Trying to add links to my toolbar

I want to add links to my toolbar for my e-mail and FaceBook. How do I do that? I had it on my other computer.

Try Firefox(View)>Toolbar>Bookmarks Toolbar
and then try to add the link again or just click the star button in the navigation bar and were it says folder put it to bookmark toolbar, good luck.

Trying to add Comment and Markup Toolbar

I am the author of a PDF document that I have opened in Adobe Reader 9. I am trying to make a Captivate demo movie on how to annotate a PDF using Reader 9, but the Comment toolbar won't come up. I keep checking it, but the toolbar just won't appear. I viewed my Security settings, but it looks like commenting isn't allowed. How do I change this? All that Adobe has is instructions for Reader 8, but those are outdated.

(Yes, what I assuming that security properties could have been orginally set in Reader 9 by the originator, on pdf with no security; but of course this can't be done.)
Nevertheless I think I have it figured out...
1) the app by default generates pdfs with
     "no security"
     "comments: not allowed"
     (e.g., these are the MS Word defaults)
2) "no security" means Acrobat can add comments
3) "comments: not allowed" means Reader can't.
Is that is?
I know, rtfm. I have no doubt it is behaving as documented.

Even by standard, this is not possible only when you using UDO.
You can create your form with Matrix, and use FlushToDataSource Method to load large amount of data inside. Now you can program the linked button click (et_MATRIX_LINK_PRESSED) by columns.

Microsoft Test Manager 2010(I am trying to add a link, so the link will appear in the expected results)

In Microsoft Test Manager I am trying to add a link in the expected reults tab, so the person testing the test case can click on the link without closing down anything. I am able to add the link in the expected results area, but there is no hyperlink coming
up, so the tester would have to copy and paste it. Is there a way around this?
PS. Sorry if this is in the wrong category, I did not see Test Manager.

Trying to add a Word Press blog to my Dreamweaver site through a linked tab... is it possible? My client wants a blog on his website that I am curently creating in Dreamweaver and I am clueless on how to manually create one using a DB... so is it possible to use a menubar link to go to a wordpress page that would contain the blog? Please help.

Be sure to install WP files inside a separate folder on the domain.

Trying to add a word at the end of a link tag sitewide

I'm trying to add a word before the closing qoute in all links sitewide. Any way to do this without doing each link on all pages separately?

I have tested this on a simple page, so I'm confident it will do what you want, but before proceeding, you must make a backup of your site in case anything goes wrong.
Open the Find and Replace dialog box (Edit menu or Ctrl+F/Cmd+F).
Set "Find in" to "Current Document".
Set "Search to "Source Code".
In the "Find" field, add the following regular expression:
(<a[\s\S]*? href\s?=\s?("|')[\s\S]+?)\2
In the "Replace" field add the following (replace "new_text" with the text you want to add to each link):
$1new_text$2
Select the "Use regular expression" check box.
Test that it works by clicking Find Next followed by Replace.
If you're happy that it's working as expected, change "Find in" to "Entire Current Local Site", and click "Replace All".
Dreamweaver will warn you that you cannot undo changes in pages that aren't currently open. If you're happy, click OK, and the change will be made to all links.

Trying to add a lightbox slideshow caption link to a url hosed my site.

In the lightbox slideshow caption I tried to add an html link to the url of the image and now the all the slide show are hosed. It didn't link from the caption text but was embedded into the sllde show so that all the thumbnails linked to the same url.I even created a new slideshow from scratch and it still linked to the url. Do I have to rebuild the whole site? How and where do look to find the hyperlink to remove it?

Please try to select the caption and remove the link from hyperlink dropdown in top bar menu in Muse.
If this is not the case , post screenshots from design view.

How do I make the firefox toolbar come back? I was trying to get rid of ask toolbar and they both disappeared.

I was trying to eliminate the ask.com toolbar that I did not want, and I somehow eliminated the firefox toolbar too. I want the firefox toolbar back. I also am getting ask.com when I open a new tab, even though mozilla is my homepage with google showing up there, not ask.

To turn toolbars on and off you can either:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar
* right-click the "+" button on the tab bar
* View menu > Toolbars (if you aren't display the classic menu bar, tap the Alt key first to display it temporarily)
You'll want to turn on the Navigation Toolbar.
There's a hidden setting for new tabs:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''newtab''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference and enter your preferred page:
* ''Page thumbnails (default)'' => about:newtab
* ''Blank tab'' => about:blank
* ''Built-in Firefox home page'' => about:home
* ''Any other page'' => full URL to the page
Press Ctrl+t to open a new tab and verify that it worked. Fixed?
If Firefox ignores the setting, one of your extensions may be overriding it. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that fix it?

Add linked button to a editText field

i'm trying to add a linked button to a text field in the header of a JournalEntry. So far i've been able to add it on one of the columns of a document matrix.
Can anybody help me, please?

You need to create a new link button object, set the "linkto" property to point to the UID of the edittext containing the data, and set linkedobject to point to the target object (eg. business partners, items ...)
Set sboItem = sboItems.Add("LINK", it_LINKED_BUTTON)
sboItem.LinkTo = "10" 'UID of separate edittext containing the data.
Set sboLink = sboItem.Specific
sboLink.LinkedObject = lf_BusinessPartner

How to add link in full screen email Lion?

Hi all
I've been using the full-screen versions of most apps since istalling Lion. Not perfect but I like being able to swipe between screens. However the email function in full screen doesn't allow you to add a link to your message. When you hit compose new message the toolbar functions don't drop down. Am I missing something here?

Ps - I also have had the Wifi problem which was resolved by setting up network again. Time Machine does seem to take longer to backup with Lion. Finally, also have problems with email where it can't send emails sometimes. None of these dealbreakers for me but hopefully new release version will deal with them!

You should have a limited toolbar, but the add link button isn't part of it.
You can add a link using the Edit menu (or cmd-k), or select text and right-click (Link>Add Link…)

Trying to add Facebook like button to site

I'm trying to add a Facebook like button with a direct link to like my facebook page
I have read several posts on here regarding this saying how easy it is just copy & paste the code onto a html widget in iWeb
Nothing I try seems to work
I'm copying or have copied all the code into the html snippet but no matter what i try i cannot get it to work
I noticed that most of the posts on this are a bit old 2010 ETC
Has there been a change since these posts & has anyone managed to do it recently

Trying to add menu selections to Workbench

Trying to add additional menu items to represent another set of reports. Looking at <>/Workbench/workspace/conf/ws-mainMenu.xml I see how to define the menu items. But I don't know how that links into any thing else, or how the labels are applied.
Looking at the source of the web page I see this:

but I don't know where that is coming from.

The id's in the ws-mainMenu.xml links off to the ws-extensions.xml file as well as certain "well-known" keys that come bundled with Workbench itself.
For a "Hello World" type example, you can add the following to ws-mainMenu.xml:
<menuitem id="stuff" onLaunchPage="true"/>
and the following to ws-extensions.xml:

defaultName="New Stuff"
defaultDescription="Hello World."

After a restart of the Endeca Tools Service, you should now see your entry in the Workbench. There's a ton of stuff you can do here and additional context variables to make a more "real" Endeca specific extension but this should at least get you started.

Trying to add DOCTYPE tag to Portal base Page

I am trying to add the tag <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Frameset//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/frameset.dtd"> to the top of my base Portal pages so I can use some of the CSS positioning functions. IE does not seem to want to support them unless the DOCTYPE is set. This is an 8.48 / Portal 9.0 installation.
I am having trouble ascertaining which object or code sets the header tags.
I am seeing:

I have seen various spots where <html dir is built in HTML or code but none of them seem to be called along with any code to insert Oracle copyright information.
Is a certain part of this being built through server configuration rather than PeopleCode/HTML combinations?
Does anyone know the objects being invoked?
