  • In recent weeks many websites show "blocked plug-in". Clicking onto it reveals a notice that my Adobe Flash Player needs updating but I'm not able to do it because Step 3  of the update has "blocked plug-in" in it.

In recent weeks many websites on my OS X (10.6.8) have been showing a white patch with "blocked plug-in" on it preventing access to all of the site. When I
click onto it a message appears stating that my Adobe Flash Player needs updating and when I have downloaded the upgrade & moved  to Step 3 I get
a "blocked plug in" on it as well. How do I resolve this issue?

When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
You can also try these illustrated instructions from C F McBlob to perform a full "clean install", which will resolve the "Blocked Plug-in" message when trying to update via the GUI updater from Adobe.
Use the FULL installer for 12.0.0.44:  Flash Player 12 (Mac OS X)
And the instructons are here: Snow Leopard Clean Install.pdf

PS I'm still new to Macs so the more broken down the better.

Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.42 is the most recent version from Adobe. It is a pre-release version. I am using it without any noticeable problems.
The current stable version is Download 11.7.700.169.

  • Trying to download update to Adobe flash player - not working

I am trying to download an update to Adobe flash player, however, it is not working. I get to 25-30% download, then it stops, and won't complete. I thought it might be the computer. but the same thing is happening on my iMac. Both machines are running Yosemite. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

But if you want to format your mac by yourself, here is a instruction how to do it.

I am trying to be able to play games on my Blackberry 8230 and I do not know which Adobe Flash Player/Flash Lite to download.  I would appreciate any assistance to this question as soon as possible.

AFAIK, there is currently no support for Flashplayer on the Blackberry. Word at MAX was that future RIM devices will support flashplayer 10.1

  • Keep getting message from sites that Adobe Flash Player needs to be installed

I have a MacBook, OSX 10.7.5.  When I try to download a document, I am told that I need Adobe Flash Player and that I should download it.
When I look on the Adobe website, to check something, I see that the newest version of Flash Player is installed on my computer.  As a second choice, I was given, I could download Adobe Air, but that didn't work either.
I have no idea what I need to do to be able to get this information downloaded.
I'm not sure if this is the correct community of whom to ask this question.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Adobe flash player needed for ipad

i am trying to view a web site that requires adobe flash player. Is there a way to load adobe to ipad?

No, and you can look at those threads over there to the right, under More Like This, to see just about everything that can be posted on this topic, or use the Search communities box on the upper right.
You can try using Skyfire or similar apps available in the app store but none of them have sterling reviews.
