Trying to activate iMessage with Apple ID and get could not sign in check your network connections. Any ideas
Had to reset phone today. I am trying to activate IMessage using Apple ID it keeps giving me a message saying can't sign in check network settings and try again later. Anybody have a suggestion

Check Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Automatically>On. Make sure that the time zone setting is also set correctly.
If that didn't solve the problem, restart your iPad and try again. If that fails, reset your iPad and try again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Getting this messg on Factime "could not sign in, check your network connection", but I have Wifi activated and working with internet?? what can I do?
Usually it's because you are not making internet connection via wifi. Open Safari and see if it connects.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

I'm getting an error message "could not sign in check your network and try again" I've tried serval times, today and last night. I'm trying to upload to Go Daddy host. All my PW, Site URL and folder on server are correct /public_html. (I've used them to upload to FileZilla), with no problem except two pages are missing!
I've been using Muse since August with no problems, now it's causing me all sorts of problems!

I just got a new iPod touch and am trying to sign into the app store. I have created an Apple ID and got a confirmation that it it works but when I try to sign on I get the following message:
Could not Sign In
Server Error
What would be causing this?

After updating I can not get over 1000 songs from my library to play. I spent 2 hours with Apple support and he could not fix it. Anybody got any ideas?

I have successfully used iWork with Pages on my iPad 2 for several months. Just recently, it asks me to sign in with my Apple ID. I do so, and get the error message, "Your Apple ID couldn't be verified. Please check your network connection and try again."
Obviously I checked my network connection. No problems. I upload documents from Pages on my iMac, no problem. I can log into iCloud.com, and all my recent documents are there. I am just unable to upload directly to iWork from my iPad 2.I have this problem as well and it's driving me crazy. Since I do not have an airprint printer, I have to upload everything to iwork to be able to then send it to another program to print. So until Apple fixes this, I cannot print from my iPad.
VERY frustrating. This has been happening off and on for a couple of weeks. -
I get a message "The Itunes server could not be contacted, check your internet connection" when trying to check for Ipod Nano software updates. I have a 1st generation Nano and haven't updated the software for a while. My internet connection is working. Was thre a change in the internet address for NANO software updates? Do I have to reconfigure something in Itunes to point to the correct address?
What version of iTunes are you using? The latest is 10.6.3. In iTunes, choose Help -> About iTunes to check the version number. If it's lower than 10.6.3, download the latest version from here.

Make sure you back it up. and I would set up facetime before you reinstall your backup and make sure its working. -
I know that my apple ID and password are right because I checked online and I tried changing my DNS but nothing has worked. I am in college and use the university's wifi could that have something to do with it?
1. Log in as a local administrator.
2. Take the ownership of the C: driver.
3. Add your ID in security and give full access.
4. Change the NTFS permission back to normal.
5. Reboot the computer.

HI - I have a Macbook pro with OSX 10.6.8, and Intego Virus Barrier X6 and Personal Anti Spam. The anti spam isn't working with Apple Mail and even a reinstall hasn't worked. Anyone got any ideas?
I suggest following the steps found in the manual: Using Personal Antispam with Apple Mail and Microsoft Entourage or Outlook
When you first configured Personal Antispam, the program's Setup Assistant helped you configure your e-mail program (in your case: Apple Mail). You can run the setup assistant again by clicking General in the filter list and then clicking the Reconfigure... button.
