Trying to add photo attachments

Hi, I'm not sure what changed, but recently when I click on add attachments while sending an email via gmail, my Aperture library doesn't show up at all. I have tried going through applications and into Aperture that way, but still no joy. The only way I can do it at the moment is by exporting the photos to the desktop and selecting them from there. It gives me the option of an iPhoto library, which I have never installed or used, could this be related to the update to osx 10.6.8? Appreciate any help

You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

By far the easiest solution is to set it up on your computer with the foreknowledge that the recipient will need to Restore as now and put the photos back on. You've got the surprise factor and the post-surprise effort is minimal.

That is how it works. You need to select and sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go, as not including them in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad (as you've found out). So if you want to sync multiple folders so as to have multiple albums on the iPad, they will need to be directly off the same parent folder so that you can then select them.

Error when trying to add photos

I got a new ipod for Christmas and when I tried to add my photos I am getting an error message. I have a gateway laptop, I can add music, but not photos. The message is Ipod cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred(-50). But I can get my music.

You might also need to delete the iPod Photo Cache. You'll need to search for it.

Imovie crashes when trying to add photos

as the title says it. I add photos and then imovie crashes. Killing the app doesn't solve the problem. I need to reinstall For it to work again. but still after reinstall the same happens.

Trying to add photo gallery to Dreamweaver page

Hi,
I would like to add a photo gallery in a style similar to this one: http://www.pezziunici.com/html/prodotti.php?lng=eng&pro=310
with a thumbnail grid on the left and large photos with captions to the right - all on the same page.
I see there is a table structure in the page, but also php. Is there a simple way of doing this (or at least something with step-by-step directions) or an extension that lets you have everything embedded in a Dreamweaver CS4 html page, and both thumb grid and large picture with captions are on the same page? I have taken some html/css courses, but am probably an advanced beginner level (with Dreamweaver also).

Not the same as the gallery you pointed to, but you can embed a Bridge gallery in Dreamweaver. Tutorial on my site at http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/gallery/embed1.php.
You might also want to take a look at the Adobe Widget Browser on Adobe Labs (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/widgetbrowser/). It has some nice gallery widgets available. The widget browser is integrated into CS5, but I think you can use it with CS4 (see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/659849?tstart=30).

Trying to add photos from pc to ipod using Icloud...Help!!

I have an Ipod touch, I simply want to add some photos from my pc (which is not a mac, I`m running Windows 7) to my ipod, I thought I`d be able to do this through `ICLOUD PHOTO STREAM` but I`m not having any luck, can anyone help??? I`m not a computer dummy but I`m not a computer genius either, I wish they`d just make something simple that works for once! Most people that use these programs are just the avg. person not a computer tech.

Each time you use iTunes to sync photos from a computer, it sets the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone to match the current settings/selections on the Photos page of iTunes. For example, if you have previously selected 2 folders or albums to sync from the computer and want to add a 3rd, you need to select all 3 before you sync. That will add the 3rd folder/album and will also add any new photos that are on the computer in the original 2 albums. It really isn't what I would think of as a sync since it is one-way -- it will move photos from the computer to the phone but will not move in the other direction or have any other affect on the photos on the computer. It is a sync in the sense that it will keep the selected folders on the phone in sync with those folders/albums on the computer (i.e., if you add to or delete from the selected folders/albums on the computer then the same changes will be made to the phone).

Trying to add photos to facebook, no photo albums showing

I've always added photos to facebook by selecting the photo first then selecting upload to facebook but for some reason my photo albums on Facebook are no longer showing (even though they are still there)?
Still works ok on my husbands identical phone / set up.
I can upload by going into Facebook first, but not sure why I can't do it the way I always have?

All sorted deleted and re-installed Facebook app (but needed to enter FB password in settings on phone too).

I am trying to add photo's to my contacts on Icloud but keeping getting 'server error' when I try to upload them - anyone got any ideas?

I have resized my photo's yet when I try to upload them on the the person's contact details it says 'server error cannot upload photo at this time'.

If you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

I am a little unclear with your query. Could you please tell where do you see the incorrect email adress. Are you using Adobe email service to send this pictures. For that, please fo to Edit>preferences>Sharing. There you see options to edit your email preferences.

I'm not sure why your friend can't add them but the Nano can be used to store and view photos. "The Nano syncs iPod-viewable photos in JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PSD (Mac only) and PNG formats":

Here's a simple "How To" on downloading photos from a folder on your hard disk to an iPod:
1 Create a folder on your hard drive to hold the photos you want on your iPod. Call it iPod Photos for example
2 Drag the photos you want from your usual picture folder into the folder you just created
2 Open iTunes, select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
3 Click the Photos tab and select “Synch photos from.”
4 Choose “Choose Folder” from the pop-up menu and select the iPod photos folder you created.
On a small device like the 2GB Nano I would tend to leave the "Include Full Resolution photos" box unchecked as these will take up a lot of space on the iPod and are only useful if you want to copy photos from one computer to another. iTunes will add "optimised", small TV quality versions of the photos to the iPod for you to view.
