oof script and how and where to import ino Dreamweaver CS4.

  • PE4 crashes when trying to add titles/text

    PE4 has just begun (I have used it for over a year without experiencing this problem) crashing every time that I click on the 'add text' button. I can't get it to crash any other way except by trying to add or edit titles.
    I am using Vista on an HP pavillion with 2.0 Gb RAM and 1.8 Ghz core duo processor.

    Erik,
    Since it seems that working in the Titler (Adding Text) is causing an issue, you might want to investigate your fonts very closely.
    The Titler in PE and PrPro are very, very sensitive to corrupt fonts. Other Adobe programs will not balk, unless you try to actually use one. Titler will crash and bring down the house, with just one corrupt font.
    Best solution that I have is to get a copy of Font Doctor from Extensis and run it on your entire system. It will find all fonts, test them and repair most. Otherwise, it will allow to remove the ones that could not be repaired.
    The other way to check fonts is more involved, hence my rec. above. Move half of your installed fonts (being careful to NOT Move any system fonts). Start PE and test Titler. If it works fine without crashes, Move half (of your original half) back and test. If it's fine, move half of that half back, and so on and so on. If Moving the first half did not work, then Move half of that half and text. Get the picture? The idea is to weed out by dealing in halves, rather than Moving one font at a time. As I have over 9k on the workstaion (not installed at any one time though), you can imagine the headache. Font Doctor found twelve corrupt fonts, and was able to repair ten. I then deleted the other two, and located them on a backup disc. They were fine there.

    I'm trying to get dynamic text to parent to a loader. I don't get any errors, but once I add the code(commented out below) the text that is rendered through the renderText function stops showing up. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the input and feedback. I was able to get this to work by adding a complete event listener. The text shows up now. However, I have some images and now this text that I am trying to save as a PDF with alive PDF. The PDF saves fine, but the entered text does not save along with the PDF file. Right now I have the pdf saving everything in "BGContain" but for some reason I can't see the text in the pdf.

  • How do I add auto text based on value in numeric field?

    Need help... I'm trying to add auto text to a text field based on a value in a numeric field. I want my text field (summary box) to say "Passed" if the value (score box) is equal to 10 and the field to say "Not Passed" if the value is equal to less than 10. My numeric field is being calculated by selecting drop-down lists.

  • Error when attempting to add Oracle Text using DBCA

    Hi all -
    I'm trying to add Oracle Text to my 10gR1 database using DBCA. The Oracle Text option is available, but when I attempt to add it I get the error message: "A tablespace for the database option Oracle Text is not found. Cannot install this option in the database." I have a SYSAUX tablespace, which I believe is the default tablespace for Text, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. I also tried manually adding Oracle Text by running catctx.sql but received the error message:

    ORA-39705: component 'CONTEXT' not found in registry
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SYS_ERROR", line 86
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_REGISTRY", line 757

    this looks like a half way install, I think you should try to deinstall Oracle Text and then reinstall, have a look at note 280713.1 on Oracle Support

  • Cannot Add Large Text Item

    All,
    We are trying to add a text item into portal and we get an error when the size of the item is approximately more than 24k.
    The error shown is err-30584 dbms_sql raised and unhandled
    exception.
    When the size of the text item is more than 32k then, we get an
    http 404 - page cannot be found error while trying to save the item.
    Is there any limit on the maximum size of the text items
    in portal? The version we are using is,
    Oracle Portal Version: 3.0.9.8.0
    Any workarounds are appreciated if this is a known problem.

    FAGLB03 transaction shows the balances ( not the lines ). Only with drill-down you go to the BSEG table and then you can add whatever field you want using a standard SAP functionality of ALV.

  • Trying to add a flowable/expandable text field to the end of a form

    I have created a form in LiveCycle Designer.  At the end of that form, I would like a Summary text box that expands to allow the person who is filling out the form to type as much information as is necessary and it will all be visible/print when they are done.  I have the field to the point where it will expand (finally!) but I have requested that the field allow page breaks (including all subforms it is contained within) but when it expands, it all carries over to the next page and doesn't allow us to go beyond one page of typing.  Is there anyway to remedy this situation so the text will actually "flow" from one page to another instead of just carrying it over?

    I appreciate you replying to my post and maybe this is just that I have never used the forum before but your reply said that you hoped the sample document would help me and I don't see a sample document attached to the reply.  Am I missing something?

  • I am trying to add text to the I photo book inside the which indicate the boundaries but a red  triangle has appeared. for             indicate the boundaries for such text, however there is a small red triangle appearing to say that I have too much text.

    Check the font size, if it's just a little too close to the top of the box, it will reject it.

  • Image turns red when trying to add text?

    I'm using CS5 64 bit on a Win7 64-bit machine, with 8GB RAM.
    I have been creating images, then adding text to them, with no problem. All of a sudden, something is going wrong.
    I have created an image out of a white background with green text. I saved it as a .psd
    Later, I opened it in CS5, and clicked the Text tool. I put the cursor on the image, and the whole image box turned red.
    All the options under Layer (like New or Duplicate) are grayed out.
    The Layers box shows just one layer, named Index. Right clicking on that shows all grayed out options.
    I also tried to add text to a previously saved .jpg with the same result.
    If I make a new image, I can add text correctly.
    And I can also add text to other .jpgs I've made previously.
    So apparently it is something to do with the way these particular files were saved or something?
    I tried resetting the Text tool but that did no good.
    What am I doing wrong? What makes these images different?
    I tried to upload the .psd image in question, but I got an error message saying that "the content type of this image is not allowed".

  • PSCS6 crashes when trying to add text

    I am trying to create a picture made up of text that represents the person inthe picture.
    I go throught he stages of getting the shadows and the midtones layers together then when I add a text layer once I put in the text the program crashes and becomes unresponsive.
    I tried to reduce the amount of text but then only half the text is justified correctly and the bottom half looks as if it is tryong to wrap around an invisible box.
    Has anyone else had this problem?
    Can the amount of text be set so that I can put a large amount of text to make a picture?

    You need to make sure that you have permission to make changes to the document.
    How to check the permission. Open the pdf document in Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
    Click on File --> Properties. Once the properties windows pops up, click on security tab. Under security please check Restrictions Summary:

    Something like this?
    That was from a project I did a few months ago.  Sounds similar to what you want.  I did that in After Effects.
    Basically all I did was add a glow effect to the text and messed around with the glow parameters.  The black smoke is animated and moves on the actual video and is basically some pre keyed smoke footage that I had.  The smoke was originally gray but black looked cooler.
    I'd say it's pretty close to your hot branding iron thing.

    I was wondering if it was possible to create a button in a PDF that, when clicked, adds specific text to a form field?
    I am trying to make a product catalogue where you click on a product button to add the product name or code to a form field.
    Each product in the catalogue will have a button and the more you click the more is added to the form field(s).
    Then when you have finished adding products to the form field(s) I want to be able to save and email the entire PDF as an order form.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    I am trying to add a wireless printer to my MacBook Pro.  It was working properly until we had to get a new modem.  I have gone through the steps with the printer customer service rep, and it was working properly for one day.  When I booted up the next morning, the printer was no longer "connected".  It will work if I have the printer and computer connected, but I much prefer the wireless capability.  Suggestions? The printer is a Brother MFC7860DW.  The other laptop in the house (Dell) can print wirelessly so I don't think it's an issue with the modem or the printer.

  • I'm trying to add prev and next button to a gallery

    I've found a free flash gallery which looks good for my need here: http://www.flashgallery.org/
    The only problem is that the gallery doesn't have prev and next buttons for the full size images, so I'm trying to add them.
    I've been able to add those buttons, but they only work if I don't click on a thumb, as I click on a thumb they stop working.
    In the code there is a function called loadGImage which loads the full size images, originally that function accepted 2 parameters, I've added a 3rd one which store the current image's index inside an array, so that I can use my buttons to call that function with index+1 for next and index-1 for prev.
    In addition to this I've added a variable which is updated everytime a full image is shown, that variable contains the image's index.
    Clicking on thumb the buttons stop working because the current image's index turns to "undefined" so they can't pass a correct value to loadGImage.
    I've checked the code of the gallery, but I can't find where is said to the thumbs to call loadGImage, if I'd found that code I could add the index parameter and my buttons would work.
    I'm sure that the thumbs call loadGImage because I've put a trace() inside the function to see when it is activated.
