Restart your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.

You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.

However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on. -

The Activation server for AA 7 was taken down. I am not sure this link is complete, but it might give you some idea. However, on WIn7 and newer, AA7 has problems and will only work with some workarounds, and then kind of clunky.

if you werent using an over-the-air solution, such as MobileMe, Gmail, or Yahoo, etc. Which would have sync'd your contacts, then your solution would be to restore from backup...
to do so:
plug your phone into the computer, and right click on the phone as it shows under Devices, and click on "Restore from Backup..."
this will give you the option to restore from the last backup, or a previously stored backup.

PS. Sync often to get multiple recent backups, in case of any hardware/software failures, as has occured with your device. -

No. If it states designed for both iPad and iPhone, then it won't run on an iPod touch.

As RG says, if you're in the US, you haven't allowed for the sales taxes charged by your city and state. You'll need to buy something less expensive, add a credit card, or redeem an additional iTunes card.

When I try to buy ibooks from my ipad, the virtual keyboard is not the same as my computer keyboard, and since my password consists of letters, numbers and symbols, the ipad keeps displaying "incorrect password". Is there any way around this please anybody?

Are you using the virtual keyboard to input your password and you cannot see/find the characters you need on that keyboard?
Or are you trying to use a bluetooth keyboard and pressing the printed key does not produce the right character? -

That is what I don't understand. I will maybe take a trip out to apple store to see what they say. Funny thing is it let me buy the iOS app with no problems. Trying to buy ibook from the apple store online .....nothing happened
I just tried to buy a ibook and went through all the fill in the blanks
and blah blah got to the end and was waiting for an invoice
and then it said in red letters something like
"your cart does not meet our inventory" or something like it .
So does that mean the ibook was bought before I could buy it?
It let me go all the way to checkout with my card and everything and
then nothing.
If the computer is not really there why can't they put a SOLD OUT
beside the description in our cart so we don't waste our time.
Anyone experience that?

What exactly did you try to buy? I suggest trying it again and if doesn't work, ordering it on the phone. You can order a computer online by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).

Since I have Ibooks 3.0.2 I can't start Ibooks on my Ipad1.For iBooks try downloading the current version on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your purchase history. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of it.
You can also try similar for the Kindle app - I don't know whether Amazon have made older versions of their app available in the store, so it may not work for that. If not, then as a work-around you could use their cloud reader 'app' : http://read.amazon.com - go to that site on Safari on your iPad and then create a homescreen shortcut for it (kindle cloud reader help)
