Trying to add files to combined files

Hi, I needed to combine a bunch of files into one file. It would only let me do 10 at a time, so I did the 10 and now I cannot figure out how to add more files to the already 10 combined ones. HELP ASAP!

Well, you could combine that one with 9 more.

I am using PSE 9 to build a slide show. When I add audio, I can use mp3's  from my music library in the slide show without any issues ...
but I am getting the following error when I try to add an Elements audio file (example " A _Taste_Of_Sicily.mp3)

I had PSE 8 and upgraded to PSE 9 - I noticed the error file detail shows 8.0 - Is this my problem - maybe an incomplete upgrade ?  (I've made several slideshows mixing photos and music, on an older computer using PSE 8 and never ran into this issue.)

Does that file extension really have a space in it?  If so, remove the space.

  • How to add a new mapping file

I am using SSIS (SQL Server 2008) to replicate from an ODBC source (using .NET Framework Data Provider for ODBC) to SQL Server.
I am using the Import/Export Wizard and encountering the problem described in KB 152728:
SSIS 2008 Import Export Wizard can show numbers instead of data type
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2152728
I am trying to add a new mapping file in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\MappingFiles, but it appears that the new mapping file is not being noticed by the wizard - the dialog box of the wizard (COnvert Types without Conversion Checking) still
    displays
    Source Information:
Cannot locate the mapping file to map the provider types to SSIS types
I tried creating a new mapping file by copying an existing one (DB2ToMSSql10.XML), renaming it ODBCToMSSql10.XML (as near as I can tell, the filename doesn't matter), and changing the SourceType line:
    SourceType="System.Data.Odbc.OdbcConnection"
Is there anything else I need to do?  I was expecting I might find a file that SSIS uses to figure out which mapping file to use, but I was unsuccessful, so I think it looks at the SourceType line.
The following is the full output of the dialog - perhaps I should be modifying DTS\binn\DtwTypeConversion.xml instead?  But that seems messier than creating a new file in DTS\MappingFiles:
    [Source Information]
Cannot locate the mapping file to map the provider types to SSIS types
    [Destination Information]
    Destination Location : (local)
    Destination Provider : SQLNCLI10
Mapping file (to SSIS type): c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\MappingFiles\MSSQLToSSIS10.XML
    [Conversion Table]
    SSIS conversion file: c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\binn\DtwTypeConversion.xml

Hi, did you ever get a solution to this issue? I'm having a similar challenge trying to create a new mapping file which is not being detected by the import wizard.
    Please let me know.

  • Can't add file to baggage files folder

    Hi,
I have a javascript file I'm trying to add to the baggage
files folder. However, for some reason, I can't add it. I'm using
robohelp 6 and roboosource control 3.0. When I try to add the file,
nothing is added to the folder. I was able to add the same JS file
to another project that was created in X5. So I'm unsure what the
    prolem is.
I manually added the javascript file to the rhbag.apj file
but it still doesn't seem to recognize that this file is added to
the baggage files folder or project. I'm still getting a javascript
error as if the file is not in the project.
Strangely enough, when I tried to add the javascript file
from the other project's folder, it asked me if I wanted to
overwrite the js file. But it still doesn't appear in the baggage
files folder or in source control.
    Any help is appreciated.
    thanks
    --Brad

    Hi Rick
Sorry--I guess my previous response wasn’t clear. I did
physically copy the JS file to the local project folder first. I
didn’t think it would magically appear.
In terms of the .apj file, I edited it—adding
the code for the script from another project’s apj where the
same script is working—and saved it. But it’s still not
adding the js file to the baggage files folder or to source
control. When I view the apj file that’s in source control,
it has the js code in there.
I then tried overwriting the apj with the apj from a project
where the script is working (that’s what I meant by
replacing), but that didn’t work either. To add another
twist, the script runs without errors in preview mode, but not in
    the compiled html help.
I’m unsure what’s wrong with this project as this
script is successfully working in other projects and visibly
appears in the other projects’ baggage files folders. I hope
    this was a little clearer.
I’m open to any other suggestions.
    Any questions, let me know.
    Thanks
    Brad

  • Using iDVD, I've no problem creating a slideshow, but I want to add three seperate sound files, in this case speeches I've got in iTunes. I want to create three individual buttons/sub menu to access them individually from the photos. Can anyone help

Using iDVD I've no problem creating a slideshow, but am having problems trying to add three seperate sound files in this case three speeches that I hold in iTunes. I want to be able to access them individually and seperately from the photo slideshow. Can anyone advise if this can be done and if it can, how I go about creating the seperate menu and buttons.

If you'd like to integrate the speeches with the slideshow, I'd do that in iMovie where you'll have more control over the timing.  Use chapter markers at the beginning of each speech so the viewer can jump to a particular speech (note that chapter markers advance the viewer to a particular spot -- the viewer keeps watching the rest of the video until the end of everything or until they use the remote's menu button).
If you're just wanting the speeches to be on the DVD so people can listen to the speeches after seeing your slideshow, you could:
    - use iDVD or iMovie to make a "slideshow" with just 1 image matching the length of a speech.
    - create three submenus and use the speeches as menu music.  Here's a (random) video on creating submenus:

  • Combine Files No Dialogue Box

I'm on a Mac OS X 10.7.5. Tried the Trial version of Acrobat XI Pro and had no problems combining PDF files. I purchased the software at the end of the trial period and suddenly lost the ability to combine files. When I click the link to combine files the "Combine Files Dialog Box" does not open as it did during the trial period. Instead, I can detect a small vertical line appear in the center of my screen shrouded in a mysterious grayish cloud like some artifact in lieu of a dialogue box. I contacted Adobe Chat for support and was first instructed to download the latest update. Then, I was directed to install an Adobe Cleaning program and hit the tab for Clean "All". When this did not resolve the issue I was then instructed to uninstall Adobe Acrobat xi and reinstall. The problem, however, persists. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

  • Problem combining files into a single PDF

    Hi
I wonder if anyone has experienced this. Everytime I try to combine various pdfs into a single one, Acrobat Pro seems to crash or get stuck no dialogue window will come up and the only thing I can see is what I circled in red:
    Hope somebody can help me.
    Thanks!

    Hi John,
Thanks for your reply. The error ocurrs even before I manage to choose files,  the Combine Files into a Single PDF window doesn't even come up when I click on it from the menu. It is definitely not a problem with the files.

  • Dynamic Update of .war files or .ear files

    Hello,
I don't see this ability in the current servlet spec. I was wondering if someone has come up with a way to implement the following idea.
I'd like to dynamically update, add, and remove files from a .war file that is running in X servlet engine/application server. An example is adding new HTML files on the fly, or new Style Sheets. The files that I'm trying to add are not class files or any executable files.
If you have any thoughts on how to do this or have done this, please let me know.
    Thanks for you help,
    d.bretenfeld

It depends on what webserver you're using, and how you configure it.
With Tomcat 4.0, each .war file on startup is extracted to it's own directory and from there any modifications have to be done with the actual files. the .war file is no longer used except as a backup.
Now, with something like JBoss + Tomcat, the .war file is hot deployed anytime a new .war file is copied into the deploy folder. Personally I love this feature, as it forces you to actually "deploy" an application with updates all at once. And actually, you can get around this and modify individual files, but I wouldn't recomend it.
So, as is the answer with so much of Java and J2EE, it all depends on your setup and configuration! =)
I'd be happy to help you out more if you need anything else!

You can "see" the iPhoto library in Time Machine backups, but you cannot "open" the library or "browse" the contents while you are in Time Machine.
Apple makes you restore the entire iPhoto library to another destination...like your desktop....if you want to retrieve a few older images that you may have deleted by mistake.
This is a convoluted mess, but unfortunately, that is the way it is.
See Pondini's excellent, detailed information on this:
    http://pondini.org/TM/15.html
You might also want to post in the iPhoto support area to see if the experts over there might have a workaround for you. I cannot find one, but I'm not an iPhoto expert.
