Trying to activate PS Elements 5.0

Every time I try to register the software, I get a message that there was a registration error indicating that an internet connection could not be found. My only options are to try again, or register later. My connection is working fine, so I'm at a loss as to why I can't register.
I have it installed on Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate edition, and other than this registration irritation the software works great. Any suggestions? Or will I have to call customer service?

IMHO, PSE-5 is the very best incarnation of the program, so I wouldn't sweat the money issue, you'll possibly only do more harm than good by "upgrading" to Adobe's newest "debacle" PSE-8. In the newer versions there is 16 bit support, whereas I don't believe there is in PSE-5. As a consequence of this PSE-5, (I don't believe), supports as many cameras in the raw format. Since Jpeg is an 8 bit only format, some cameras would only be usable with Jpeg output, despite their having raw output capability. This is where the camera manufacturers software such as "Nikon Capture" would come into play.
I saw somewhere else in the forum about Email support being a problem with Win 7 and versions of PSE earlier than PSE-8.

It's worth the trouble of a phone call phone call to register PSE. At the end of last year, I was able to buy a copy of Photoshop CS-4 for $300.00 due to the fact I have several registered copies of PSE. (One would have been sufficient, I think the deal was PSE-4 and above).

What is preventing you from using the serial number to activate it on the new machine? You are allowed to have two machines with activated installations so you should be able to with having to ask for a reset.
If you o need a reset due to having activated twice already then contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask for an activation reset...

How to activate the elements in KANK

We have created a new Controlling Area with a new Company Code.
All of the Finance config is done and basic PCA and CCA is required.
I have maintained all of the settings in OKKP, plan versions etc.
Now we are looking at t code KANK which is assigning the number ranges.
I have used this before, however normally for the Controlling Area the elements are there.
I have tried copying from "0001" but is says there are no elements assigned to my Controlling Area.
Can someone remind me how this is done, or what steps I have missed.

I agree with what you are saying, that was my udnerstanding too.
In OKC1 the values are there.
If I check 0001 as the Controlling Area the elements have been assigned to the groups.
However when I try and display my Controlling Area nothing is shown in the groups, ranges etc.
In the overview button there is nothing there for my Controlling Area just that for the other ones.
Have I created the Controlling Area wrong? Do I need to assign something to it to activate the elements to my Controlling Area?

Cannot complete action when trying to Activate Bug Tracking Modules

I am trying to activate the Bug Tracking Modules feature on a site, and the error message is: Cannot Complete Action.
I have been able to Activate this feature earlier on my site and they still work.
I can activate the Bug Tracking List Instances, but not the modules.
I run WSS30/MOSS with service pack 1

I am trying to activate the root account on my new Mac Book Pro. The instructions that I have found do not match what I have in System Preferences. What is the process when using Users and Groups. When I click on Join the Network Account Server- Open Directory Utility I don't see a option to activate root user as the instructions say at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1528

From the Apple menu choose System Preferences....
From the View menu choose Users & Groups.
Click the lock and authenticate as an administrator account.
Click Login Options....
Click the "Edit..." or "Join..." button at the bottom right.
Click the "Open Directory Utility..." button.
Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.
Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.
Choose Enable Root User from the Edit menu.
Enter the root password you wish to use in both the Password and Verify fields, then click OK.

Do you mean you cannot select "Enable Root User" from the "Edit" menu as shown below?
Why do you think you need to enable the root user? I've never needed it in the history of OS X.

It sounds like the cellular data will not activate for some reason on the iPad.
I found this article that will help you resolve this issue here, named iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular Models): Troubleshooting a cellular data connection, found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4249
Check for a carrier settings update.
Update your iPad.
Toggle the Cellular Data setting off and on under Settings > Cellular Data.
Restart your iPad.
Tap Settings > General > About. Locate the Carrier entry and make sure that your carrier is correct.
If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try turning it off: Tap Settings > Cellular Data > SIM PIN.
Make sure you're in an area of good coverage. If the cellular data connection works in another area, contact your carrier to report the original affected area.
Reset network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Restore the iPad as new.
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store, contact your carrier, or contact AppleCare to troubleshoot further.
I know you may have done one or two of the steps here, so you can skip those.

BW3.5: Error message when trying to activate the transfer rule

When I was trying to activate the transfer rule for one info object( charateristic with master data) , I got the following error in [[ ]]

Diagnosis
An error occurred when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCPIZGR00CC_ATTR as an IDoc segment in source system CI2220 .
System response
The action was terminated. No data was changed.
Procedure
Use the generation log in source system CI2220 to identify the error, and remove the cause.
CI2220 is the backend R/3 system, I had no issue in replicating the data source etc. this error occurred while trying to activate the transfer rule after assigning the info source to the replicated datasource in BW.
Can anybody tell me how to view( what transaction etc) the generation log to understand the issue?

Thanks for yoyur prompt reply, I would try to follow the instruction, but at the same time please note that previously we had no issue in activating the transfer structure. I would like to see the log in the source system, but don't know how to and which transaction to use etc. any help would be appreciated.

Sfasolo it appears you are installing Photoshop Elements as opposed to downloading Photoshop Elements. For the error you have described I would recommend reviewing Updated installation instructions | Premiere Elements 10 | Mac OS - http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/kb/updated-installation-instructions-premiere-ele ments.html.

iTunes version 10.7 requires at least Mac OS X version 10.6.8 if you're running a Mac, or Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later if you're running Windows.
Is your computer up-to-date enough for iTunes 10.7?

You can't activate any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone.
So, yes, you need to get a sim card.

You are allowed to have two activated installations. If you happened to have one on this Windows 8 machine before, it is possible that the activation used for it was never deactivated (did you deactivate it before you upgraded Windows?). Talk to Adobe support thru chat. They might be able to resolve this with you:
