon into applications folder) when upgrading Firefox

I am trying to upgrade from Firefox 3.6.11 to 3.6.12.
Step 2 of the process says "Drag the Firefox icon into your applications icon.
First problem: I don't have an applications icon. Second problem, being creative I open Finder on my Mac and try to drag the Firefox icon into the applications folder. Won't work. Still shows I have Firefox 3.6.11 So I can't get beyond Step 2.
A second problem is that the download screen with the three steps continually fills the screen. So there is nowhere to show an Applications icon to drag the Firefox icon into. Every time I click on the Step 2 icon, the screen maximizes and covers anything underneath it.
Any suggestions?

When trying to click between red, blue and green in levels, the menu does not stay dropped down so that i can click on them

I go to New Levels > Levels> RGB> (red, blue, green).. the mouse won't click on red, blue, green, and levels keeps reverting back to just the RGB levels. I have the full version, I just installed on a new computer, and input the serial number without problems at install. Very dissapointed as I can't edit anything without doing simple levels editing. PLEASE HELP

I've already downloaded the latest version to my notebook but every time I try updating my ipad2 in iTunes I keep getting error message that it can't be completed.

(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
