Trying to add a HTML snippet but not working

i am trying to add an HTML code (from goole) to my iweb blog using the HTML snippet, but once I paste the code from google only an empty box appears instead of the button it is intended to create..
any ideas????? I am trying to add the google friends connect button to my blog

If you don't try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.

How to add html? The HTML snippet does not work. Whatever I add, (a "like button, SEO key words, etc.), does not appear on the site once published.

IWeb HTML snippet does not work, adobe flash player is blocking

Hi there I have a code that I embed in HTML snippet in iWeb 9 , but when it is loading a message pop out says that adobe flash player has block the iWeb from accessing the website. Please help

TS3694 I just updated my 4S to the new software and since I have done this it says it is searching for service. I have tried to back up and restore but not working!!

I just updated my Iphone 4S to the new software. Ever since I did the update it has been searching for cell service and I am not able to make outgoing calls or get texts. I have tried to back up and restore but it keeps giving me the error message 3002. I tried to click on the error number but there is no info about it. Could someone help?? Thanks

After I upgraded to Mavericks I was also having this message when I tried to update. There was a previous post about this problem which offered this simple solution which worked for me:

Got it! Thanx. What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed.

Can anyone advise me on what I would need to do since the maverick free upgrade didn't seem to work. Is there an earlier program that I missed? First, have you confirmed that your Mac is compatible with Mavericks? Here are the compatible models:
•     iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
•     MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
•     MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
•     MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
•     Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
•     Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
•     Xserve (Early 2009)
so an early 2007 Mac of any type would not be compatible. If you'll run the System Profiler app (in the Applications/Utilties folder) and tell us what is says for the Model Identifier in the Hardware Overview, we can confirm what model of Mac you have.

Tried to pre-order an album but not working. Please help!!!

I tried to pre-order an album. It was one that came with a song that downloaded immedietly. I clicked pre-order and it said some error and to try again. I went to and realized I was charged for that one song that you can get first. So i thought it went ahead and pre-ordered the album anyway. I looked in my purchased history and saw nothing about the album or that one song, so it charged me for nothing! Any ideas how i can fix this?

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Flash player file working in HTML but same HTML code is not working in JDEV

I have a flash player file which is working just fine in a plain HTML. But not working at all in Jdeveloper's .jspx file. I have no idea what is the issue. Please help.

Don't have an answer for you, but you can put tags around your code so it's more readable... just use left-bracket code right-bracket and left-bracket code slash right-bracket around your code like this:

Paul--you are a life-saver!! Worked great. I did have to look around to make sure I was getting 4.9 instead of 4.7 (even when the file was named 4.9 at techspot.com), but I finally got the right file, did the install as you suggested, and everything is now fine. One note, though, that I haven't seen mentioned in any of this thread: when I first tried to open up iTunes after getting back to 4.9, the following message appeared: "The file iTunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." I merely went to the old .itl file that was created when I did the update to iTunes 5, renamed it, moved it over to my now new 4.9, and iTunes opened fine. My library was a few days out of date, because of the few days' lag from the time I did the iTunes update, but that was easily taken care of, and everything's now working fine. Thanks again!!!

IWeb snippets working locally but not working when uploaded to ISP

I am using iWeb 3.0.2. When I add an HTML snippet to a page to add an item to a shopping cart [ADD TO CART], then publish and view site, the snippet works perfectly.
However when I upload the page to the ISP, the snippet is not displayed even though I can see all the necessary 'widget1_markup.html' present in the page source, and when I browse for that widget URL it is present.
Is something missing from the ISP to process this type of facility, or is it something else.
Your suggestions gratefully received.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. 3What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand? While this is just a guess without looking at your site I'd say that not all of the files in your site's Scripts folder are getting uploaded to the server.
How are you uploading the files? With iWeb's FTP client or a 3rd party client? If it's iWeb's client, publish your site to a folder on your hard drive and use the free Cyberduck client to upload the files.

Posterous blog HTML Snippet problem - not all of blog is showing up...

Good morning all! So I was looking for a solution for our newly formed website (I'm a novice) where I could have multiple users update our blog page without having to use iWeb to do it. I read up on Posterous and it appears this would be an ideal solution. So I found some code from another Apple Discussions poster, Alancito, that would pull my Posterous blog directly into the iWeb page I created. Well it has done that, sort of...
I see the header from the blog, but the content isn't visable. Well, actually if you highlight the header or "blog differently" and then hold down like you're scrolling down the page, the info is there. But the HTML snippet always cuts it off. Even if I expand the size of the snippet in iWeb, it ALWAYS reverts back to this same size.
I'm in a bind here and could really use some help.

...perhaps you don't need an iWeb site at all. If you must have one, consider linking to your Posterous blog directly from iWeb's navigation bar:
Create a blank internal page titled "Blog" (actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that Blog page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:

When installing a new OSX, it is not unusual that some applications will not work. You have to check with the developer to see if they have upgraded to the new OSX or find a substitute application.
In regards to your new HDD, most of the time they come formatted for Windows, not Mac. Connect the HDD to your MBP and open Disk Utility>Erase. To make it compatible, select 'Mac OS Extended (Journaled)' as the format. Click on the Erase button. You then should be able to read and write to it.
