    i have a mac pro iso and i am trying to buy music but i can not because the question they are asking i did not provide i need to get into my security so that i can right them down so i can buy music

    Sheila,
    That is impossible for us to answer, since you did not say where you are trying to buy music.
    If one online music download store is not working for you, try a different one.  Here are some suggestions:
    iTunes Store
    Amazon Digital Music
    Google Play Music

    Crich,
    The usual reasons for an Apple ID getting disabled are either unauthorized activity or violations of the Terms & Conditions.
    Submit your request to iTunes Customer Service and if appropriate, they will re-enable it.

  • I'm having trouble purchasing iTunes music and this pops up security questions in which I never ever made. I need help on it liek ASAP and I'm trying to buy music, I'm fustrated as is.

    Can anyone help me I'm trying to buy music on iTunes and a security question thingy pops up and I didn't even setup a ANSWER about it. I need help on it and I need these music like ASAP! I'm really ****** off about it.

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

    Reset Security Questions
    Frequently asked questions about Apple ID
    Manage My Apple ID
    Or you can email iTunes Support at iTunes Store Support.
    If all else fails:
      1. Go to: Apple Express Lane;
      2. Under Product Categories choose iTunes;
      3. Then choose iTunes Store;
      4. Then choose Account Management;
      5. Now choose iTunes Store Security and answer the bullet questions, then click
          Continue;
      6. Sign in with your Apple ID and press Continue;
      7. Under Contact Options fill out the information and advise iTunes that you would
          like your security/challenge questions reset;
      8. Click Send/Continue.
    You should get a response within 24 hours by email.
    In the event you are unsuccessful then contact AppleCare - Contacting Apple for support and service.
    Another user had success doing the following:
    I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
    Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
      a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
          tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
      b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
          "done", in the upper right corner
      c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
          Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
          should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
          security questions.
      d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
          selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
          should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
          questions.
    It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
    Good Luck friends!

  • After I updated my iPod it would ask me to answer security questions when I tried to buy music but I never answered the questions

    After I updated my iPod it would ask me to answer secuirity questions when I tried to buy music but I never answered the questions in the first place

    Click here for information. If you can't reset them through the method described in that article or by sending yourself a rescue email(the email may take a few hours to arrive), contact the iTunes Store staff via the link in the 'Additional Information' section.
    It isn't possible to create a rescue email address without correctly answering two of the questions. Nobody on these boards can reset them for you.

  • Error when trying to buy music

    Just tonight, when I tried to buy some songs (two different ones), I got the following error "Could not purchase SONG NAME. The requested resource was not found." After awhile of hitting the buy button, both songs eventually purchased, but I had to keep trying. Whats going on here?

    I was trying to download a free single tonight, and can't!
    When I go to complete the purchase, I am asked for my User ID and Password. I enter both. iTunes cycles like it is going to try to complete the transaction then hits me with this little beauty:
    "Your request could not be completed.
    Make sure your computer's date is set correctly and that it accepts cookies from the iTunes Music Store. For detailed solutions to resolve this issue, click More Info."
    More info takes me here:

    I'm on a Mac. Not a PC. What gives? I just want the free Them Crooked Vultures track!

  • Trying to buy music for de-stressing and getting disastrous results

    Hello to someone who can help,
    I have been trying to access the iTunes store for quite some time now and I have been met with the screen opening the store and then having this white, blank screen greet me and take over the iTunes store screen and not be able to get any music for buying (even when I use the search bar). I was wondering if anyone had a brilliant theory and solution to this crisis (as all of mine are completely prepoterous). Thank you

    Yes, because you only tried one online music store and then you got all stressed when you encountered a problem.
    To de-stress yourself, buy some tracks at another online music download store, such as Amazon.com.
    You can buy MP3s from any online source and add them to your iTunes library.

  • Getting an error -208 when trying to buy music

    When trying to listen to music in the music store, purchase music or listen to music that I have previously purchased I am requested to authorize my machine by typing in my username and password. (I have no problem listening to songs that were loaded from CD's.) I am then prompted that I have authorized 1 machine of 5 available. When I have closed this window I recieve the prompt "We could not complete request. Unknown error occurred (-208)."
    What should I do?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Getting Error 9812 when trying to buy music from ITunes store

    I want to buy one song from the ITunes Store. I am able to access the song, but when I push the "Buy Song' button, it says "Unable to access Itunes store - an unknown error occurred - 9812". I have tried to fix ITunes through the Control Panel - this did not help. I tried switching ethernet cords - this did not help. I am able to access the internet and receive email so I don't understand why I cannot access the store.

    I had this problem just recently.
    I discovered that the problem was located here: ROOT / Users / Shared  -- if you open that and the "adi" folder has a little red minus symbol in its corner, your permissions have somehow been lost. (If you can't see your root directory, open Finder Preferences and, under sidebar, check "Hard disks." That will make your root drive visible.)
    If the "adi" folder has the red minus symbol, right-click the folder and select GET INFO.
    Sharing & Permissions is probably set to "System: Read & Write | wheel: Read Only | everyone: No Access"
    If so, your user account has no permissions, and that means iTunes can't use the folder properly.
    To fix this, first unlock the folder using the padlock icon in the bottom-right corner of "get info." You will have to supply your admin password to do this.
    Then click the little + sign in the bottom left corner to add a user, and select your user ID from the list of choices. Give yourself Read & Write permissions. (Alternatively, you could change the permissions of "everyone" to Read & Write; others have done that, but I was leery of doing it).
    Re-lock the folder when you're done.
    Hopefully that will solve it.

  • I have a new ipod nano and have created an Apple ID and provided all of my account details including address (shipping and billing and debit card). When trying to buy music through itunes I am told to review my account details. i.e. I cannot use itunes!!

    I have a new ipod nano but at the moment I am unable to download music through itunes. I'm so disappointed. I have created an Apple ID, reviewed and inputted all of my data for my account and still get told to 'review account' because my ID has not 'been used with Itunes before. Why is this happening and why don't apple have a more intuative way of dealing with this.
    Please help, I am completely frustrated.

    You'll either have to redeem an iTunes gift card, or create a new ID by following the directions here:
